I'm a daily NPR listener and couldn't really tell if it was my bias only picking up on what I maybe incorrectly perceived was an over abundance of women's and minority issues stories, segments, and interviews or if it was true. I live in CA and yes PG&E. I use natural gas for heating so I wouldn't qualify for reduced rates :( My house is pretty efficient overall as I'm always under other efficent houses in terms of gas and power usage. it's just with the latest cold snap and a newborn that I've had to run the heater full blast at 66-68 24/7. There needs to be a better graduated system instead of hard thresholds. I don't know the SNAP limits on income.
