I don't think you should be shit testing. It's putting yourself in her frame. If she is behaving how you want her to behave then you keep seeing her, if she's not then you soft or hard next depending on what she's doing/done wrong. I see shit testing a woman as wasting unnecessary energy on her.

That makes total sense. I take that on board. I have seen conflicting advice on that though. I've read another school of thought where if you offer a date and time and she can't make it you end up in a back and forth situation where she's trying to make you guess a time. But I guess the way around that is if she says she's not free and doesn't offer an alternative you just soft next rather than offering an alternative yourself. Thanks for your reply man.
