I did read it quite recently. But i did not really enjoy reading it. First impression was, that the start is really boring. (Not much happening and all the details explained dont seem to matter (especially to him)). After the conflict with the brother from the girl it got interesting. There were also some smaller contradictions with his mindset which bothered me. What i took out is, that it is really hard to write an engaging story when the protagonist has no clear goal. A set of values which gu…

I would love a story about a man who just cares about himself. Sometimes he does good, sometimes he does bad. Whatever suits him or his values. But he is not bothered about saving the world/kingdom/clan. Also he does not have a helper syndrome. (He can be generally good, but if helping sb gives him a lot of foreseeable inconvenience/trouble. He shouldn't bother about that person and not feel bad about abandoning her/him) If you know any such story please tell me =) One of the best stories i …

Thanks a lot for your effort. =D Those are some really good and practical tips to learn better.

yes, i agree with that. But i am not ready to put myself in a position of hardship anymore without a good goal to reach. Not sure how it will work out for me =D

I have the same problem. I dont see why i should take in hardships to reach a goal. Because most of my motivational factors dont count anymore (ego, smv) also i dont have to prove/evaluate myself anymore to what is possible and what not. This is a somewhat vicious circle. Because i took a lot of satisfaction from setting and achieving goals (or at least part of them). Now this completely lacks because reaching something without some effort isnt satisfactory. What is left: Principle lie & Mental …

I dont understand exactly which statement you want to have checked. ""This is NOT what happened, (because of the way time works), but if thesame couples who had married that year also divorced that year were todivorce at the same rate as the marriages that divorced that year, thenthe rate of marriages that lasted would have been 4.0 per 1,000population. As I calculate it, that is .4% of the population, (I wouldread that as “four tenths of one percent.”)"" I cant really follow what exactly you ca…

Thank you for your time and effort to make your blog. I really enjoy reading it to get some insight of someone who stands at an completely different point in his life. I especially like, that i can just recommend it to a good (non Mgtow) friend, who is already a bit red pilled. Just to show him, maybe a bachelor life is an option for him. That only works because you make an effort to write it as neutral as possible and focus on how to deal with arising problems.

I wrote a post about this topic a couple of weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MGTOW2/comments/k7i1fq/why_focus_on_improving_yourself/ I would say, that self-improvement for the purpose of self-improvement is useless. BUT self-improvement was a huge motivation- or better said a satisfaction source. I could narrow this down for me to the core of setting goals and achieving those. So you need to find something where you get the motivation to endure some hardships to achieve goals. self-improvemen…

I dont understand, why you get so much hate for this post. If loosing all your emotional connection to women defines MGTOW for someone, then loosing all emotional connection with your mother follows logically. I personally don't believe, that the first statement is necessary. But i would definitely say:As a MGTOW you have to be ready to loose the emotional connection to anybody. And you should do so if they can't agree to your terms. If you can't do that you are lead astray from your path. So …

1) State care program/insurance 2) private insurance 3) social circle (aka friends) -> you can argue, that if you put even a fraction of the time you would put in in a (classic) relationship into the relationship to your friend, then the possibility of them dropping you in times of need is equal or smaller than in a relationship.

Then i did understand you wrong. I thought you would mean marriage works if you treat it as life long commitment.

I can only second this. I liked to watch some of his stuff to get some thought input. But i wouldn't not recommend to take his word for absolute truth. I have the feeling, that in some fields, he has more a fixed worldview and he tries to rationalize and explain it. I find Sam Harris far more interesting and also more rational oriented. Edit: Check the youtube chanel rationality rules. He has a couple of videos on J.P. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqZMgLgGlYAWvSU8lZ9xiVg/search?query=jordan%…

MGTOW doesn't mean you cant do anything with women. The best thing to decide something is post nut clarity. So if you have the possibility to do something with a girl, check if you still want to do it after you let one go. If you want to do a favor for a women, check if you would do the same for a man who is similarly related to you. And the most important, but hardest is: Don't get addicted to the validation of females (or others in general). You are not defined by how well you are received by …

Ok, assume we let aside the contractual inequalities that marriage holds in most countries. The Problem with a irreversible lifelong commitment is, that people change. You are ready for a commitment with the person she is right now, and the person you are right now. What do you do if your values change or she becomes an, for you, intolerable person?

If you get an increased "work load" because you stick to your values, does it still bother you? Or will this come easier with time? Especially if the outcome is unchanged. You just have additional work to make a point or to be more content with yourself.

I encountered some different possibilities as motivational factor. 1) Exploring your limits (in some self chosen field) 2) Perfect a skill (similar to above but the focus is a bit different) 3) Put your focus on changing something in your environment for the better But yes, all those things are no necessities. They just work good as internal motivational factor. For me, most of these choices dont work at the moment. So i decided to give all my hollow aspirations up and be content with being seen…

There are a lot of small things which really opened a new perspective. If you want something big: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCofmZlC72g Its Sam Harris on free will. There are some scientific experiments witch suggest, that free will cant exist. If you like Science i can really recommend veritasium. Not life changing things but really interesting and helps to get a better understanding about physics.https://www.youtube.com/user/1veritasium If you are more interested in philosophy, religion …

I try to structure a bit. correct me if i am wrong about your position. A main point where we don't yet agree is, where do our values come from. You: from our social circle Me: Normally social circle, but it is not necessary My whole point in my earlier post was this: you cannot form internal judgments on any coherent basis without first having acquired principles, values, and priorities from external sources. Therefore, the validity of any of your internal judgments is dependent on the validity…

Some questions came in to my mind reading your post. Were you truly happy alone? If yes, then the input of others shouldn't make you 2nd guessing that hard and they shouldn't put you that much down. It may be, that being alone is just OK. Meaning it just works satisfactorily enough because you dont have to deal with things which affect you negatively. Are you talking often with other people about such big topics like life choices? At least in my environment you dont often touch such subjects…

I think I agree with you in central parts. Just some little details not. You should not do something bc others expect it from you. Of course you should (at times). This is how family, work, and all friendships operate, after all. We put expectations on each other and ourselves all the time. And we should. I think you can still differentiate it. i.e. i offer my friend a bier not because he expects it but bc i want to do give something good for my friend. Or i help my brother move in a new flat …

Yes happiness is a disadvantageous word here. I didn't translate it properly. Did an Edit, that contentment would fit in much better

But all those things can happen as byproduct of a decision on internal factors. What i mean is with no external validation and motivation: You should not do something bc others expect it from you. You should not do something to have a feeling of superiority about other or to invoke envy in others. You should not do something to get praised or complimented by others. But all those things can happen as byproduct of a decision on internal factors. But you should definitely take input from the out…

Do you know why you wanted to be in great shape and start your own business? That would be the key to your underlying driving forces. But i feel you, i achieved most of the things i wanted. Now there is nothing left to truly desire to do. And I dont want to use some things that motivated me as driving factor anymore or i think that they lead to a dead end.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, my values are my strongest pillar of support and guideline in my life. That is what i meant with specific morals. (I think values is a better term than morals because it is less loaded). I just struggle sometimes with the feeling: Why should i put in the effort if no one else does.

contentment Yes, should have used contentment for some parts. But when are you content? And if you are truly content, then there should not be a need/desire to improve yourself.

Yes, you need a minimum (depending on which lifestyle you want). But if you have a stable job with sufficient income (and some reserves to be able to adabt), why should you improve your job situation? Or differently asked: at which point do you stop wanting more and more income and wealth?

Thats a really long Post…. First, and I cant address this enough: Generalisation is always problematic and most of the times wrong. For most of your points there is no or barely any evidence. I think it is always good to keep in mind, there are differences between the sexes. But the overlap is bigger than the differences. To address some key points: Women in History: In my Opinion was the women in history not that powerless as it I often portrait. They had often no direct rights/control (for exa…
