In my experience, no - women seem to love it when they meet a man who acts like man - pays for the date, takes the lead etc. A lot of women I speak to are frustrated at the lack of men in existence now who won’t step up and take charge. TLDR: Be the man! It still works

That’s a good point. I have a friend who went back to work full time (3 months post childbirth) with her husband staying at home with the baby. I do wonder of the ramifications this will have on their relationship long term.

If a man has physical capability to do so, then he should intervene when anyone is in trouble, not just women. It needs to be a considered approach though, for example does the man have his family / kids with him, and would his actions place them at risk.
