Tell your academic advisor to look at research performed by the American Association of Medical Colleges who investigated the significant number of women doctors who (1) pursue medical specialities which pay less because they offer more flexibility and fewer hours, and (2) the number who quit working entirely or go part time after only a few years of practice. Last time I checked, becoming a doctor is a fairly significant undertaking. The reality is that as people age they start to realize that …

I work in a different area of psychology and can assure you that the fields of counseling and clinical psychology are absolutely rife with modern day feminists and are some of the worst providers of mental health care you’ll find.

My son is autistic so I have some understanding of what you mean. I think it may help you to understand that when a man wants to protect you, it doesn’t mean you are helpless or that he needs to do each and every thing for you. It means he loves you and wants to help make your life easier and those he loves most safe.

Buy yourself and your boyfriend a copy of “No More Mr. Nice Guy” by Dr. Robert Glover. Read it chapter by chapter, takes notes, and discuss it with each other. I used to be your boyfriend. After 10 years of not being able to set healthy boundaries with others, I lost my dream job, my house, my wife, equal access to my son, and about $300k in assets and divorce attorney costs (and I also now pay ridiculous child support to my ex who married a millionaire). What your boyfriend is doing is not “nic…

Here’s the deal: You are 18 and shouldn’t consider marriage until you are at least in your late 20’s/early 30’s. Even then, I would argue strongly that the only benefit to marriage is if you absolutely want children. Pre-nups are designed to protect assets coming into the marriage, not to protect assets earned during the marriage. For example, let’s say that you bring $200k into the marriage and she brings $0. During a 10-year marriage you make $80k year and she makes $40k. When you divorce, all…

Yup. There is a world of difference between having a curvy or bigger body type and being comfortable with that (and healthy) vs being obese and shaming people for not accepting your health issues. If I smoked two packs a day, would Lizzo shame my “heart and lung diversity”? Can she shame me for having black lungs that don’t function well?

Thank you. So, and by extension, that would mean that feminists do not believe in due process (I.e., one is considered innocent until proven guilty). No justice system is perfect and you will always have at least some innocent people in prison and some guilty people walking the streets. If I am to treat all accused rapists as guilty until proven otherwise, then that also means I should accuse feminists as being guilty of any crime they may have committed until they can prove their innocence. Thi…

I’m trying to wrap my head around the argument that MRA’s are rape apologists. My understanding is that MRA’s are basically saying that rape obviously exists (and is horrible!), but so do false accusations. As such, evidence-based due process is important, and if someone is indeed found guilty of rape, he/she should be held accountable and punished accordingly. Is this correct or am I missing something?

If he’s had a similar income levels for many years, I’d imagine they may reduce it temporarily but then require him to make what are essentially back payments. For example, I make low six figures. If I got laid off and got a job at McDonalds, that wouldn’t be considered normal for my work history. As such, the court would most likely hold me accountable for paying back what I owed while working at McDonald’s plus interest. I did get laid off around 18 months ago and was told by the state that I …

Well, assuming the data is valid, page 60 makes it quite clear that moms are being reported for abuse at double the rate as fathers (although there is also a grouping for both parents being abusers). I think there’s a big misconception about what “MGTOW” and “MGTOW Monk” are, and that there is a solid amount of misogyny involved in the MGTOW movement in general. All too often I see posts is this sub and among the major YouTubers regarding how women are horrible and that we should never date or marry them. I can tell you what I was told when I was laid off about 18 months ago (Texas). I paid $1,440/month and was still liable for it when I was laid off. I asked the person from the state what would theoretically happen if I got a lower paying job as I didn’t want to leave this market (I wanted to stay near my son). She said that even if I got a job at McDonalds I’d have to pay $1,440/month until I could prove my new and lower income, and that this process would take about a year since the system is …

I wouldn’t agree with that. While I love a good 80’s/90’s action movie, last time I checked Thor and Wolverine were pretty ripped. Men haven’t become less masculine because Hollywood has changed. I would argue that many men are now less knowledgeable about what it means to be a man because they have fewer fathers in their lives than ever before - and we can thank the family courts for that.

You strike me as someone who, while a feminist, seems truly interested in learning more about gender dynamics and such. I would strongly encourage you to read Warren Farrell’s “The Myth of Male Power”. I would say that men (and women) are always (or at least should always be) accountable for their own behavior. In the case of men tending not to show emotion as routinely as women, I would argue that it’s because we’re shamed when we do it and shamed when we don’t. I would argue strongly that men have been, currently are, and always will be viewed as disposable by women, and frankly, other men. You are primarily a utility to women, including (and unfortunately) the woman you choose to marry. Whe…

The point of the female in the cartoon doesn’t make sense because OSHA and unions can’t prevent workplace accidents and deaths. For example, truck driving is and always has been a very dangerous job, and there have been laws in place to maximize the safety of the drivers and others sharing the road. Garbage collecting is and always will be a very dangerous job. You can’t take all risk out of jobs which are inherently dangerous. How about this: demand that unions negotiate with fire so it can be …

Because you now get to deal with the rest of your adult life living under the same societal rules as your father did. You know why I’m actually ok with this? First, because I’m tired of banging my head against a wall looking to society to actually be rational when looking at gender issues. Second, because of the complete unwillingness to take men’s considerations into account at all, pretty soon marriage will be “women only” - and I’m totally fine with that. All men are horrible and don’t deserve their “queen”? Fine. I’m a HVM - leave me the fuck alone for the rest of my life.

I’m only basing my opinion on the various women I deal with day-to-day (most of whom I would believe would self-identify as feminists). Just all of the women who constantly complain about how easy men have it, how hard they have it, and the complaining that “there are no good men out there”. So many examples of women who take zero accountability for their actions (including those outside of dating relationships) and expect a man to bail them out. It’s just exhausting.

You’re going to learn very quickly that men do not “have all the power in society”. There are a VERY small number of hyper successful men who hold the power in society and there is nothing appropriate about generalizing that same power to those who have none (I.e., your everyday man). I realize that you may not understand this yet so I’m not coming down on you; rather, I’m trying to help you see more accurately through all of the utter bullshit you may have been fed by feminists over the years.

The book “The Feminist Lie” does a terrific job breaking out the math and showing zero evidence of a rape culture and also shows how the CDC’s definition of rape has changed and softened over time. Available on Amazon (and Kindle) and it’s inexpensive. Rape does happen and it’s horrible (when I was 12 my best friend’s older sister, who was like a sister to me, was brutally raped and took her own life shortly thereafter). That does not mean, however, that there is a “rape culture”.

What source can you provide which shows that fathers do not want at least 50-50 custody (or ideally 50-50 so time is evenly split across both parents)? I would seriously like to know if your point is true and would like to examine the source of the data if it is. It is an issue of state law. Some states’ governments are more reasonable, and frankly logical, than others. I live in Texas and just recently spent over $5k for the ability to have expanded visitation of my son which I’m already entitled to by law (she even fought against that). Expanded visitation - not 50-50. My attorney said not to expect Texas to change their law for another 10-15 years.

The law does not work that way. Google which states have 50-50 custody and you’ll see how many states still don’t allow for it. After a divorce, women are awarded primary custody over 85% of the time. This is part of the patriarchy.

I think they are missing two key things with this kind of comment. First, nearly everyone ends up alone because spouses don’t typically die at the same time. Women outlive men by around seven years, so statistically they are likely to end up alone (in their end years of course). Second, there is also a disadvantage to being with someone who is hard to tolerate.
