It's not about always putting others first. But, putting others first when you have an opportunity, that makes sense. Knowing when to, and how to say no is where people fail. But you'll find that if you're often found helping others, the moments when you do have to say no are no big deal. It has worked out well in my life. Yeah, there's a correlation there with high partner count and high divorce rates. I have a shit voice. The top reply to you by beerthrowaway is dead on. Increase projection, but not volume. Yelling makes you sound like a frat boy. One thing no one mentioned is to slow your speaking. When you talk slower your voice deepens, it also comes across more as more confident. Very Similar thing happened to a friend of mine. His girl started having an affair with 4th line NHLer while he was the Captain of his WHL team.
