I agree. Maybe they find it less flattering but it’s a bit hypocritical to use the first and I think the second, aside from a more realistic depiction makes whatever their message seem a lot more genuine. I'd assume it's that they're getting desperate for soldiers, much like the nazi regime who ended up having nothing more than boys and old men by the end. There should definitely be some repercussions. If I was that dude I'd press charges if I could. She can sit her ass in public jail for a day or two for her hearing and hopefully get some sort of light sentience like community service. She needs to know it's not ok to treat others like this. Likely not sending you to prison for that... maybe with a history or she's a felon in probation or something otherwise no judge is handing down prison for this. She absolutely should have charges pressed and possibly serve jail time with probation/community service but going to prison is over the top. Except you're really not. When you have sex you're agreeing to the risks and outcomes of those risks. As a man one of those risks is that if a woman becomes pregnant with your child you have less power of the situation. Is that "fair"? No, but men and women have different kinds of bodies and splitting things exactly down the middle 50/50 isn't possible. If he does not want to get someone pregnant he should take the steps necessary to avoid it just like a woman is expected to do if she does not want to get pregnant. If you don't want a child to the extent that you will refuse to step forward (as a man or a woman) and care for it after it's born you should have prevented it's conception or birth to begin with.
