Here boys out perform girls in competetive exams. Take any of them. NEET, GRE, GMAT, CLAT, LSAT, IIT JEE. Like I said this is an issue specific to first world countries... I've said this. But at the same time the reason that so much priority was given to girls in education was that for the longest time they weren't even allowed to enter certain fields of study or work and then to bring about equality à lot of focus was given to education and women/girls in it.
