In my house only 25% need it down. Your 50% rule is flawed. That is given that there exactly 50% male and 50% female on the planet (that use a western style toilet) and occupy the same domicile at a gender rate equitable to 50%. The last one about the toilet seat was a joke. But it was difficult to be in that situation. It tore at the fabric of camaraderie and unit cohesion. A hot shower was a huge morale booster. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate and value women in the military it was just the nature of the beast. Gotta keep the service members healthy.

In certain areas men and women will never be "equal". I spent 4 years in the Army and served with women while in the Intelligence field. We still had to go out to the field and provide tactical intelligence support. These training missions were on average 2 weeks long.
