They are more likely, I don't know how much here is a link to a meta study which cites that Results revealed that observed gender differences were not explained by measurement bias and thus can be interpreted as true sex differences. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25546498/ Interesting find, but I can't interpret the data. Could be useful for therapy in the future.

Np problem i'm german and needed some attempts to find it. In my point of view it's a classical "fundraiser". There are many obvious legit points like physical attacks and so on. Then there are the points you mention afterwards which are then used to prop the numbers up. Look, the udssr was an authoritarian regime, I lived for a while directly across the wall in Berlin. If you have to hinder your citizens from leaving that says something. You sure can find positive viewpoints, characteristics which were positive/better than in capitalist society's but don't delude yourself.

I always had the feeling that the movies were the reason for it. till the end of book 3 it was always balanced after this ron was always the bad guy and you could have cut him out. I didn't have the impression that cho was to be interpreted as the good side. Book 6 was crazy with hermione assaulting ron. I hated the interpretation of ron in 6 as a sexist jerk, maybe because I don't have a sister, but it was pretty alienating when i was younger.

Well what's the alternative. They can either admit that western feminism has a good/bad dichotomy which doesn't help or they double down. Yes, but in this case there is no difference between the positions. A vaccine mandate is a intervention into the body autonomy. It just sounds less aggressive, which makes it less controversial. And the second position is more general and the first is concrete. But it is not a Motte and Bailey argument.

Some fallacies can be correct in context. E.g. the slippery slope argument if the slope is realistic. For example the legalization of cannabis can lead to further decriminalization of other drugs like mdma and LSD. Which is probably realistic so you can use it as an argument.

I think there was a tool which showed that someone who subbed to menslib was x amount higher to sub to witches vs. Patrichary and the likes. And x was really high. Like 5 at least I think higher.

No I don't think so, it opens just a lot of options and will never end. In the end it often also comes down to individual choices. Men smoke more often etc. Age of retirement should be based on type of work so let's say working a physically demanding job every year counts as 1.1 or something comparable.

I personally would take out all points who can be explained away for example death by alcoholism, 1 in 4 people think men would enjoy to be raped. These points while if you have a deeper discussion are valid, would prompt an answer like "men drink much more due to toxic masculinity, many men say the would like to be raped etc." Harsher sentences for the exact same crime is something you can prove with statistics. Yes I always told friends for a political group for which correct terms and everything related is so important it's pretty telling that they use the term even if everyone must have noticed that the term doesn't come across "correctly". So there could be 2 reasons why it's still used, there is no other possible term or it is intended as offensive.

Oh I'm with you on all these points. I just don't see any political chance to push these issues in the next years. The well has been poisoned, which politician would really push forward here? So as I see it we can do something in private e.g. Talk to people, help men in our family, have some polite discussions online and so on.

I don't think there is anything possible to be done. The incel term has its uses for some people (it's a slur with which nobody want to be associated with so kind of killing a debate) and who really wants to start a debate in public that incel is ironically pure toxic masculinity. Everyone has these biases. The more extreme your political stance is the more biased you'll be on average. Problem is we have a confirmation bias which we have to keep in check. The problem with feminism is that it's so mainstream that the necessity for checking your bias is low since you get a lot of agreement. It's not necessarily tinfoil. It's just that educated people are more likely to vote "left" so the classic left themes disappear, since it is not important for the target group. Good example would be the greens in Germany which is more or less a leftist party for rich people. So gender and environment are important. The growing differences between the rich and poor are in the background.
