But just a quick point to you saying we make laws to protect rights the plurality want to remove. We don’t typically make laws that’s just how the system was set up. But, if the Governor of a state knows that A plurality of his/her constituents are for a certain thing then that person will advocate for it and try to get laws passed to that end so they can stay in power. It’s not like they do it out of the goodness of their heart or even because it’s their own held belief.

It’s not about not wanting someone to be able to do something arbitrarily. If a state bans abortion it’s because a plurality of them think it’s murder. I think what OP should have or was trying to say is Californians want it to be federal law for abortions to be legal and Texas just worries about what Texas does. Well I have read multiple studies and statistical analyses on the wage pay gap as well as run fairly simple regressions on wage determinants myself and and they all seem to agree with Hoff Sommers' points with the regressions narrowing the gap nearly to 0 with relatively few variables. While there are some studies which show wage discrimination in the way third wave feminists often cite, these do not seem to square with the data or the logic for that matter.
