You should lead, protect, be chivalrous yes but at the same time men should make them "feel" independent, otherwise patriarchy, mansplaining, oppression and whatnot.

I have no issues with a women not playing games and acting fast. My only qualm would be that both parties shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. The guy/man had to have seen some red flags am I right? And the girl/women should have know from the start he is not the right guy, what was she thinking?

Getting men to talk about their feelings isn't going to cut it methinks. We need to talk about root causes, and those conversations are very taboo/triggering for 'others', which is part of the reason men don't open up. It reminds me of the issue of declining birth rates, discussions always get bogged down on silly diversions like young people are too selfish and lazy nowadays.

Women blame men and men blame women, like a gender war where building/having a loving relationship is hard. The difference is that most women still have sex and men a lot less. The top 10% of men with the highest sexual marketplace value (chads?) probably have a good time.

yeah but asking a woman what she will be bring to table is being an sexist abusive male. nowadays women earn money too so the courts should remove this bias against men that makes them pay through the nose for a divorce

49M and my past experiences and bad choices in women surely colour my opinion but whenever I meet a woman I immediately ask myself what issues she has and if she is looking for someone to 'rescue' her, and if she has an expectation that I should be willing to ease her financial burden somehow, bcs that is her view on a relationship. Probably being to paranoid, who knows.

I agree, however it does increase the risk for the man considerably. For myself I know I have no access to attractive, high quality women so I prefer to remain unmarried and childfree. If you start at a disadvantage I prefer not to play.

Why any man, old or young, willingly would get married nowadays, I am sure I don't know. In the United States, there were approximately 2.36 million marriages in 2023, a slight increase from the 2.32 million in 2022.
