Best advice lmao. Or better yet going for a half marathon. Existence will literally be pain then.

Does tattoos bother you? Does single women doing single women things for a fun vacation bother you? I can't tell from your post. If these things about her bother you that much then maybe don't ask her out. But you did wait a long time to work up the opportunity to ask her, now it's here. So ask yourself and weigh your options. Personally they don't bother me. I am 27, live in a conservative country and always wanted tattoos. We don't have bars over here and visiting friends in other countries is…

Wow what a beauty. I've been looking to get back to playing again, this just gave me loads of inspiration. Enjoy my man!

Haven't been able to keep up with my creative hobbies as I would have liked to. However, focusing my energy on training for my first ever half-marathon this month. Feels like it would be a great way to celebrate my birthday.

Very true! I have to thank Billy Bitchtits and Patrice O'Neal for their pearls of wisdom. Haven't got into an internet fight since 2018 and haven't lost an irl argument since then. If you don't give them any emotional response, their anger just fizzles out. Patrice is a lifesaver for that! I also have to thank Kevin Samuels for the "give them the gift of insecurity."

Yeah it's just a sucky situation all around. Even worse when you add children.

In the subcontinent, divorce is taken by the society as a sign of failure. The cultural and social pressure to stay in a loveless marriage because of "what would people say" is very intense. Of course women come out of a divorce with the worse social stigmas (ignoring the financial gains), but men don't fare much better to be honest. It's a different culture but the struggles are the same.

Now she is going to do what she was going to do anyway but now it would be her friends telling her "live your live boo, that loser doesn't deserve you." Except, now it will give her validation to fuck around and a reason to deflect her guilt on to you. Who needs that anyway?

This just reinforces what we already know. People like Bruce will always get their way and women, despite claiming otherwise will always be drawn to these men. A powerful man who has the resources will always have the pick of the cherries. So it makes sense for men to focus on reaching that level if they want to play that game. The world is what it is, we have to accept the reality of it and use it to our advantages.

It's important to remember that none of us are special. Not you, not me. "I'm good, this won't happen to me" is a myth because we don't know the future. And we sure as hell can't influence it past a certain extent. If it's any consolation, a lot of men go through this even after living under the same roof with a woman. You were in the military, was away a lot and shit just happened. Really what more could you have done? Now that it's over, it would be a great opportunity to use that military dis…

Six months after you leave this job, none of these people will even think about you randomly. Their opinions about you as a person, therefore, holds very little value. I also struggle a lot with this but I am slowly getting better. Remember, "no" is a complete sentence. Say no like you say yes. Don't provide any explanation and get back to your job.

I have recently figured out the answer to this. As a man who is happy being on his own, you pose a great threat to society. You are less likely to be controlled and influenced and more likely to make independent decisions that may go against what society wants from you. People also feel horrible when they see someone else living their dream. Most people go with the flow because they don't have what it takes do something radical. If they see someone who is actually happy doing something they want…

Look, the fact that power corrupts is not a secret. We know it does. It is human nature to crave power and most people who do so end up being consumed by their obsession with power. The names you mentioned are the worst example of that. However, it doesn't really change the reality that everyone operates on some level of self-preservation. It's impossible to survive in this world without protecting yourself. EVERYONE, including you and me do things that further our self-interest. Anyone who disa…

A lot of us have found real love at some point in our life. And eventually, we have also found out this much-vaunted "real love" is overrated as fuck. Most of us have been there, done that. I'm sure there have been many people like me who have thought about the possible changes we can make to never end up in those terrible situations ever again. And more often than not, the answer is knowing what your goals are and how to accomplish them. That is where power comes in. Let's face it. Power is lik…

My suggestion would be to find a way to let your frustration out regarding this situation without being public or vocal about it. The last group of people I made friends with at uni are very liberal and progressive. And a lot of them are vocal feminists. I'm a bit of a cynic so these taglines get me very frustrated. When I see a woman trying to be sassy sharing a feminist meme or a twitter screencap, I do feel a bit of annoyance. I mean, come on! Isn't this shtick getting too old? But then I rem…

Man I have to shower after reading this post. I would have said that you could have set him up with a regular girlfriend but I doubt he would change his mind now. He seems to be in too deep and likely to not listen to anything you say. I say keep your distance, bide your time and decide what you want to do when he eventually comes to you for help.

I am no expert but it feels like you are too invested emotionally with the situation. If the information you need is that important for you, you would do anything necessary to obtain it. Since you chose not to, I suppose you don't believe it has that value anymore. To gain something we have to endure some hardship along the way. If you are bad at lying or pretending to like someone, just act naive and say as little as possible. I am also terrible at sugarcoating my words and get into trouble reg…

It's the same reason why refusing sex with a female will get you termed "gay." It is so unthinkable for people that some people might not like the same things that they do, that they have rationalize their shock by terming you abnormal.

If she ever looked at another man, I can't and won't deal with that. /s My first teenage gf back in my high school years was like this. I was an idiot, high off romantic bs. Thought giving her a safe, and supportive place would show her that there was more to life than asshole men. Stupid, I know. Run for the hills. She belongs to the streets. You can get better than this for a wife lol.

South Asian here. In your case, you need a strong drive towards something, anything. If you're fully invested in a project, you have an excuse to brush off any potential shaming. If anyone mentions marriage, just tell them your next goal is too important for you right now. Since you are a man, people will eventually judge you based on what you accomplish. Get rich, get independent and age will not be a barrier for you if you end up deciding to get married. I have seen people go from criticizing …

Funnily enough, when I saw this the first thought that popped into my mind was that "it almost feels like what the religions tell us." Suffer now and enjoy everlasting orgies in Never-Die-Land in the afterlife. A lovely illusion, but an illusion nevertheless.

The Bill Burr bit "No reason to hit a woman" also discusses this I think. In another bit, he just advises men to argue to the point, and consider the argument won when women start their personal attacks. Anything beyond that point has to be ignored. Best advice I have ever receieved from a comedian.

To be honest, I used to be that guy 10 years ago. So I can't really judge this guy for being this way. In my defense though, I was a naive teenager. So, at least I had an excuse. Now I am done crying, done worrying over women. Took me a while to get the simp out of my system. There's a long way to go still, but I will get there hopefully.

Sometimes you just gotta let them crash and burn. I have a friend like that in my circle. He is a genuinely nice guy but is one of the most clueless when it comes to women (and that's coming from me lol.) An example of his naivety - bailing out on an exam to go across the city to pick her up from her uni and dropping her home. He got cheated on back to back relationships and is now doing well in life after a hiatus. As for your friend's girl, she is clearly loving life. Her career is on track so…

To not take it seriously. I swipe to see how people present themselves and how their self-perception changes with age. Currently not looking for anything love-related but have had some decent conversations with some women. I make it very clear that I am not into chasing or being a horny dog at the very beginning. In my city that's quite rare, so I tend to have women lower their gurad with me. Eventually they get bored since I am not showering them with compliments like other guys. But that's oka…
