I told him. I realised about a year later that I spent about two months sitting at my desk staring blankly at my screen. Boss says he did everything he could during that period to “divert work away from me”! Things get better!

Yes, started sending me instagram reels of annoying husbands a few months prior to blowing up our lives and leaving me for a total loser. Went through a few months of “living her best life” which involved blowing every penny she had on holidays and nice clothes. I moved on. Now every time I see her she just looks sad and worn out. Perhaps realising what she gave up to be with a loser with no prospects. Hey ho…

Shagging my hot girlfriend, mainly (and hitting the gym, getting promoted at work, cooking, guitar lessons and a bit of woodwork!). Loving life, generally.

Got straight on Tinder, Hinge and Bumble within a month or so of finding out my wife of 8 years had been cheating on me and I moved out of the family home. Initially it was a complete disaster, but gradually I got into it, went on a couple of awful dates before meeting the girl I’ve been seeing for the last year. Probably met her about 7 months post D-Day. Divorce was finalised about a month ago. I wouldn’t recommend it - I wish I’d waited a good year before getting back into the dating game.

Love this!! My life for the last 5 years - I’m now free of it.

This really struck a chord with me. I was exactly where you are 8 months ago. It gets much, much easier, day by day. Enjoy your new freedom, enjoy the time you have with your kids. By kind to yourself and don't rush to get over anything. You'll heal from this in time and get stronger, work out what it is you really want in life, and if you want it, find someone much, much better. Everything will be OK.

Thanks. I’m a different person to who I was 5 years ago. I spent two years going to AA meetings twice a week and my wife stuck by me through the worst of it. I thought that getting myself sober would fix everything, but it didn’t. If anything, I think my wife now finds me boring.

I’m soon to be separated and haven’t been in the dating game for 11+ years. Slightly terrified but also looking forward to getting stuck in to it all again! Thanks for the tips (I will avoid POF!)

Yeah thanks. Thinking about getting a new wardrobe and reconnecting with some old friends who I haven’t seen in a long time. A lot of my old friends had an issue with her, actually!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
