I think that depending on what you want to change. If it's something related to personality (not habits) it's hard for a person to change, personality defines what oneself is and how they behave so changing their ways of acting in life is like asking them to change who they are. I discourage this, maybe he is a HVM but not the HVM that fits you. If it is a physical trait (ex. he has dry skin and you wished he used moisturizer) I would only suggest a change if it's beneficial for your partner and…

Virtual hug. You will heal. Work on yourself, on your mental well-being, on your self worth, on your inner self, it sounds that you need it right now. You were brave for telling to his other gf, you saved another women of this idiot. Stay strong 🌸

I asked about books/movie tastes. The content a person enjoys tells a lot about them. Also what was the last movie he saw, I want to know if he sees good/interesting films regularly or what. I also asked about politics. For me a person I date must be instructed in some political context/history and must match my political views. I can't understand couples that diverge in this topic, it basically describes your beliefs and principles. A good question is also which are his hobbies. No hobbies? No …

I'm a very tall girl and I was 100% fooled by "get yourself a tall man". I wasted my time valuing heigh and dating super tall guys but they were LVM. Society forced me to value heigh so much because I'm tall and I obviously need to be shorter than my man if not he wouldn't want me or he would feel inferior when I wear heels. After I started to value other things, I found my current partner, a HVM who is only a bit taller than me (he is 6,1/1,86m) but he has more to offer than being tall and he N…

I love beards too but there was once upon a time that I was naive enough to think that all men wash their faces with soap every morning like I do. Now that I know most men don't I'm wary of kissing bearded men other than my bf (I'm from Spain where women double kiss others in the cheek and ugh, thanks corona for stopping this).

I would have no issues with my man having one or two female friends BUT going the two of them to have breakfast while "I'm busy" without consulting me AND never introduce her to me mysteriously? Talking by Facetime? Idk, this seems sketchy. If you don't trust a man it's because there are reasons. Plus most men "female friends" are not the concept of friend I have. Jane is the way.

Sure dirty dishes? Never met any single women with a full sink... on the other hand I met 10+ single men who did the dishes once a month (when his mom came to visit).

My friend (26F) is with a LVM (I don't even know him yet in person but his actions speak loud) she met at her job. For about 1 year my best friend was the 'mistress', meaning the guy had an official girfriend and she was 'the other one' I tried to convince her to leave him constantly and when she was finally determined, the guy left his official girl and asked my friend to be exclusive. The thing is that the guy is amazing at planning dates (he does elaborated plans for my friend, he pays, gifts…

My man likes videogames and I do too bit we spend reasonable time playing them, like 3-4h A MONTH. Games can be a hardcore addiction if you can't set yourself healthy boundaries when enjoying them, like many tech related things (browsing insta, youtube...). Plus he never made me watch him play even if I like videogames too, that would be absurd. I work in the videogame industry (mobile) and when I see the time & money some users (mostly men) spend connected every week it makes me feel sick. This…

I totally hate how he remark he's white and soo skilled he knows spanish... (plus there are people who speaks spanish and are not latino, have you heard about Spain dude). He's an asshole, at the very first sentence he should've made clear he understands... plus you have a latino gf and 'don't bring up' you know spanish??? WEIRD.

I don't want to intrude the privacy of anyone but If my man is giving me reasons to check his phone , I'm 100% checking with no regrets and 0 guilt.

Totally this, I only compliment males that are my close friends and usually they have girlfriends/wifes and I know they will take my compliment as just a compliment and say "thank you" or politely compliment me back. Also men think they shower us with their rethorica but sexual remarks or comments about our appearance for me doesn't count as compliments. Women tend to give more appropiate and encouraging words.

If you can't cook why invite me to a dinner date. I don't date men who can't cook but if I make an exception, at least make your BEST effort to make something good and if you fail order fancy food from somewhere and display it properly so you could at least please me. There's no wine.

The thing that helped me a lot was No Contact. Don't give him the chance to come back/contact you or give yourself the chance to contact him. Don't stalk his social media. It will help you forget and heal. It gets better. Try to avoid drowning in sorrow if you can, staying active helped me to stop overthinking, focus on your things, do short walks or light exercise, pick any hobbie you like... You can do it and you will get better soon!

Don't go into a long term relationship yet, just have fun (with worthy dudes) or be single and focused on yourself. It will provably go wrong because guys on their 20s still have to mature a LOT and they will loose you time that you could've spent on yourself. Learn to manage your finances, set your educational and life goals, pick interesting hobbies that you like and cultivate yourself. Also, from my personal experience, in this age friendship becomes unstable as some of your female friends wi…

The same men that spend little on women and say that we doesn't deserve their money are the ones that will pressure you into having first date sex and the ones who think that even the girl is not in the mood she shouldn't reject because "she accepted to go to his (parents) house already". Yeah those men, who are also broke.

Yeah of it the second option is very weird, you're right... I would never go with a man who I don't know very good... and what if you say no?

In my case it was not unspoken, he had asked me to go out previously & we talked about it, it just was a fancy way of repeating the same thing. I've never been un an 'unspoken commitment' too, I prefer this kind of things to be clear verbally.

Dudes can't really break up with you without returning or what. Never meet a dude who make a 'clear' breakup without crawling back to the woman after it. If u caugh feelings for another girl just let your ex alone ffs.

I believe they were already semi-formal/ in a formal agreement of a relationship. If not I wouldn't agree to go on a 3-day vacation with some rando. My bf did this for me, he booked some nice place and asked me 'officially' to go out but we've already been committed to each other and talked about it, it was just a 'fancy' way of making it more official.

Yes, totally this but I feel like even with parents that treat the topic (I'm totally in favor of sex ed, open parents, etc.) society constantly enforces and validates de porn consumption so my point was more like "I wish society started to enforce a negative perception of porn instead of encouraging it". Sorry if I express myself bad, english is not my first language.

I feel like parental control over internet is a bad think parents are forced to do because of this kind of sites. If I had a child, I wouldn't want to be forced to coherce his freedom just because he could step in web pages degigned by and to sick people but I would be forced to do so because this sites predates on the curiosity of my child (its normal to be curious of things at 12 y.o.) to get them addicted. And explaining a 12 years old that porn is a bad thing because it's not ethical is diff…

WOW, just WOW. The people talking about the childs are absolutely disgusting but the guy like defending that is normal that men consume porn where young women are featured instead of having a healthy preferance for women of their age? DIS-GUS-TING. Remembers me when old man catcall me and observe me with their filthy eyes.

This^, I live in a country where sex ed is pretty integrated and never knew about this, sex ed is always provided by a nurse/doctor specifically educated on the topic and how to teach kids about it. Porn is not sex education, it's the opposite.

And there's more, WHY the pee standing? They can pee like us, sitting down, no risk of missing, no drops, no "pee mist" (even if they aim good, there's always subtle drops). So WHY? As fas as I know, they can sit and pee normally. (Sorry if this was graphic)

I heard a story recently about an acquaintance that got proposed in a McDonalds. Mind here where I am from McDonalds are popular but not as in America, it's a different story. Even tho, they're still trashy and sell low quality food. She was so like 'omg the proposal was so original, the people where clapping and cheering. I am a simple girl bla bla I was so happy..." I was horrified and couldn't say a word.

I can feel you totally because after I broke up with my ex I was like you, tired of playing, dates where I hold the ENTIRE conversation (really dude, can't you say anything remotely interesting), sex messages (super unconfortable for me), broke dudes... I started to be a bit of a pick me but one day a fellow woman (I didn't knew this sub at that time) enlightened me: "You don't need a man. The 'OK' man will come for you eventually. Instead, give all that efforts you waste on men to the person yo…
