I've never known an MRA to advocate women's rights. It's about men and men only is why it goes by the name, MR. And I have had dozens of arguments with MRAs who scoff when I mention rape culture or patriarchy. They don't believe in it. So I don't see how equality can begin with a movement this ignorant of reality.

This reminds me of the Steubenville incident where pity was expressed for the rapists.

The issues you're talking about aren't really a matter of men's rights, it's a problem of conservatism and traditionalism. Men are looked upon as the stronger gender, thus you're going to be treated as such. The best way to change that is to change the system and views within society. I notice that MRAs have a habit of saying 'What about MY suffering?' especially in the presence of feminists. It does make them look bad. And the example you gave is very good. Their insensitivity to women's suffering is part of their downfall and I find it difficult to sympathize with their arguments when they do that. This is why their label MHRA makes no sense to me. A human rights activist wouldn't treat women this way.

It's in the manner MRAs behave that is the problem, both in reddits and youtube. Also, AVFM is anything but pro-women. And johntheother once said that the MRM is a hate group. What he meant by that exactly can be surmised by his video where he mocks rape victims. There is also Paul Elam, who doxes women and labels himself as the 'happy misogynist' So is the MRM a hate group? From certain angles, it clearly is.

A lot of you here have a very low opinion of women. It really is disturbing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
