If you ask me, progress isn't just going to slow down. We are heading into full fall-of-Rome style decline.

I agree...there's this widespread apathy amongst the adult populace who all think they're highly educated but they're all astonishingly ignorant. Something's gone horribly wrong in the way we educate children over the last 70 years or so, leading to a society of adults who are both highly technologically proficient but remarkably ignorant of history, culture and morality. The net result is an almost paradoxical decline in the quality of adult human beings and thought in an era of unfettered tech…

The adverse consequences of the shut down in our economy heavily outweigh any lockdown Categorically agreed and I'd add there's no benefit to lockdowns anyway. The thing I find baffling is that the majority of the idiot politicians can't see this. It boggles my mind.

If it weren't for the pernicious ideologies pushed by left-wing nutjobs over the last 80 years, marriage and family might still be a viable option for the modern man. Not all change is progress. Telling a boy that he can be a girl, or vice versa, is dangerous idiocy and a symptom of society's failure to push back against terrible ideas that have damaging societal consequences pushed under the catch-all umbrella of equality. It's the same reasoning that led to the decline of women (and men), fami…

How to deal with bad feelings? The traditional answer is stoicism. There's a view that educating boys and girls together in mixed groups has lead to children being oblivious to traditional and classical thought, since it was generally accepted that men and women deal with problems differently. So, my answer to how to deal with feelings like this would be: a) Read good books, perhaps starting off with works on stoicism. Good books are books that were published more than 100 years ago and that are…

The problem for the media is that the internet puts information at everyone's fingertips 24/7. The only way for these relics that are the MSM to remain profitable is to be sensationalist. They don't give us objective news anymore; it's not profitable. A lot of people haven't caught on, unfortunately.

The problem is gradual decline in the quality of information. If I have experienced the nature of women, then my son is going to get hardcore training in it and he's going to know it's important. But he may not quite have the same urgency in explaining it to his son, and that will repeat into the next generation such that when you're a few generations out it has to be re-learnt the hard way. It probably also manifests from things like changing attitude to religion since Religion largely had thes…

It's times like this I really notice the difference in people who consume news and media a lot - something I make it a principle to avoid. They're in a mad panic because of what amounts to a "big bad flu" and I'm pretty convinced the main reason for it is that that all they've been reading about it for the past month from their favourite scare-mongering media outlets. The media over-sensationalises in order to sell, and this makes bad news stand out in people's mind in a big way.

Something about the reactions to this in this thread sits uneasy with me. First, I agree it's sensible to be skeptical, and I agree positive effects reported could be a placebo. I don't agree that that's enough to dismiss it all as pseudo-scientific woowoo. It might well, in fact, be woowoo, but there's certainly a plausible mechanism by which UV light could be interacting with your cells in some way to bring about changes. It's just as silly to dismiss it out of hand without evidence as it is t…

Meat has all the nutrients (both micro and macro) necessary for human health. There's some debate as to whether a diet of beef, salt and water is sustainable long term, but supplemented with some eggs and organ meats, yes it should be sustainable indefinitely. I've been on it just over a year...have more energy for exercise than I ever had before (I'm 38)...would highly recommend.

Carnivore is the redpill of diets. Somehow or other society has convinced itself that grains and vegetables are healthy and that meat is anything but...turns out the opposite is reality. Eating >1kg of red meat per day makes you manlier, and women notice it.

True... Doesn't mean that religion doesn't serve a purpose, and that sans religion that purpose, whatever it is, either goes unfulfilled or, perhaps worse, is filled by things of a similar nature that are less well developed - scientism comes to mind.

Source or bias is irrelevant if it's factual. The amount of estrogens in animal products is orders of magnitude lower than that produced by the human body on a daily basis. The amounts in soy are orders of magnitude greater. This is all you need to know to understand that your original post was irrelevant and misleading.

I'll give you a post with the details of why veganism is going to be a bad idea for most people. If people still want to be vegan inspite of all this, then I wish them all the best and just say: if they find themselves feeling depressed or with a myriad health issues a few years down the road: eat some steak. Deficiencies and health complications on veg*an diets Vitamin B12: Level of serum vitamin B12 is "always low in vegans". [1] Vegans have low HDL, elevated homocysteine and lipoprotein(a) le…

You need to learn how to think critically about things purporting to be science, particularly in the field of nutrition where there is little to no actual science involved in these reccomendations whatsoever. There's a huge amount of propaganda out there about the healthfulness of the vegan diet. I've met people who genuinely believe that it's the healthiest diet for humans...it's absolutely absurd given that about 80% of the people who try it are eating meat again within a few years, most citing catastrophic health failure as a reason...but propaganda gonna propaganda.

They're radically different, unfortunately. For an egg to be nutritious the mother has to get the nutrients for those eggs from its diet, and the mother's general health and wellbeing from lifestyle plays a part as well. 3 high quality eggs will probably feed your body more than 6 cheap ones in all respects except for calories...which isn't that surprising since you get what you pay for.

Not OP but have suffered some joint issues in the past. Full blown carnivore diet fixed me right up. Takes a little adaptation though...I think anyone considering it would be best going keto first, since the transition from a normal diet to Keto is plenty difficult enough (look up keto flu), and carnivore is another step again.

I think you're wrong. We're attracted to healthy looking, young women because they're the ones best suited to carry and raise a strong, healthy child. What a healthy woman looks like is built in and considered "sexy". The further you are from that norm, the less attractive you are. And fat chicks are only in the same ballpark by virtue of their flabbiness penetrating the grandstand.

Yes it's an attrocious thing for women to sleep around. First, from an evolutionary point of view the correct strategy for a female is to find a male who will stay with her to raise the child. If she fails, she will be forced to raise offspring by herself. This is bad for her and the child and she should be judged for it. This is specifically only true for women - it is not bad strategy for a man to sleep with as many women as possible, working on the assumption hat he can father enough offsprin…

This man has three possible futures. In one, he gets a high-paying job of some sort and some post-wall chick grabs him by the coat tails. Children and divorce-rape await. In the second, he wears a fedora. In the third he finds this sub or something similar and starts manning the hell-up. One of the principles of stoicism is to understand that wanting something in the belief that you'll be happy is an illusion...happiness isn't important, contentment is. And the only way to achieve contentment is to learn to want for nothing. One of the things I hope to achieve this year is to end the year with fewer things than I started it. I have a lot of unnecessary things, most of which were bought in more consumerist orientated days, and which generally just take up time to clean and mainta…

By most definitions I am an atheist...most people would be satisfied with the definition of atheist as being someone who does not believe in the supernatural or any kind of divine intervention. That might be a fairly modern definition (circa last few hundred years) but it seems right. If atheism required an absolute rejection of all religious narratives as worthless in their totality, then I wouldn't be an atheist.

Ignorant religious people think something like "the bible is literally true and that's all I need to know". Or put another way - the young men of today need to grow up. Of course, it's the parents job to help children do that and most parents have been failing at this for a long time. When our young men aren't mentally maturing into manhood until their 30s, it's too late to correct for the behaviour of the women of that age becasue the relevant ones are already passed their prime. Men tend to outearn women over the course of their careers. That's true. Reasons include fewer career breaks and a preparedness to accept high-stress high-responsibility positions, as well as more dangerous positions, which naturally pay more. There is a view that human beings have to oversimplify things in order to convince themselves they understand the world. The more you simplify something, the more things it can (inaccurately) explain and the more you can convince yourself that your world view is superior to any others. The death of religion, which fulfilled this need for countless generations, gives rise to a need to replace it with other ironically less well-developed ideologies, of which scientism is one. If you want to LTR a girl, you cuddle her after sex even if the house is burning down. If you want to plate a girl, you pump and instantly go to sleep. Simple, but incredibly effective (unless the girl has had a lot of previous men, in which case, don't even think about an LTR - it won't work).

That subforum is absolute cancer. All the de rigeur comments think that all that matters in the world is how the woman feels. Good hard working man...kids...decent lifestyle and generally friendly with partner. Doesn't matter if she's feeling a bit off. Divorce time. The people who populate that subforum are my personal exact definition of the last people on Earth I'd ever want to date.

Nobody tells them when they're 21 that they won't have it that easy all their lives. Most older women either don't talk to younger girls about it or flat out encourage promiscuity. Lord only knows why, but they usually end up bitter about it.

In October 2006, Reid acknowledged in an interview with Us Weekly that she had liposculpting.[19] In the interview, she discusses how her plastic surgery "went wrong" and also explains why she decided to have plastic surgery done, saying that her breasts were uneven and that she wanted a "six pack" for a new movie role. The liposuction resulted in deformity. In the same interview, Reid's new plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Svehlak, reported that he performed a procedure called a "doughnut mastopexy"…

Spot on. Wealthy women won't marry down the economic totem pole; wealthy men will. That is a significant part of the reason for declining marriage rates. And it seems that promiscuity in women leads to them really struggling to stick to a commitment to one partner later in life - less so for men. Meanwhile we're telling everyone to focus on career early and worry about family later - which basically means: Girls: sleep around until you're 30, panic, marry some chump for a few years until you've …

On some level, probably just trying to continue the feminization of modern men. One thing I really do think is that boys need some kind of initiation ritual to mark the transition into adulthood. A week of hunting or camping or something like that. If you encroach on that, the boys probably grow into more feminine men.

It goes something like this: Women's sexual strategy, in game theory terms, is best served by (a) having her offspring have the genes of the strongest, most capable male and (b) having someone help raise said offspring [Since women give birth they're at the disadvantage of being the ones who will end up caring for the baby no matter what - this is one of the few advantages men really do have in the mating game]. The thing is, if you are a male who fits into category (a) above then your best sexu…

They're tough reads - I find I have to read every sentence several times to get a feel for what's being said. That said, what's brilliant about this is when it was written. That "Equity" as a doctrine is pathological to the core only became apparent with the radical failure of communist regimes in the twentieth century. Nietzsche saw it all coming.

WE have broadly similar stories, though mine is from much longer ago. If I had an anger phase, I passed it...I suspect you will too. I'll just say a couple of things. First: People are fond of saying happiness comes from within. I couldn’t disagree more. Screw happiness. Happiness is nice when you have it but it's fleeting: it absolutely won;t last no matter how good you have it. Lottery winners are no happier a year later; wealth has no measurable impact on happiness once you're past a certain …

I don't think you can equate a lack of meaning in life with boredom. If someone's bored they can go to the cinema...that doesn't suddenly make their life more meaningful. The argument goes that family does that. It's all well and good having decided to MGTOW and not have children, equally I would consider it extremely bad for you to oversimplify the reasons people have children in order to justify a lifestyle. I don't think it's a decision to be brushed aside as if it's trivial or obvious.

Not true - that one answers the question. But to put it in words: Children give your life a meaning; they give you something to do for at least 20 years. That may or may not be enough for you.

There's little doubt about this. Jordan Peterson's made the point that most political stances are determined by personality traits but that tendency to be politically correct is predicted by being female even after correcting for personality traits. There's something incredibly uncomfortable about the dominant societal narrative of the moment - that feminine virtues are superior in every way, but that the masculine lifestyle is the way to go. Well yeah, the sex marketplace is harsh both ways. Women want fit men or men who earn tons of money. Men want young attractive women. It's harsh on men because we actually have to bloody well work to get any. It's harsh on women because if they're not setteld down by the time they're 40, well that ship has sailed.

I would sincerely like to try it to find out. I am of the view that modern technology, far from making us happier, makes us far more miserable. TV, computers and the internet absolutely included. Who decides which minority groups are under-represented and which ones aren't? Do these people not realise that there are an infinite amount of minority groups and you'll never have a company achieve proportional representation of all groups....nor is it in anyway desirous to do so. There's a TED talk on a similar subject... I can't remember the exact ins and outs but it's something along the lines of: Mathematically speaking, a woman's best chance of finding an optimal partner is to play the field until she's 25 when she should opt to settle with the first person she meets who's better than anyone she met before the age of 25".

It's actually horrible for the women. I'm 35 and trained as a lawyer (left that racket to go off on my own, but that's an aside)...consequently I know a lot of succesful female solicitors/barristers in their 30s. And the ones who are still at it are mainly single and various degrees of depressed about their lives. Women in their 30s want kids...need kids. But when they're 18 they don't realise that that's what they'll want. So they go off, make their careers the centre of their world, make thems…

Love is the same way. It is human to love, and love is a source of beauty and joy. My main criticism of TRP theory is that it sometimes rejects features of the human experience as a strategy to avoid pain. I'd agree with that as being the trap a lot of the guys on here seem to fall into. They start recognizing female biology but fail to recognize their own...we are programmed to love women and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. TRP can be used as a tool to help that emotion and relation…

The most useful thing about the MBTI is the sensing/intuitive distinction. Sensors and intuitives don't tend to get along very well in anything but the most superficial way. As a hefty intuitive, sensors bore me to tears in conversation. So the most redpill use of the MBTI for me is to just make sure I go full N on any new girl I'm talking to, as it lets me easily tell if the girl can keep up with my N-ness. One answer is that drawing, writing and meditating do not make other things seem tame in comparison. If someone spends a lot of time drawing, that has no impact on whether or not that person enjoys writing. By contrast, spend a lot of time video gaming, and you will find activities like writing or learning to play an isntrument or whatever else positively tame in comparison. Video games and television are designed that way - it's designed to be as pleasurable as possible. Spend a lot of time on …

The Chimp Paradox is a good book that explains the phenomenon quite well. The theme is that everyone's brain is made up of three distinct parts, and the part that's lazy and emotional is referred to as the "chimp"...the book suggests ways of talking to yourself/other techniques to help "tame that chimp" and progress with doing whatever it is you want to do. The best way to counter this that I'm aware of is to have a diary which you write a few lines/bullet points in daily. The bullet points detail your biggest ambitions in life. Not the things you can do today or this week but flat out your biggest ambitions. As you get closer to those targets/hit them, those ambitions will grow, and it reminds you not to stagnate naturally.
