According to the National Center for Educational Statistics I derived there was about 12,587,000 18- to 24-year-olds enrolled in postsecondary as of 2010 in the US. A majority of which were female - though it only sites a % increase since 1988 - so, even if we call it 50/50 m/f enrollment, there was about 6,293,500 women "College Aged" as of 2010 and enrolled. Don't forget, not 100% of women go to college. Saying '20% of all women' is not accurate. It WOULD be a high number, agreed... if it were accurate.
