I agree with you, these people only serve to influence those that are easily swayed by evil, and with lesser penalties also come more criminals. I’ve had to personally encounter several of these people, and they will never change, if anything, they live without hiding it as in (at least my society), it seems to be prevalent to be a wrongdoer.

At university for my law degree I was taught that the constitution of my country states that criminals deserve the right to social reintegration, but how people like this deserve such a right is beyond me. Either the people making these laws are criminals themselves so this is a back-up plan for them, or government officials are so corrupt that they can’t or won’t spend money on the penitentiary system, and want people to spend as little time as possible in prison, or both… Here in Spain, the le…

Yeah, my fault to point fingers, given that they live in a multi-family house it makes things difficult for them. Only thing they can do if they want to change the situation is to move away and act as if she didn't exist, at least that worked for me. Blood is many a time not thicker than water.

This makes things clearer, I shouldn't have fabricated a story by myself though. I've cut out every toxic person in my life so I see it from another point of view, but I hope sooner or later something changes for the better for you!

I agree otherwise, she can control the situation. And how in god's name did the cousin suddenly appear in the house unannounced? Who would give that psychopath a key? Edit: OP's girlfriend shouldn't be the one to take the blame, in their situation they have it difficult to avoid the psycho cousin, and the best course of action would be to move away soon to an apartment they can call their own.
