Also keep in mind that it's 50% of a really small population, not really relevant when we look at how many people pay more than they receive on a State level. 1	The real gender gap: the tax gap Men earn, on average, more than women. Thus, it is only logical that they pay more taxes, since rich people are more taxed and pay more money than poor people. An obvious corollary to the above is that they need less government aid, since they are, on average, richer.
