Idk where you’re from, but this is very true for American men, and probably for certain other nationalities. Hygiene, grooming, and style are really lacking here. My study abroad experience in France (obv very generalized): American guys: show up to class in sweats, mismatched clothes, bad haircut, can’t cook so eat unhealthy processed food, look tired, look younger than they are French guys: stylish outfits, well-groomed, other than smoking are quite healthy looking, generally look more put tog…

To the ppl who say gender equality mostly hurts men: what is your ideal world? What would gender relations look like?

Stats show that women want men close to their own age, and older men want young women but it is rarely reciprocated. In the US the average age gap is 2 years so the men are the ones who will have to “settle” for a woman closer to their own age as opposed to women “settling” for an older guy. If women were actually more attracted to older men then the average would be different.

In your comment you said it’s a “fact that men get more attractive as they age”. #notallmen are going to get more attractive as they age, only a small number of those who put in the work will out of those who don’t “waste their 20s”. “Literally nobody says this” simply scrolling through the other comments here would prove you wrong, there’s many men who think aging in and of itself will make them more attractive. Women are aware that we will be less attractive as we age, misguided men are the on…

The real cope is men who think the passage of time will make them more attractive (especially physically lol) and believe that they will be able to sleep with 20s women. Unless you are an exceptionally wealthy or attractive older man you will not be able to get younger women. You will be able to get more dates with women around your same age who are ready to marry and will consider your career more than your looks. Most women want men close to their own age or a bit older, and the average age ga…

I’m not post-wall, I find this wishful thinking/revenge fantasy to be more harmful for men than women. A man who spends his 20s working out and getting promotions will definitely be more attractive in his 30s, but that’s only some guys. I think the myth that men age like fine wine hurts young men by telling them all they have to do is wait and aging will magically make them more attractive.

I don’t find crude/juvenile humor attractive, but if a guy is clever/witty it’s very attractive. Women value intelligence and confidence more than men, but there are plenty of men who value a woman who can make them laugh- in most of the healthy relationships I’ve seen the couple makes each other laugh. There are some insecure men who feel threatened by funny women or claim no women are funny, if they want to shoot themselves in the foot that’s fine by me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
