I'll try to find a link but I recall reading she got into some shit before by meddling in a custody arrangement outside the scope of the arbitration agreement people agreed to when going on her show. I wonder if this was from that episode. You dont need to do 85 pushups in a row to be able to fix my travel pay or fix my computer for me. I'm totally ok with women having different standards for most jobs in the military since most jobs in the military aren't combat. If a job requires a certain level of physical strength, then you better have it, regardless of sex

That has to do with unemployment, which is a separate issue. they cant lie about the reason they fired you to deny you benefits, but they can fire you for whatever reason.

I'm not a lawyer, but as far as I know being ugly isn't a protected class. Perhaps if you phrase it poorly it might border sexual harassment, but it's a stretch. I think Abercrombie had a lawsuit on it years ago, I forget the results. Anyway my point stands, even if my phrasing was stupid... At will employment is the norm in America.

Most of America is "at will" employment which means you can be fired at any time for any reason as long as it's not a legally protected reason. I can't fire you for being Muslim or for being black, but I can fire you for being fuck ugly or because Tuesday is random firing day...

To some extent yeah, its just that the daily mail has a worse track record than a lot of them. I didn't say anything about beeb (never even heard of it actually) or any of the other sources you are talking about... The daily mail is shit, it doesn't mean everything else isn't shit... Its never been challenged successfully federally, and lost in court in a lot of states IIRC... So basically, yeah it is legal. I think the concept was that its not harming men, just providing an incentive to women, so its not a case of discrimination... (the courts opinion, not mine)

Contracting isn't a guaranteed 6 figure job, not even close. Some can make a lot, but many don't. The contractors I worked with on my last deployment, some of them were making in the high 40s for entry level jobs. When the job market tanked they were able to lower wages since more people were willing to contract overseas...
