| 1 | First post some questionsIn North Carolina the divorce would involve joint assets. If the deed to the house is in your name only, refinancing does nothing to change that unless you filed with register of deeds to have her added. As another pointed out, she MIGHT try to claim part of any appreciation after the refinance but that would be all but if she hasn’t paid anything into the house she has no vested interest in the house.
