Who's in charge of determining who gets freedom? Freedom is a basic human right. Any worthwhile ideology proceeds from this point.

People don't run from the scene of "drunk college hookup" like fugitives. "Drunk college hookups" don't usually end with one person in the hospital, with bruising and dirt in their vagina.

Probably the one who committed a crime. It's not a crime to be drunk. Sexual assault is a crime.

I guess I'm just curious what you consider a right, then?

That makes no sense. Someone can take everything from you. That implies there are no rights. We as a society define certain things that everyone is entitled to, regardless of their position. Life is one of them. It is illegal to murder someone.

True, they're a social construct. Still, if we can't agree that (not being murdered) is more important, as a fundamental socially defined right, than (not being lonely)...we're in deep fucking trouble.

Pretty sure that life - not being murdered is a human right. You much even consider it inalienable, you know, along with liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Many people would agree with that statement.

Loneliness is painful, I know. But getting attention or sex isn't a human right; not getting shot is.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
