Her childhood friend did not like me and talked shit about me too, but you know what? Her husband left her also, so she was in a "I hate men" mood for years also. I do get the poisoned well, but it was her friend, not mine.

She looked surprised at first, but not upset. After a few awkward minutes in silence, she just said, "Ok, when do you want to start?" We split amicably, we even used the same lawyer. We split the debts 50/50, and we got an evaluation of the house, and she refinanced the mortgage to pay me half, and get me off the title. There were no arguments or anything. It was like dissolving a business. Very weird feeling, but not bad at all compared to the nightmares I had heard of.

Yeah, when you are broken, or your partner is broken, that's when it shows if the relationship is true or not. I could never dream of leaving a partner when they were ill and needed help, even if I wanted to. I was instilled with the moral that you treat others as you expect to be treated. If you expect your partner to be there for you when you sign on, you have to be there for them when they need you. Relationships take sacrifice. The size of the sacrifice is variable, but it always exists.

Thank you very much! I tend to agree with you on a lifetime partner. People do change over time. You're more likely to grow apart than grow together. If you do find a partner to stay with you and love and take care of you for your entire life, you are extremely lucky nowadays. It's a different world now. In the past people were more likely to stick with their commitment to someone for a lifetime, now, it's more about what you feel as an individual. I don't believe in soulmates. Either you can ad…

Thank you very much. I am doing very well now and have been cancer free since 2013. Unfortunately my friend passed away from his cancer a few months after my episode. :( I do miss him and he was a greater friend than my 1st wife ever was. I did find a wonderful woman who does care about me, and not how much money I make, so I am eternally grateful for having a second chance at life. I've been with my 2nd wife a little over 5 years now, and i'm a lucky guy.

It was a long and complicated story, but she didn't think much of me anymore anyway. There was another post discussing how women aren't attracted to men as much if they earn more, and that played into this also. We started dating in college. She was an accounting major, and I was a biology major. When we graduated and got jobs we both made about the same, so all was good then. As time went on she started to make more and more money than me. We bought a home in a well to do suburb and lived the s…

Nope, she just checked out on me emotionally. I had to keep to a special iodine free diet for a month after the surgery, but to get that type of special food I had to go to Trader Joes to get it, and there wasn't one nearby. She worked in Boston and we lived 30 miles north. She said going to get my food wasn't convenient to her, and she already had a long drive back and forth to work, so find someone to go get it for me, or go myself. I had an older friend who was battling lung cancer himself, a…

I suffered through thyroid cancer alone. My then wife did nothing to help me or visit me in the hospital when I was in. Once I recovered, I divorced her ass.

But it takes a strong father in that relationship to not allow his son to be feminized. Unfortunately, strong father's are not as well received as passive ones.

UN troops to go in would most likely be US troops. While there are no all female battalions that I am aware of, there are lots of female troops in the service now, and they are pretty tough on their own. We don't want to disrespect our sisters, wives, daughters who do serve and are just as tough and deserve the same respect as men there. I think we have to be clear about who we are talking about, the stay at home/complain on social media types, yeah I agree 100% with you.

Nope, no Cali here. I'm in SC and things aren't trending that way here. I know there are talks about reparations to Black Americans due to slavery, but I don't see that going too far. I don't argue that black people were wronged and that slavery was wrong, but if there are any reparations to be made, they should go after the family's of these former slave owners. None of my family as European immigrants who came here to work in the mills were even in this country when slavery occurred. It is not…

Exactly. Huge red flag with that woman. I'm all for equality, but not subjugation to make up for my ancestors transgressions. I'm responsible for my behavior, not every man that has ever lived and I don't have to make any reparations. That's what the feminists cannot understand or tolerate.

Or, they post an old picture of themselves before they gained all of the weight. I was catfished this way once. I was talking to a gal for a few months and after some time went by I flew down to meet her. I get out of the airport and i'm looking around for a fit, attractive blonde woman and walked right by this heavy set brown haired woman when I hear my name called. I turned around and she says, "You walked right by me, didn't you recognize me?" In my head I said, "No, because you look nothing …

Well, whatever term that you want to use to describe males who take charge of their lives and are leaders, as opposed to those who only follow and do what they are told. You can't argue that some people, both male and/or female, are leaders, and some are followers. That is a sociological fact.

Then the whole system would fall apart because they are breeding with the betas and other "yes ma'am's". If by chance all alpha men ceased to exist, the women would turn on themselves next and the "mean girl" cliques would be dominating what they deem, "lesser women". It happens all the time. Women thrive on drama. Look at all of the Housewives of "XX" shows that are so popular. Look at the Kardashians, who wouldn't exist if not for women who made them rich.

If anything, this XX sub and FDS only represent a small proportion of the total female population, so if they choose to take themselves out of the dating/gene pool, I would say overall it's a positive thing. Let them complain to each other and hate on men. It just means that our odds are better that we don't get stuck with someone as miserable as they all are. Let them date themselves and see if their lives get any better. Lol

The thing is, the generations before created these monsters. They all grew up with their daddy's & mommy's telling them that they were Disney princesses. Now they've all grown up and think that they are "Queens". The thing is, very few, if any of them are worthy of the title of "Queen". What exactly are they bringing to the table in a relationship? That's what you have to ask yourself. I got married for companionship. Anything else, money, housework, physical needs, I can supply myself, so if a …

I left my first wife at 20 years because she totally shut me off. I've heard a lot of older women try to justify it and think that we as men just have to accept it. If she doesn't want to and you do, and there is no agreement, then you leave and find someone who's desires align with yours. A lot of women seem to think that we as men should just accept this. No, if both parties aren't happy, there is no sense in being in a marriage.

I like getting tools also, as long as they aren't some cheap, throwaway, no-name brand made in China. My wife will often ask what I want and I will reply with a certain tool and a couple of models that I prefer. If you're a homeowner, tools are indispensable pieces of equipment. Not too many people can afford to call in a handyman or professional for every little fix that is needed, and we all know that with a few exceptions, the wife isn't gonna get it done.

If you have to neuter your language to fit someone else's narrative, what's the point? There's no real discussion that comes from it, it's just a bitching echo chamber. I've tossed a few grenades and walked away from some subs because they don't want reasoned discussion, they just want affirmation of their opinions.

I believe in a majority of what is discussed here, but to take killallmen seriously would be falling right into the trap that the other side falls into where we get all "sensitive and upset". A good dose of letting this roll off our backs and taking a dose of toughen up is required for this one.

I had gotten divorced back in 2013. I dated around for a couple of years, but never more than 1 lady at a time. After a bit I met a wonderful woman and after a year we got married. Shortly before and for a couple of years after, my wife would get private messages that I was no good and a cheater. My wife would get upset about this and I told her to just block or ignore them. It finally became apparent that this was a few of these women that I had dated previously and they just wanted to destroy …

Women are their own worst enemies. In my experience, they are way more competitive and vindictive than men. Women will want to destroy a perceived rival and gather a pack around her to accomplish it. Men pretty much deal with things one on one, then move on. We aren't concerned with "destroying" another man. Just my observations.

This is not equality, it's role reversal. If my wife tried to feminize me, she wouldn't be around for long. I help with chores and cooking and things like that, but the rest of this is just bs.

Excuses for not feeling well, wah... I don't feel well and have aches & pains many days, not just one week a month, but I don't make it a point to complain about it and make everyone else around me miserable. I know women who do. Most men that work in a trade end up broken down in some way as they age, but do they whine, most don't, they just go about their work and go home and deal with their shit. Women can't handle their shit, they want to constantly be seen as a victim and have you go, "oh, …

I had a first wife who I ended up divorcing because she made more money than me as an accountant than I did as a scientist. She would ridicule me that she made more and that I was not a good enough man because of this. She shut me off from any affection and eventually had me move out of the master bedroom and build an apartment for myself in our house in the cellar. After surviving a bout with cancer, that she offered next to no help with, I told her I was divorcing her and I did it. I ended up …

Ikr? I wonder how many female vigilantes would dive in if you called some woman fat or that she needed to grow a chin. The difference is, for the most part men are lions and work alone. Women are wolves and work in packs.

The thing is, many who "turn lesbian" actually end up in the exact same situations that they had with men. Same with men who change their preference and decide to date other men. I am a middle-aged, married hetero guy, but I have friends in most of the different demographics, and they all complain about the same things. Male, female, gay, straight, bi... people are people. The grass is not always greener on the other side. We all have our faults. I do sympathize with the younger men here. I feel…

My testicles aren't kept in my wife's purse. I don't need her permission or approval for anything I say. We both don't really care what other people think about our relationship. Are you single? Throughout my long career as a scientist, 99% of the time my immediate or upper level bosses have been women, and a majority of the managers at other companies that I communicate with are women, so from my side of this topic, I just don't see how "men have all the power". Throughout my life it has been women with the power. It wasn't until I divorced my first wife that I actually had any power in my life. Feminism & wokeness is all BS in my eyes. I feel yall. I am doing this myself, but fortunately I have a good wife by my side doing along with me. Keep living your good life and don't ever give that up. Compromise is necessary living with a partner, but the benefits can definitely outweigh the costs if you're a good match. Keeping in mind there is never a perfect match.

I'm a scientist/molecular biologist, I look at the world on a cellular & genetic level. If you have an XY chromosome you are male, and if you have an XX chromosome you are a female. It doesn't matter how you modify your body on the outside. If you are male, you will never carry a child. If you are female, you will never father a child. It doesn't matter what you think your gender might be in your head.

As men, we aren't "obligated" to acknowledge anything but the holidays with our loved ones & family. I just ignore what other people want to celebrate. That's for them, fine... I don't have to join their party. Let them celebrate themselves if it makes them feel better. I don't care or pay attention on my part as long as i'm not forced to participate.

I would have to agree with her on most of this. I don't know about other guys, but having a woman that cried constantly, or bitched constantly is a turn off for me also. Like she said, a funeral or something like that, ok, but just crying over little things... toughen up buttercup. That applies to both sexes imho.

The double standard that we men are held to now is ridiculous. We have to make reparations for our predecessors faults on almost every front. I'm not a hardcore old-school man, but I do believe in some sorts of gender roles, as does my wife, thank god.

Hell, you can't even do that on here without facing backlash. I tried reading and responding respectfully in a woman's sub group to offer perspective, but all they want to do is bitch to each other and live in an echo chamber of complaints. The mod says they are open to all genders, but if you dare post anything that doesn't affirm what they say, they jump on you with down votes. I guess happy women don't post that much on social media.
