Nah fam. I like things to be balanced. If she's just taking from me and not giving back, I don't want her

They are definitely playing power games. And unfortunately, some of the most attractive women are the worst at this. My target market is successful, college educated women. These women appreciate and value what I bring to the table. My rules won't be an issue for them. Now, I'd be wasting my time with an attractive woman with a high school education, though. Their horizons are so narrow, narcissism so high, that they can't perceive my value correctly. They literally are looking for sponsors.

To each its own. If you fully commit (especially marriage) to a woman without understanding your sexual compatibility beforehand then you aren't doing your due diligence.

Are you slow? Lol. How in the world did you get custody hearing from my dating etiquette guide for men? You sound like someone who routinely gets taken advantage of, but to each its own, my friend. When they declare they are celibate, they are doing so in a general sense (on their dating app profile) and that's so they can screen for "provider" guys like you who don't expect anything in return for your time/$/effort. I've never had a woman target me for celibacy and I'm pretty sure that isn't wh…

If I add "consent for kiss" in the rules, it would be worded as follows: If she needs verbal consent before a kiss, then drop her ass lol. I get your intent here (it's well meaning) but if we're managing behavior to that level of detail, then I don't want her around. Big red flag for me.

Self defeating. Guys who lack the self respect to have high standards are the reason we -- men, as a collective -- cannot get a better deal in negotiations in dating. Too desperate, no discipline. You can get all you described AND more with better looking women if men banded together and rejected the current, shitty dating market.
/r/seduction25/06/26 11:44 PM
1

That logic is flawed. You're devaluing yourself by settling for less. Gotta invest in inner game - detachment, self care, etc
/r/seduction25/06/26 11:35 PM
1

Because you're devaluing yourself, and you're giving women everywhere the upper hand in dating negotiations. Let's say, for example, you're a 8, and your standard is 7 and up. If you get frustrated because you can't find 7s and up, and you drop your standards to 5-6s, then now, you're giving 5-6s access to an 8-level guy. If men at all levels do this then it becomes a race to the bottom with the guys at the lower tier being completely shut out of the dating market.
/r/seduction25/06/26 11:32 PM
1

You can't get the 4-5s because the dudes "above you" have dropped their standards & now they are fucking the 4-5s that would've been available to you. Fellas gotta have more self-pride than this. Gotta form a strategic alliance. Continue becoming the best version of yourself and do NOT go below your standards.
/r/seduction25/06/26 11:26 PM
4

Nah bra, you gotta do the opposite. I get it, if you drop your standards "in the moment", you might get laid, but the problem with that is that it erodes your self esteem because the quality of women you're actually fucking is lower than what you told yourself you can fuck. Plus, you're making competition worse for everyone else. If you lower your standards, then the dudes below you have to lower theirs, too, to get laid, & so on, so forth, until it's a race to the bottom. The ONLY way out of th…

This was the year of cutting off women who weren't giving me what I needed. If she was below standards looks wise and wasn't making up for via requested threesomes or some other factor, I cut her ass off cold. Life is too short, I've worked too hard, and invested too much time to be the best version of myself to be fucking women I'm barely attracted to. I'd rather he completely alone and watch porn. And tbh, people like me...like US...were a part of the problem. As long as we keep fucking 4-5-6s…

Yawn. Anyone else don't want to hear a fucking woman opine about "masculinity" or the affairs of men? There was nothing wrong with masculinity as a concept in the first place. Sure, there are bad men. That doesn't mean masculinity in general is "bad" or toxic. That messaging is being pushed by a chorus of squawking feminists and lesbians that are seeking power at the expense of men.

Invited this girl out to a winery for drinks and then we went to a lounge afterwards. Not ONCE did she remove her wallet to offer to pay the shared expenses. We're in a public space so I didn't make a scene about it, but I note it and basically write her off. Listen, I don't give a fuck who invited who. The invite has to happen or the hangout doesn't happen. If I'm out with you, & you don't offer to pay anything, you are a TAKER, period. You lack the necessary social skills for true partnership.…

I see your point. Because you don't perceive men encouraging other men to address the issues, you believe they don't care. I'd counter that men do encourage other men to address issues if/when it is brought to their attention. But this vulnerability is reserved for a select group of their friends, if anyone at all. Generally speaking, men aren't cooperative with other men unless there's a common goal. Being vulnerable is seen as weakness. But men are increasingly caring about the issues because …

Don't think of it in terms of rights, think of it in terms of issues. Once you frame it that way, there are numerous issues dogging men that have a systemic, social undercurrent: suicide rates, drop-out rates, college attendance rates, lack of third spaces, etc

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 03:40 PM

OP, you are a narcissist. You are not viewing your partner as a fellow human with desires independent of your own. In your mind, the moment you have declined a proposal, that conversation is permanently over. That's ridiculous. That's not how negotiations work. That's not how compromise works. I think you have forgotten what it means to be disrespectful so I've included a definition: "Disrespectful describes behavior, speech, or attitudes that are rude, impolite, or show a lack of esteem and cou…

OP, who are you to say what a "good" man is? Debate Point 1:" If a man is trying to pressure you to have sex with him sooner (pushing boundaries) he isn't respecting you or your comfort." Rebuttal 1: People freely associate with each other from the position of self-interest, whatever that interest is. The woman who conditions going on dates with men based on whether a guy pays for it, isn't a bad woman based off that fact alone. Similarly, a guy who is exploring your sexual boundaries by seeking…

My friend, defending all men as if they're some sort of scourge is a weak position. Your very defense gives credibility to the claim. No, it's the right post. You posted in a comment: "...passport bros will say "I'm just looking for a woman who isn't as nasty as western women" instead of admitting "I want a woman who's trained to be submissive by actual patriarchies and/or will do anything for my money, like fucking me". If "she's using me for my resources" was NOT a real problem then why don't you, woman, pay for dates? And geez, stfu about the patriarchy already. I promise you there's no "bro conspiracy" to hold you down. Women have agency. You co-opted the society you live in. It wasn't forced on you by gunpoint.

Dude, I'm not sure how you do it. I understand your logic... But geez. Even when I go out with a woman I'm lukewarm about, it makes me sick to my stomach during the date. I'm repulsed by it. And if I see a guy on a date with a chick that I'm actually attracted to then that will make me disgusted with myself. Such a waste of time, money, effort, etc. I've worked entirely too hard, and have invested so much into myself to be going on dates with unattractive women.

It's my lived experience friend. My entire career we were managed by diversity metrics that required us to have a certain percentage of women in our "high earning positions". I'm sure you can find sources online. I'm federal so I am sure this was going on in private industry, too.

Yep. I'm a CPA & I work for a research and development company. We actively recruit women for the sake of having women scientists and engineers. The majority of my department (I'm the CFO) is women. I recognized very early in my career that the playing field was not level.

Job quotas. Reserving a certain amount of positions for women. They've been around my entire career. Job quotas and preferential treatment to women OVER men is oppression for men. The lampooning of men via media over the same time IS oppression for men. I can go on... Men were never given a "leg up" in the job market. We simply had to compete. And yes, women became our competitors and we were too slow to see them as such.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/26 01:29 PM

What exasperated matters in dating is that when women entered the workforce in mass in the 1970s. Competitive forces changed in a profound way that guys were slow to respond to. Women entering the workforce meant that guys were no longer competing against other guys for job opportunities; guys were now also competing against women, and these women were increasingly getting privileged access to prime jobs via quotas. Making matters worse, a combination of H1-B lotteries & illegal immigration brou…

Thought policing is a real phenomenon. What's needed in this era of hyper-divisiveness is moderation. But if you put you're a moderate or apolitical on your dating profile, you're assumed to be scum of the earth. That's a power move. Trying to browbeat men into thought compliance via the vagina. Class and ethnicity is not a hard boundary for dating. People will negotiate these things if there's a shortage of suitable partners who meet their criteria. H1B holders make good money. They just are willing to do the job for less pay than Americans. Regardless, no prime aged man is working for the sake of paying for necessities and sending money "back home". That would be a miserable life. They certainly make room in the budget to date.

Aside from this, you know what's really influencing standards? I offer this opinion, apolitically btw. There are too many prime age men relative to women in the US. Our immigration policies contributed to this imbalance. H1-B visa holders are mostly men (look it up). Some bring wives, but most do not. Border crossers looking for work are also mostly men (look it up). These men don't just come to work in the US...they also compete in the dating market. They want to find companions, too. I don't h…

SIMP = someone who is getting taken advantage of in a relationship. Simps, imo, are people with low self worth and/or social skills to navigate healthy relationships. The reason people do NOT like SIMPs is because it is inherently dishonest/manipulative to the receiver, sending false signals to their ego. No one "deserves the world" simply for existing. The SIMPs manipulation, left unchecked, creates toxic dating dynamics.

Huh? Are the kids being home schooled? If not (most likely), then why is the spouse sacrificing 18 years of their career to rear children? Once the kids are in school during normal business hours, that spouse can/should be in the real world earning a living like everyone else!!

Important to note that men are not a monolith. I agree with OP that (some) men marry for regular access to sex. But to balance the perspective, I'll add that they're also men who avoid marriage and even long term relationships because that regular access too sex becomes boring, too familiar, scripted, & feels like work.

The macro problem here in the US is that there are too many prime age men relative to the pool to prime age women. Now, local dating markets vary in terms of ratios of men to women with the Bay area experiencing a total sausage fest while NYC & DMV are swimming in women. But in general, there are too many prime aged men in the US. Why are there too many men? At birth, on average, there are more male births than females. There hasn't been a major war in a long time. Prison reform gave people more…

30s is young man. You're only 10 or so years in what could be a 50+ year adulthood if you live to 80s. You should be after women in their 20s & early 30s. Giving your finite attention, energy, and resources to older women is playing the game wrong lol
/r/seduction17/12/25 05:02 AM

As you get older, your age bracket will naturally get older... My unsolicited advice: don't waste your youth chasing older women. NOTHING beats the experience of a tight, supple, nubile woman.

This campaign will only further alienate men from women. People hate unfairness. Asking your average guy (who probably hasn't gotten laid in years, if ever) to confront other guys (risking physical violence against himself) for some narcissistic woman who both hates and uses men is the dumbest policy proposal I've seen in a long time. I live in the US. It's bad here, but not that bad.

I've never heard of that but I'd actually argue the opposite in today's world where women are upwardly mobile, educated, and have their own income. It's no longer a flex to have a guy pay for a date. Think about it intuitively, if the guy pays for the date, then that implies he is "less valuable than her" and is paying to make up the difference. An extreme example of this are pay pig guys who pay for onlyfans content. These guys are LOSERS. So if she had a guy pay for her date, she'd be just lik…

I wouldn't discredit online advocacy. I would suggest extending it to social media. What I mean is, if you see misandry or double standards on Facebook, IG, etc, use your online voice to combat it. Social media is a community and people gauge what is/is not socially acceptable in part from that community.

It's refreshing to see balanced reporting from a student-run newspaper. Recently, people where in an uproar because they thought the Indiana Daily Student (newspaper for IU) was being censored. The reality was the newspaper was ultra-liberal and biased against men and more conservative voices. When a newspaper loses its neutrality, it becomes a propaganda machine imo.

You have a scripted way of thinking. Why, in your scenario, is it the guy with a 7 figure bank account paying for a woman? Why can't that script be reversed? What natural law dictates that a man should pay for a woman to go on a date? We don't live in the 1600s anymore. You need to re-examine the long held scripts you have in your head about who pays and why. Examine the underlying causes...not just because it's tradition or routine. At any rate, thank you for your attention. I've said enough on…

I don't understand your point so I'll clarify mine with a real example: I invited a woman to my apartment pool for a swim and BBQ. Told her I was getting the meat & BBQing and I asked her to grab sides and drinks. She agreed. It's that simple. And once she got there, she internalized the cooperation because she began helping me with BBQ tasks (taking grilled meat back inside my place, throwing trash away, etc). That's how life works man. Attraction is where desirability and inaccessbility meet. My guess is that she lost Attraction because you were too needy/accessible. Not trying to insult you, just fancying a guess. I suggest you do two things: Boost your desirability and become less accessible. This may or may not "win her back"... and that's ok. Your goal shouldn't be to win her back because even if you are successful it will be short term and it will come at the price of you losing more Attraction. To boost desirability -- g…

Absolutely not. You (me, all of us) teach people how to treat us. If you pay for everything, then you are teaching them that you value them so much that you are willing to pay for their time. Which also unintentionally subcommunicates that your time and presence is less valuable. From the very beginning, you must "train" the person you are dating to cooperate and reciprocate. They will value you more as a result and it should contribute to a healthy relationship dynamic. Otherwise, you might end…

My friend, I understand your point of view. You're attempting to align your dating strategy to what "women want". Understandable. What I'm suggesting is that you ignore that tired script and you decide for yourself what you will offer based on what's being offered to you. Let's assume you opened every door for your woman...car door, building doors, etc. And, let's assume that you wore a driver's hat and a suit while doing so. To outsiders, you would look totally subservient...like her chauffeur.…

Valid point friend. I'll answer your question with a question: since when did being a chauffeur become equated with good manners? Does she open your car door? If so, why not? Pregnancy is different. We aren't talking about situations involving pregnancy or the elderly or people otherwise disadvantaged physically. We are talking about able-bodied women doing stuff for themselves and for others. The script of being a polite tool for a woman's use ("manners") is so ingrained in people's heads, so i…

Are you her chauffeur? Opening a door to a building is "ok" but only as a courtesy to all people, gender agnostic. Routinely opening a car door for one person, in this case, your woman, is subservient. You should reserve that level of service for women who are providing you with an exceptional amount of service in return, or not at all. Plus, whenever you do something for her like that you are robbing her of her agency.

A few possibilities: 1. To reclaim his freedom & options. If the relationship dynamic is too restrictive, then that's a turn off for some guys. The relationship tempo was too much for him...he needed more space & didn't want to directly ask for it. Sex was mid/boring. Vanilla sex has diminishing returns...ESPECIALLY if the guy has had alot of sex. Sex doesnt produce the same dopamine hits. So he needs variety to satisfy that craving. I'm here for the debits and credits, and "writing off" hoes that don't add tangible value or only have depreciated assets 🤣😇 In all seriousness, guys are viewing dating as exchanges because that's what they are...no matter how you slice it. & more power to guys who are careful about how they spend their time, money, and energy!

If you're not contributing to the date, you're out of here lol For sure. Caspering your ass haha. Woman A isn't glad that I dumped her...Woman A - her words, not mine - "loves me" and I could probably re-enter her life today if I wanted. Not to brag, but because I am intentional about adding value to people I date...& let's just say, she really enjoyed that value😉

If you want to be with me, but you want some side action, we can talk openly about it OR you can satisfy that itch privately and don't bring anything back to me, medically or reputationally. I am not a possession person. & I realize that some people will struggle with permanent exclusivity

It was kind of a joke, but let me clarify...if you have mentioned to someone that your sexual needs aren't being met, and they don't remedy it, then they shouldn't be surprised if they get cheated on or dumped. It's emotionally immature for them to expect someone to be ok with not getting their needs met.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 08:49 PM
-5

I think youre interpreting my 1:1 comment too literally. No one will be jotting contributions down on a scoreboard, agree, but people do internally keep track of social exchanges. Breaking a promise one time isn't a pattern of behavior that warrants calling someone a betrayer. That goes for business or social. People evaluate others based on their "body of work"...if you honor promises 95% of the time or more, you're probably good.

I used hallpasses and threesomes as an example... That's what works for ME lol. Some men may want different things. But for me, exclusivity is super costly. It feels like I've lost psychological air to breathe. I tell women I date that I operate more like a cat than a dog. Meaning, dogs, you can put leashes on to constrain their movements. Cats will rebel against leashes BUT will definitely stick around if they are getting their needs met. Believe it or not, I'm a controlled guy...I don't just s…

I like the attempt to summarize but not quite. My take is: if you want to keep whatever relationship type you have going (could be anytime: monogamous, poly, open, etc), you should pay attention to the value exchanges. Specifically, make sure you are adding value that's wanted, and, demand value in return. Lastly, if the people or terms of the relationship change, you might need to change your value contribution.

It's not 1:1 all the time...but it should be 1:1 on average, over time, in my opinion. Who determines what is a failure of character for anyone? Let's use an example...comparing committed relationships to apartment leases. Let's say you signed an apt lease promising to rent an apt for 1 year... 3 months into this lease, you find a better deal, and decide to renege on your promise, move into a new apt, and break the lease. Of course, there will be consequences for this, but you accept them in pur…

Why are there no valid reasons to cheat? You should reconsider your position. I can name many. One obvious one is that I just want to. Speaking from experience, anytime there was an imbalance in dating contributions, once I had sex with her, I ghosted her. After having sex with a woman twice, the novelty is gone. The days of trading power/status for beauty are OVER. If you are a high power, high status guy, then dating a lower power, lower status woman is a high-risk, asymmetrical bet that isn't in your favor. Example: The guy who reaches the top of his org chart decides to date the office intern. For her, it's a great bet! She gets privileged access to the boss, immediate influence, and she has leverage against him should things not pan out as she hoped. For the boss, all he gets is some tail from an un…

To each its own, but I disagree. You shouldn't give anyone a monopoly over your sex drive. Sex releases endorphins that can create chemical dependencies and addiction, similar to substance use. The difference is that you have no control over the source of your addiction -- sex with your partner. From a self-preservation perspective, you should have other sources (potential or active) of sexual releases to reduce your sexual dependency on one person. I know guys that have been completely devastat…

Exactly. And people are confusing correlation with causation. You can't make a claim that X causes Y without ruling out anything else that might be causing Y.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 08:18 PM
1

Your point misses my point. You can't say something exists -- in this case, causation a la "gender is creating a pay gap" -- without controlling for factors that offer alternative explanations for the existence of the said thing. That's basic statistical analysis my friend. And so, after isolating gender and removing all other plausible explanations for the pay gap, it's been determined that there is no pay gap. Class dismissed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 08:15 PM
0

I'm not sure I understand your point, my friend. But I recommend that you do a quick Google search of gender pay gap...there are multiple, non-partisan, reputable sources that have debunked that myth. We can cherry-pick data to present any slant we want...and once that data point is out, it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle. For example, where's the uproar about the short-men pay gap? Or, where's the research into the salary differences between fat and fit people? Etc etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 04:00 PM

What gender pay gap? After accounting for differences in education, experience, career choice, etc, I'm pretty sure economists have shown that there is no gender pay gap. It's been debunked time and again.

In the hetero dating sphere, unattractive women get offers for sex (not relationships), are pumped and dumped, have a harder time finding a mate, and are not competitive for the most desirable mates because few men want an unattractive woman. If you want to proceed, there must be a negative stimulus to her pullback. Otherwise, it will be easy for her to do it again. Great comments so far everyone. I appreciate the differing perspectives. That said, I want to clarify something... I don't believe you can without unintentionally screening out good candidates. Besides, players can be converted from short term to long term relationship partners. Withholding sex is probably the worst advice to give to a woman. Let's say the advice receiver follows it a la "I'm celibate until marriage" then she's going to lose alot of high quality men because they won't accept those terms...they want to try before they buy. No. I wouldn't date her for the same reason I wouldn't actively seek out a mediocre restaurant or a mediocre bar. Life is short and time is precious....I've worked entirely too hard to spend my precious free time and resources on a mediocre woman. But to each its own.

My advice: Do not do dinner 1st dates unless she is incredibly warm and sweet to you and you like your odds of taking her home that night. I expect my women to contribute, period. It may not be the first date, but at some point she will contribute paying for stuff or I cut her off. The only dependent I have is my child. As the guy, you are already adding value by planning and coordinating the date. Being expected to pay the bill as well is unfair.

It's rational for women to be picky...& yes, I think it's gotten more extreme. Men's response to the pickiness is irrational though. Alot of the women I see my guy friends go crazy over look like shi…

I don't disagree... To each its own. At a certain point of female ugliness, I'd rather have sex with a doll, my hand, or just become a voluntary celibate 😂

It's probably already been said in one of the 400+ replies you received but I'd say it boils down to this: Theoretically, settling is bad and women should not lower their standards. Practically speaking though, women are competing against other women for men who have their own standards. So if a woman's standards are too high, she's not competing effectively in the dating market and lowers her chances of finding a pair match. Best summarized via this quip: "You can have anything you want but you…

Men also care about what their guy friends and colleagues think about the woman they are dating. Sure, they'll have sex with Butterface but will hit an about face when it comes to being seen with her in public 😂

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
