Homeless people have a (relatively) high degree of freedom. They can go anywhere, sleep anywhere, do anything, and be fine. Homeless people in my area are known to hop on trains and ride hundreds of miles, something that I can't do because of my responsibilities. The trade off is obvious, with hunger being a huge deal, as well as the lack of escape from the cold, the wet, the police, etc.
