Encouraging women to stfu sounds like it would breed resentment. Why shouldn't people just tell their partners when something is bothering them? Seems like that would be much healthier.

danger does not negate desire. It only creates a barrier to achieving it. We're not talking about danger, we're talking about unpleasant physical sensations. I would be willing to give you that most women want to be sexually dominated-- and they can have that in normal sexual relationships. Fringe fantasies cause pleasure when relegated to the mind, but would cause pain if enacted. Women have no reason to seek out fringe fantasies because their desire for dominance can be satisfied through norma…

Another divide between male/female fantasy is pain. Very few things that a man would fantasize about would bring him pain if he were to enact those fantasies. It's a reality of biology, there is more of a risk of pain to the person being penetrated. Meanwhile most "out there" female fantasies (rape, gangbangs, rough anal, etc.) would hurt in real life. And women know this, which is yet another reason that some female fantasies are meant to stay fantasies.
