Would you strategically overthink and overanalyse your next 8 moves in chess just to take a Pawn when they have a hanging Queen? Bickers/arguments are the same. Picking your battles wisely with your partner will also allow her to subconsciously realise you make good decisions. All you need to do is wait for the correct opportunity to put your foot down, and that will win you the game.
