Yes, birds of a feather. I once saw my fiance (my future ex husband at the time), talking together with my first boyfriend (who was a total meanie) AND a guy who attacked me on the way home from school when I was younger (who presented as as a Sensitive New Age Guy as an adult). Whoops, hit Post too early. So, I married a guy who waited until we were married to start treating me badly. He helped everyone, absolutely everyone but me. I’m old and I don’t understand that any better than when my first boyfriend pulled the old bait and switch on me, nice until he knew I wouldn’t leave and stated treating me badly, broke up with me, then wanted me back. I simply couldn’t understand why he’d want me if he didn’t like me enough to treat with respect. The way I turned him down is probably legend in my hometown.

Working in the garden with my then husband, we were right beside each other when we accidentally hit a hornet nest by our feet. One old friend fell off the radar when she “wasn’t good with computers” so we communicated through her husband’s email address. Then she stopped replying. Years later, she happened to be by his computer as he was on Hotmail and saw that I was online and was all, holy sh*t, where have you been? I knew he was there so I didn’t ask why didn’t you answer my emails? I knew right then and there he wouldn’t let her see my emails. That’s why.
