I just recently got out of a two year relationship, she was my first everything. She left me when I went to basic training. I thought she was my forever. It hurts like hell because I have no idea what I did wrong, I took her on dates at least once a week (if not more), I would spoil her with gifts, buy her snacks on her period, we had sex often. I don't when or how or why she fell out of love with me but it hurts knowing I put everything into our relationship and it still wasn't enough.

I never understood this complaint. "They catcall me!" Every dude i know would take a compliment ABOUT anything. Someone's says "hey nice ears!" I would be like "um thanks?" But i would NEVER get upset over a compliment.

Yeah thats the problem though all us guys are like "I know it's wasn't a "BIG" deal" but think if you did that to a girl and she reported how much trouble would that have got you in? Sometime those "small" acts can ruin a man's whole career and life. I don't think women are assaulted MORE I just think they complain about it more and are more "validated" to tell they're stories. Whereas men are told its impossible for it to happen to them so most of them don't speak up. There is a saying "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" so even though that wheel might not be the most broken it still gets oil simply because it makes the most noise.
