SA, SH and DV Story ThreadI am not, no 🤣 We are still incredibly close, and hopefully will remain so. Its quite a coincidence I saw him here, but thats a pretty unique experience, so its not gonna be anyone else 😭 | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 17/07/24 10:46 AM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadYeah. I'm the idiot who put the mud on his burns, and we're still friends. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 17/07/24 08:21 AM
How can they criticise us for not being able to discuss our issues without bringing up feminism when they also can't discuss our issues without bringing up feminismNo I don't. I think its rooted in the patriarchal structure that a few rich and powerful men decided to set up to fuck us all over. They put us in tight little boxes where men are restricted to not showing emotion and basically being robotic labour slaves till you ither die of it, or get to spend the last few years of your life in pain and you're supposed to be grateful for that. It socialises men to act out their problems with violence, and then treats them like predators. There's also a ton of… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/07/24 10:54 PM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadSorry about the mud dude 🤣 We're even though, since you did kick me in the face. I'm not sure how you even got your foot up that high 💀 | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/07/24 10:46 PM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadThanks man, appreciate it. yeah, you're reading that right, lol. It was extremely normal for me at the time, a friend of mine also posted here, and since we both had shit upbringings, especially in terms of mothers, I grew up with a skewed idea of what a childhood should look like. My dad was pretty horrified by all that but he's been very understanding of some stuff I still have cause of it and sometimes I forget just how not normal it was. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/07/24 10:43 PM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadThank you, I am too. He's the only adult in my life I've ever genuinely been able to trust, and he's doing awesome | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/07/24 11:35 PM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadI don't think there's anything I can say that can even begin to make a dent in all of the trauma you have undergone, and if this was just a vent you are welcome to ignore everything I say. That is not DARVO. In fact, you experienced DARVO, so that therapist doesn't know what the fuck she's on about. Is she part of the cult? Because if she's an actual therapist her liscence should be revoked forever. You and nobody else in that fucking group deserved anything that happened to you. You matter, and… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/07/24 10:03 AM
SA, SH and DV Story ThreadI grew up thinking my father was a deadbeat who left my mum the second he found out about the pregnancy. I apparently looked just like the man, and this was her excuse for beating the shit out of me on a near daily basis. Stuff got worse when I turned 6. She married my stepfather, the scum of the literal earth. I haven't touched alcohol, drugs or anything else because of that man, not since I was 9 at least. So something good came out of that. When I was 11 I got taken away and put in foster car… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/07/24 12:00 AM

How can they criticise us for not being able to discuss our issues without bringing up feminism when they also can't discuss our issues without bringing up feminismOh yeah, 100%. And this interaction was definitely more proof that I should be doing so. Its been a while since I had such a productive conversation. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/07/24 05:19 PM
How can they criticise us for not being able to discuss our issues without bringing up feminism when they also can't discuss our issues without bringing up feminismI'm pretty new so I can't judge that well, But one of the first things I saw was this: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates/comments/1e0b48k/i_just_caused_a_shitstorm_on_facebook_because_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Which definitely put me off, but overall it seems pretty good at sticking to criticizing feminism than women as a whole. And this could be considered more creepy than misogynistic. The fact that it was taken down… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/07/24 05:13 PM
How can they criticise us for not being able to discuss our issues without bringing up feminism when they also can't discuss our issues without bringing up feminismHonestly I'm kind of teetering on the edge now. I'm starting to disagree with some parts of what feminism as a whole seems to b moving to, and if I even try to spark any kind of conversation I get downvoted into oblivion. The other guy had a really well thought out argument, and I was not called any slurs, which is always a plus. This sub seems to be a whole lot less clinically insane than either mensrights or askfeminist stuff. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/07/24 05:01 PM
How can they criticise us for not being able to discuss our issues without bringing up feminism when they also can't discuss our issues without bringing up feminismLook, I'm not denying that toxic feminists exist, but don't MRAs do the same? Whenever I talk about the shitty aspect of some of their toxicity, majority of people respond that they're just people exploiting the grievances of men, and not true MRAs. I feel like everyone gets tunnel vision sometimes, but don't you think there's a way to bridge the gap? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/07/24 03:06 PM
"Emotional labour" is the term women use when they emotionally abuse men.Because then they are a 'pick-me', as though that term isn't insanely misogynistic. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/07/24 09:39 PM
What are some mens issues that people don't know about?Socialisation, lack of mental support, and of course the biological reason that men are on average stronger. Male disposability also comes into this given how little support we give young men and boys turning to gangs and violence when offered insufficient support | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 09/07/24 12:01 AM
