I am from a country where 95% of the marriages are arranged by parents and thus divorce rates are less than 1%. I will never be able to wrap my head around the institution of marriage in the West. If 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce and the average lifespan of a marriage is less than 7 years, why do people even bother paying huge amounts of money to the Wedding Industry?
