I legit ran out to see the one that came out 20 years ago. It was unapologetically female, and I loved it. I just don't want to watch the same premise rehashed with different actresses and no Bill Murray and now I'm in my 30s.

It is kind of dated, in the way that comedy almost ALWAYS gets dated after a few years. The "that list is four things long" premise is comedically clever, but of course only describes the most superficial aspect of relationships. I want a lot more than those four things from my SO, even though it obviously rings true that those four things are things women don't always understand or want to give. I think a lot of it is still insightful. However, what has (in my opinion) developed since this spec…
