Yep. What’s yours? To get to a professional youth team someone has to believe you have the ability to become a full professional player. To get on an average HS team you have to have the ability to be better than ~50-70 kids at your school. Even you can understand how that’s a gigantic jump in quality.

As someone who played college soccer I can tell you that you’re not correct. A lot of the guys I played with in HS went D1 to major schools but none were good enough to be on a pro youth team. The jump in skill you’re talking about is absolutely massive between pro youth players and average HS players.
