I just wanna point out that you apparently dont understand my comment. first of all, I said that the comment is not at all based on facts and makes alot of assumptions so plz learn to read. secondly, I used barbershops as an example bc it was present in the og post, of course barbershops and hairsalons dont keep each gender out, afterall they are based on profits. The problem with segregated spaces is that often Men take the blame, If a woman wants to go into a mans barber shop and they tell her "we cant serve you bc we dont know how to" its sexist but when a man walks into a womens barbershop (is it also a barbershop then?) he will probably be called out as a pervert. WARNING: this comment makes alot of assumptions and is basically not at all based on empirical evidence and only partially related to the original post.
