She's really stupid. The best advice I can give a man about divorce is to marry a woman dumber than you.

What possesses people to cheat? Sheer and utter stupidity and selfishness.

My lawyer was smart, my ex was dumb, and she let herself get backed into logical corners where she looked evil no matter how she answered. A good lawyer can make all the difference. She literally told the judge that it would be in my best interest to sell my home, leave my job and my community, and move closer to where she had moved to. I think my congressman would have had a field day with the judge if she'd forced a disabled veteran to be homeless.

Toddlers. My youngest had just turned one when she left. I'll never understand how a person can look at a one year old and still be okay ripping his family apart and disadvantaging him the way she did.

Sadly, no. My lawyer asked me to trust her and offer not to receive any child support to bolster our argument. No woman would ever have had to offer that.

Go for it. Everyone else has.

It is possible. The most important thing in my case was showing that the children will live better lives and have more stability with me, but also that I am the most likely to promote a positive relationship between them and their mother.

Wife made 50/50 impossible since she moved very far away. She also made an absolute ass of herself in court, along with lots of other convenient things that lined up well for me. God had His hands on my situation for sure.

The courts usually try to do minimal upheaval to the children. If your kids are established in a school and community, the judge usually hates to see that change over one parent's selfishness.

I caught her in her affair, she got in the car and left. Never came back. She moved into her mommy's basement and then filed from there.

She admitted to cheating in court, moved 200 miles away, and told the judge she only wanted my money and for me to be homeless.

She fought tooth and nail and is likely going to appeal it, but it won't work. 50/50 custody wasn't possible because she moved way too far away for the kids to go to school in one place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
