How cute the girls play... let's give them their own little tournament because they couldn't make it to the real tournament on a level playing field. If I'm a progressive woman I'm pissed they pander to my gender. I mean really... how can any decent female gamer not get heated over this.

I want to go to this place, get wasted and have a good laugh.

YOU FORGOT YOUR SWEATER MEGAN! I typically frown upon calling it "toxic masculinity" but somebody has to do it... and I'm cool with it being Jordan.

Going a weird direction with this one... if I'm naked and outside... it's more of a reward than a punishment.

"She's the exception not the rule" this sums up the mentality right there. Guilty until proven innocent.

I'd have a lawn chair, cooler, and sign saying "bring it" on that corner. Don't start no shit won't be no shit.

Turn in the essay as is. Don't change a thing. If she gives you a zero so be it. Submit a copy of the paper and your assignment to the principal. Say "I don't want to file a complaint I just want it to be know I did the assignment as asked and received a 0" When confronted say "I chose to stand behind my beliefs instead of being suppressed." And let the be the end of it. There are times in my life where I've have to decide I would be confident in myself or cave to the will of others for the sake…

It's cool. It was worth it for the joke. I put on a little crocodile hunter voice and everything. She was just getting madder and madder the more I kept petting her. And at that point I was already a manipulator, emotional abuser, porn addict, marijuana addict, and I didn't stack up to her millionaire brother in law. I got priors dawg.

Ha. That part was never the issue. I meant more of legally. I figured a non-violent restraint would stand up as self defense in court. But can't be too safe. Edit: that part was never the issue in the sense that I was long past being demonized.

Question... My ex would get slap happy from time to time. But when she'd get all swingy I'd wrap her up in the lifeguard takedown that I learned and slowly put her on the ground. I would then pet her and whisper "it's ok big girl" like I was talking to a dog. That's ok right? It's not like violent or anything right?

I have nothing of use to add. I just wanted to say I feel the same way. I've learned to speak my peace in as kind of a way as possible and take the insults as a badge of honor. We were brave enough to stand despite knowing the consequences. It is a long and hard road before us and we have only just begun. Stay strong.

This one means a lot to me. That feeling is far too familiar. I refer to it as my "mask" or "camo." Specifically, it's the false front I present that conforms to norms that the real me wouldn't be able to do. A straight male in the south has strict rules as to what they are allowed to do/say. Break those rules and you will be labeled as inferior and ostracized.

I think about this a lot. I think it is really important to avoid the tactics that have been used by our counterparts. Not just in the sake of morality either. I think having concrete examples of the tactics used to demonize and discredit men will be our greatest asset in the push for equality and fair treatment. From my understanding, a male's role in feminism is to accept (and embrace) all "punishments" and "criticisms" as moral reparations for the crimes our gender has committed. Any attempt …

No. The back in forth is what's important. Not the groups involved. Human nature to categorize like things so there will always be groupings. Political movements will always need the infighting. The groups will change but never the underlying plot.

I almost believed ya with the whole "men are selfish" bit... but then I remembered I've actually met a real life female a few times and it's a complete and total lie.

If you're gonna pretend to be a dude to prove some social injustice against women I'm gonna have to ask you to repress those tears. This is America and we have gender norms. Don't half ass it.

We should be talking about how a huge moment in game of thrones was ruined by shitty writing. Really... she just happens to continue reading a book about shit, and just happens to read it out loud. And Sam just so happens to snap for the first time at this moment. All that scene needed is some of the sound effects from Seinfeld and it would've fit right in any sitcom.
