I have. Just takes time and being around the right people. I was well into adulthood before I started getting serious relationships.

I can say, though I’m a woman, that I was made fun of by especially small minded people in person. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 24. And I was incredibly self conscious and insecure. Felt unlovable and like no one would want me, because clearly they didn’t yet, so maybe they never would. It’s a fucked up thing people do.

Equating rape and cheating is wild. Like one doesn’t automatically equal the other. False correlations and accusations like that make me so mad and it’s screws up shit for people who do get raped and aren’t making it up. Ugh.

I have no clue if men have similar fb pages, so I don’t know if I’ve ever been in one. So I don’t have personal experience on that side of the coin. I’m sorry that happened. I’m know it’s really jarring and hurtful when lies are being spread about you. I will say I belong to a few and I haven’t seen anything this egregious( though I wouldn’t know if things were being made up about someone). I’ve seen most posts with no reply’s cause no one had any experiences, or if there are reply’s most them g…

Just want to say as a lady, I think introverted men with long hair are attractive. Your gf wasn’t the one for you if she didn’t like you for you. I know it still hurts though. It’s wonderful you are questioning yourself. It takes courage and determination to do so. Keep that up.

That’s awful and I’m so sorry you experienced that. People can be absolutely needlessly cruel. :( I was made fun of for being a virgin for many years and felt very unlovable. I wish I had handled things differently back then, but I did the best I could with what I knew and had. I echo what a few others have said prior- addressing the trauma from middle school will probably really help you. That’s a lot of horror emotional torture that would deeply hurt anyone. You deserve to not have that in you…

My perspective is that some women have learned to be happy single. Often dating is very emotionally draining for women and even dangerous. The odds of finding a good partner isn’t always worth the risk to one’s safety and peace. I’ve found this is where some women get after years of working and trying for a healthy relationship. It’s not something they usually just decide to do for no reason. Often they have tried and have decided to tap out after serious detriment to themselves for years. I wan…

Hormonal BC absolutely screwed up my sex drive among other things. I had basically zero interest in sex, and struggled to get aroused. I can't take it now due to the kind of migraines I get. Currently I have the copper IUD , I've had it about 2 years. I've had more intense cramps but I'll take that over what I went through with hormone BC.

Agreed. Fulfillment comes through honest communication. I do have sympathy for people who struggle with it. What I don’t have sympathy for is those who struggle with it and refuse to acknowledge it or change and instead constantly complain.

I’m glad you have a good partner. Those can be hard to come by sadly. Also, being able to speak up for yourself is awesome, I really struggle with that. Especially in bed. Currently something therapy is helping with. But man ptsd is a bitch. Lol

I mean. I would love to have that. I often feel like I am just fulfilling a fantasy for men during sex, or their needs. Obviously part of this is my problem as well and I’ve just become aware of it. But I have a legit fear of asking for what I need or saying no too often. Yay sexual trauma. 😅 It also sucks because I often get super anxious when too much attention is paid to my sexual needs because then I feel selfish and bad, had previous partners get cruel with me for asking for attention. But …

Happens to women too. I was an ugly ducking. Now as an adult I am still in denial and feel strange about being found attractive. The attractiveness factor is so so real. Pretty people get treated better, sad but true.

I appreciate the clarification- different relationship styles work for different people. We should each be free to choose and no one should EVER be pressured to participate in a style that aren’t okay with. I see that a lot both ways. Relationships are hard af. We all have different needs and expectations. Communication about them is the biggest key IMO.

I explicitly said in the following paragraph that these behaviors can happen in any relationship style. I’m assuming you missed that part or misunderstood. Of course there are non monogamous toxic people and culture, I never said otherwise wise. However, most people are monogamous so most of the toxic behaviors I have experienced or seen have been in monogamous relationships. You are not educating me on anything to do with non monogamy or monogamy. Or even challenging my perspective or understan…

You hit the nail on the head here with all those points. Well said. Jealousy happens in any relationship I think. It really does depend on how you communicate and process your jealously that matters. I really hate the idea of someone “belonging” to me as well. I’ve seen people who can dictate what their partners can or can’t do based on insecurity or trauma they have(like my partner can’t watch porn ever because he has me or my partner can’t go skinny dipping because I don’t want others to see t…

Thanks. Me too. It’s really discouraging. Thank god for sexual toys, I just think of all my poor female ancestors who didn’t have this tech. Some of them may never of had an orgasm. :(

I’ve had men I’ve told I’m not interested confront me and demand an explanation as to why. In person, and manipulate me into feeling awful about not wanting to fuck them. Or I’ve had guys when I gave them direction about what I wanted or what felt good stop because they got their feelings hurt, or just straight up ignore me. I’ve had others tell me I am selfish or they don’t help get off at all when they just used me as a sex doll basically. And when I mention I’d like to get off they say they’r…

Good for you, you shouldn’t have to settle. ☺️
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 07:58 PM

Can relate. The more I read about this kinda stuff online the more I think it’s a type of person more than gender sometimes(not saying gender doesn’t play a role. I think it does, just not sure to what extent). I have gotten so much push back and shitty behavior from my male partners when I ask for the bare minimum. Like if you want to be coddled say so, that way you can find a partner that’s into caretaking or something. But I’m not that. 😩😬😂 I want an actual PARTNER. I get we go through shit s…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 03:53 PM

I agree that you shouldn’t just roll over. No one should tolerate abuse or hurtful/neglectful behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 03:49 PM

I really don’t know why you think women are so awful. There are shit women out there and good women out there. Just like men. This whole “which sex” is better shit makes me sick. Men and women both get lazy in relationships and sex. Often expressed in different ways based on what’s socially expectable for their gender. People can be incredibly selfish assholes. Finding good ones is worth it but difficult. Gender issues are real. But I honestly think it can create more of a divide than actual und…

Ironically I feel the same way about men. Everyone wants to feel valued and if one person isn’t putting in the same effort it’s not gonna work.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 05:56 AM

God yes this 100%. It’s okay for someone to not like a things. But all those other responses are absolutely damn ridiculous. Some Men assume so much about what women want because they want to be these sexual masters, if they actual listened they might actually achieve that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 05:53 AM

Honestly, guys I thought would never react negatively to me saying what I need have gotten downright hostile with me. Sadly it’s not that easy to just sleep with men who won’t act that way. Hell if it were I would have avoided a lot of heart ache and trauma. Not saying they shouldn’t communicate. But there is that fear factor for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 05:50 AM

Yeah that’s just unrealistic. You have to communicate what you like and make it an enjoyable thing to do together. I don’t get women or men who think like this. Drives me nuts.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 05:47 AM

I relate to this 100%. I have to consciously work on not panicking and immediately repressing my sexual desires. Or getting scared of them. I thought it always made me gross or a bad woman. The sexual conditioning is so so different for men and women. It’s frustrating as hell.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
