So, last week I underwent a Bod Pod and resting metabolism test. While my current body fat % is healthy, my metabolism is so abnormally slow (PCOS) that they calculated I need to eat 1000-1100 calories per day PLUS exercise in order to lose weight. That low number feels unhealthy to me, but I went to a very reputable place to take the studies. It feels hopeless.

If you’ve got a higher budget, I’m a big fan of White House Black Market. High quality and usually cut very well. If your budget is smaller, I love Lulu’s dresses and I know they have skirts too. I’ve also recently fallen in love with Halara due to how comfy they are. I have two skirts and they have pockets and one has built-in shorts for modesty.

Women shame promiscuous women because they are throwing sex around and devaluing it for the rest of us. Women are gatekeepers to sex, while men are the gatekeepers to commitment, so when some of us give up their power so readily and frequently, it makes it harder for the rest of us.

I have my own moral and religious problems with porn. But coming strictly from a RedPillWomen perspective, it’s also horrible because when men are given sexual engagement or gratification (like porn) without any commitment or self-improvement required — essentially not earning it — then they have no incentive to better themselves or treat women well.

And even if they’re not, hearing those kinds of words can truly make an impact if they’re not used to hearing them! Physical touch wasn’t my love language until meeting my partner, and it made me realize how touch-starved I’ve been my whole life.

It’s less the products and more my abject loathing of the tasks.

I still suck at cleaning, but I love teaching myself how to cook by finding recipes on Pinterest (I have a board for meals I want to try with subsections for breakfasts/dinners/etc). A LOT of learning how to cook is just doing it and following the instructions. Experiment, fail, adapt, and improve :)

I try to go 3x a week, but the only thing that really gets me to the gym (because I absolutely DESPISE working out) is attending the Les Mills BodyPump group classes. Very fun, motivating, and I’ve met some great people that makes it easier to force myself to go even when I’m not feeling it

My bf has chronic GI issues that results in some very unattractive symptoms, so I understand the tendency to let it influence your attraction. However, like my bf, if yours is truly a good man, loving, and not “giving up” to his condition, I see little reason to bail. Quality men are hard to find, and those are the traits that will stick around much longer than his looks/body. I realize you can’t always control who you’re attracted to, and yes it’s sometimes difficult to maintain it if your part…

A million times this. In occasions like these, my inner FDS comes out and I encourage women to focus on being and becoming high value. If the man is interested, he will make his intentions known and will put in the effort to “win” you over. High value men pursue, but don’t play. Only children play games.

I’m not going to judge your choice of employment, but you have to ask yourself about the kinds of men who 1) You’ll meet at your job and 2) Don’t mind your current profession. If you want a traditional man, most traditional men don’t respect or want to marry a sex worker. Not trying to sound harsh, but I think your objective doesn’t match your current situation

My man is 5’6” and I am 5’5.5”. When I wear shoes, I’m taller than he is. But he exudes confidence and has strong body language, so I hardly notice his height. Femininity is all in your attitude and lifestyle! Honesty I’m sick of that bullshit notion that men shorter than 6’ are somehow inherently less. It’s a toxic idea that has infected both Red Pill and Blue/Purple Pill and Female Dating Strategy.

I’m sorry to have to break this to you, but your boyfriend is almost certainly pornsick. You’re not being unreasonably jealous...he is fantasizing about other women while in a relationship with you. Run and run fast.

I got the same impression. I feel that his concerns sound less about OP’s safety and more for some other reason. I’m all about respecting boundaries and not nagging your captain, but when one partner’s love language needs are deliberately not being met (and with very weak reasoning to justify), this needs to be addressed.

Then it really sounds like you aren’t ready to marry him, or anyone else for that matter. I’ve been burned in the past too, but I’ve since worked on myself and taken the time and steps to move on and grow from it.

This. Exactly this. I seriously started getting real anger reading OP’s post — not at her because I’ve been cheated on before when the other girl was “no threat” — but because his behavior is just so egregious. Completely unacceptable and a deal breaker

You can split the difference and wear tight pencil skirts/mermaid skirts so he gets to see your butt and you get to wear feminine clothing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I suggest checking in with r/asexual because they have resources and advice there. I was a member for a while when I used to believe I was asexual. There are cis men out there who want a relationship.

All of those things are true...and then you go and say OP is unreasonable for objecting to this behavior and suggest she is in the wrong for finding it on his system (that he gave her permission to access). If she is disturbed by his porn usage, I agree she cannot change him and that confronting will probably only make him hide it, but that tells me they are not compatible.

You’re ignoring the fact that while FTND might not be led by scientists, their articles cite (and link) many actual studies conducted by real scientists, and mental and sexual health professionals

I sense you are overlooking the “captain’s” role in this. Both partners should build the other up, not belittle them or emphasize their own superiority. Showing adoration in the face of a dismissive “joke” doesn’t strike me as a healthy way of boosting his ego...doesn’t feel like it needs any more boosting at that point. Bottom line: adoration, support, and building up the other is a two-way street.

That sounds like a wise and productive course of action. I wish you all the best, regardless of outcome!

Perhaps not 100% wrong, but only about 20% right ;) You are justified in feeling that way if that’s how he is revealing himself. If it makes you this uncomfortable now, that feeling isn’t going to go away over time, especially if he doesn’t make a genuine good-faith effort. Which he may, but it’ll be the result of more open communication.

I’ve absolutely been there before...on both sides. I’ve felt inferior and superior in relationships, and they didn’t last. My bf and I (also going on 2-yrs together and cohabiting for about 6-8mo) also have very sarcastic senses of humor. However, we are always unified and direct it outward. We’ll make a shared joke about some bad driver or some rude lady in the supermarket, etc. Never directed at one another.

His view of what constitutes “being smart” appears to be pretty limited. You even spelled out how you two complement each other’s weaker areas...hopefully he’ll be able to expand his worldview in time to save this relationship

I knew a relationship counselor who told me that those little biting and “joking” comments are a symptom of underlying lack of respect when directed at their partner. Like the other commenter said, I’m not trying to make absolute claims not even knowing you or your boyfriend, but I want to affirm that your feelings are valid and it will require extensive communication. Hopefully he will be self-reflective and open minded enough

There have been some good comments here that I don’t want to repeat, but bottom line: do you feel he respects you and truly sees you as an equal? I know from experience that feeling inferior (or superior) to your partner, and that feeling being reinforced by their behavior, is the kiss of death. Lack of respect in the relationship, even if it’s self-respect, takes away the very foundation it’s built upon. Also, was his apology a real one, or a “sorry it hurt your feelings” sort of non-apology? I…

Agree 100% with the first paragraph and most of the second, but it’s clear to me that OP is the one putting forth all the effort to make this marriage work. She’s not the one destroying the marriage — I don’t want to use the term “deadbeat” yet, but 1st paragraph will determine that pretty quickly.

You can want to be taken care of, but be prepared for the very real likelihood that you’ll have to be self-reliant for good stretches of time. Have that mental fortitude and experience to know you can survive on your own without safety nets. It’s how you will avoid making bad decisions out of fear (like getting married to the wrong man because you’re afraid of being on your own)

I agree women should be treated like queens if they are queenly! Having a vagina doesn’t mean you are worthy (we all agree LVW exist). Expecting men to pay one’s expenses just because she’s female feels very entitled and low-value to me.

In this day and age, the man’s role of being a financial provider feels pretty obsolete. Unless you want to be a housewife or stay-at-home mom, this feels like wanting to cling to the financial benefit of traditional gender roles while ignoring the inconvenient ones.

I do — I agree the man is holding a double standard and is a piece of shit. I just chose to address the implied secondary message of the meme (that the woman is therefore in the right).

Absolutely this. I’m worried this sub gives women the wrong expectations for married life... it should be a partnership, and unless it’s your full time job to be a homemaker/SAHM, it’s just as much his responsibility to do his fair share of the housework.

You’re making the right move!! I also stayed with him because I was afraid he was the best I could get (plus he was just so darned niiiice), but I realized it IS true: better to be alone than with someone who makes you wish you were alone haha. Good luck! Edit: just to emphasize, my ex was the same way about not googling how to do basic shit. That will never get better — it stems from his lack of ambition and self-development and assumption you (or somebody) will do it for him. So unless you wan…
