The problem is not that they're uncomfortable, but the implications as to why. It's often a very pervasive consequence of preconceptions women are encouraged to have about men. It may not necessarily be true here (the OP didn't quote the things the women were saying), but it's a classic example. The women in question shouldn't be shamed for it by any means. This MRA certainly hasn't been using it exclusively in that way. I don't know why someone would use it exclusively in that way, either. I mean, it's the conviction without evidence we should be concerned about, right? To me, that's indicative of a men's rights issue. Not the fact that women are capable of lying. Honestly, the placement of the two sexes here isn't something I would've otherwise read into. I would've assumed this was just about the divide on guns, plain and simple. But that may be influenced by my experience within my family, wherein the pro-gunners include most of the women but only about a quarter of the men.
