It starts as an observation of broad patterns and devolves into a dogmatic handbook. Throw in some confirmation bias (because, let's face it, plenty are "like that") and you can get more than your daily serving of cringe. All-in-all; useful but very easily misconstrued. You still have to take each individual on their own merits, rather than generalizing like you're going hunting for elk. We might be animals but we're the most complex animals around.

The phrase "facts-based argument" is possibly the biggest red-herring going. There isn't an ideology out there which doesn't have at least some "factual" element to its observations and conclusions. This includes TRP and TBP. The trouble lies in the conclusions drawn. Facts =/=Truth. Hurling studies and articles at each other settles an argument like a few artillery shells settle a world war. In this debate especially, lived experience is ultimately decisive.

"Deeper than that" is different from saying "is perfectly fine without it." You're deeper than your covering of skin (which is far from your most important organ), but that doesn't mean you'd do just fine if I flayed you.

There's a strong bias against LTR's and marriage and your link was, I agree, pretty screwy. There's more than one school of thought on how to be a "captain" in a relationship. The author of that takes a very czarist and exhausting approach, which very few women of quality would put up with anyway. Like any school of thought you have to sift through the shit and find what you think is valuable. The whole "fuck as many chicks as possible bc its natural to want to spread your genes, but don't actua…

Then how about reporting it within, oh, a decade of it happening? There's nothing wrong with a little CYA to prevent landmines. Nobody's advocating being able to grope or call female coworkers "sugar tits" here. And maybe she's on the same page and something beautiful comes of it. Too bad. #HerToo. Why take the risk?

When that happens pigs will observe it from the air. Barring that, apparently some degree of professional separation is necessary. So be it. We can debate the context of that separation but clearly the most recent incarnations of feminism don't have any better ideas.

It's like you (and every other person screeching about "male hysteria") parachuted in from Mars just in time to catch the reaction, completely forgetting the shit storm which brought this about in the first place. Why is #metoo a holy Inquisition clearing the air, but men taking steps to avoid compromising situations suddenly mere silliness? I guess it's natural to want to eat your cake once you've got it, but that doesn't make the double standard any less bullshit.

If you're trying to replace a system which treated women like children with one that treats men like (potential) monsters, you get the same damned result; namely de facto gender segregation. In both cases ostensibly in the name of protecting women. This should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody, and I personally have a hard time finding any tears to shed over it. 200,000 years of modern mankind and we still can't figure out how to not be fucking idiots about intersex relations.

It all depends on what you mean by T(hat) when you say AWALT or NAWALT. Based on your parameters, either one could be basically true or wildly off base.

That's an interesting point, and I like the AA reference. Perhaps I should've used non-drinkers as an example since alcohol is way more ubiquitous. But even then I think it's about expectations versus reality, with a healthy dose of apathy. You have to seek what you're looking for; it won't just fall from the moon. The solution to finding that unicorns don't exist isn't to swear off horses. Once you find that your Disney Princess is a myth I'm not sure you should decide that you'll accept nothin…

I'm not aware of any stigma though. It seems more like a yawning chasm between their expectations and their reality. Any true "MGTOW" would be about whatever the fuck it is he's doing instead, rather than focusing on the fact that he doesn't deal with women. That's like me basing a huge part of my identity around not smoking pot. Sure, some people might think I was a loser for not doing so and pot is a widely accepted drug, but who cares? Keep it pushing and do what you do. That's how I see it, …

I never claimed JP was RP, I was parroting accusations. And where was the emotional appeal? It's literally about Roman philosophy. I can't even tell what your objection is. You think the above is impossible to carry out? That's a personal problem.

It's along the lines of "a dumb person's idea of what a smart person sounds like." But it's so easy to label any traditional manifestation of masculinity as "fragile" that I shy away from using the term. A man's comfort with his masculinity shouldn't be measured by his willingness to abandon it, which seems to be the modern definition. But caricatures like Trump, and the men genuinely taken in by them, don't deserve any praise either.

In all relationships of course not. In a romantic one, yes you do. You can recognize it or not, and how much of it is debatable (like I said). Some people immediately jump into dom-sub imagery anytime the word "power" is used. But that's a lack of nuance on their part, not a refutation of the concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/18 12:06 AM

The cold hard fact of life is that everything is about power except power; power is about sex (to invert Wilde's famous quote). The degree of power can be debated, as well as how that power is used. There doesn't have to be a huge gulf and the person with the upper hand doesn't have to be a tyrant. But to pretend that you can simply be glorified roommates is the quickest way to sap all passion and end up on the rocks. As with any idea this can be misunderstood and abused. But, given the prevaili…

Where did I claim to be all-knowing? I presented a viewpoint on one aspect from one civilization and made it clear I was doing so. How this translates into "OP wants to bring back animal sacrifice and gladiators" is beyond me. Let alone the dipshits bitching about there not being enough sex in it.

I didn't remove my post. TRP did and until a few days ago it wasn't even visible to me on my profile. I made it abundantly clear that I wasn't getting into the "how," so I'm not sure where the complaint about a lack of road maps is coming from. Also, your focus on sexual strategy is what's wrong with TRP mainly bc its not even sexual strategy. It's sexual tactics, small ball. To a point I agree with you. The whole "no hymen no diamond" mentality never made sense to me, especially when carried over to gf's. It's more important that she knows what she wants (and deems that you provide it) than her being a complete or relative neophyte. People forget that the emphasis on getting with virgins is borne of a time when men were wifeing teenagers, not 22-28 year olds.

If we're talking about merely hooking up then I guess. But if it's a hookup I'm probably not vetting her history nor sticking around long enough to find out, so I usually assume that I'm just that good.

It's all about context, and being able to read that context. Most women aren't the stand-offish "omg I can't even" types you might see on particular subs on this site, but that doesn't mean every chick you think is hot is just waiting for some alpha to come sweep her off her feet. The real lesson of TRP is to treat women like people, not divine beings, with all the good and bad ("misogyny") that comes with this. This doesn't entail treating them [in every context] as potential hookups. Most of t…

You shouldn't be putting a stopwatch to it. It'll happen if and when it happens. If they go upstairs together and disappear for an hour (which I'm guessing is the worst-case in this scenario) then guess who's not getting a ride home? It's that easy.

Yeah this. You're not going to stop people from doing what they want to do. A lot of dudes act like other men are capable of hypnotizing their girl or some shit. It takes two to tango, as they say. If your date is susceptible enough to some rando sweeping her off her feet that you're worried about it, you've fucked up in your choice of date. Obviously step in if you see she's being bothered, but beyond that just have fun and relax.

I'm not saying be guarded with everyone in your life, but you do need to be guarded with people like her. You should have 2-4 bros and a certain number of family members you can tell anything for sure. But from what I'm reading about your gf she's not in that category.

The main thing is to reduce the amount of confidential information you're giving. Listen more, talk less. Throughout history royalty and colonizers have cultivated an aura of omnipotence/invincibility around themselves to eliminate lese majeste, which was actually a crime in many (most?) monarchies. If the Emperor is seen to have no clothes, he's fucked, hence the expression. Interpersonal relationships aren't too much different. It sounds like you're trying to escalate your way out of a friendship (0% chance) and you're not even doing that in person (-50% chance). Enough of that. If she was trying to get with it 3 months ago and you let it slip into the friend zone you fucked up. Whether you're after plates or a gf you need to make your intentions clear from the beginning and keep the pressure up the entire time.

It's sad but it's been going on forever. Society dampened it in the past, and today's hedonism+social media have kicked it into overdrive, yes. But there is nothing new under the sun. If you are trying to get married you just need to be very careful about who you choose. There are no unicorns, but not all horses are created equal.

Gay men by far. As late as 2008 even California rejected it when it came to a vote. Most people I've seen take more of a laissez-faire attitude toward it, divorced from any actual passionate concern for the plight of homosexuals. I don't think the gay movement gained much traction until a shift was made from liberal arguments to libertarian ones.

It's a reaction to a dominant narrative which holds that human attraction is entirely rational. It calls bullshit on that. Are there people who overreact and deny any rationality (and by extension supposedly irrational things like loyalty)? Absolutely. But it's ultimately an exercise in shifting the Overton Window in a more sane direction. It's up to you to pick out what's bullshit (like AWALT where T=sociopathic harlotry) and proceed accordingly.

In the platonic sense I haven't had any since like 6th grade. I don't use the term "friend" as loosely as a lot of people but I'm assuming you mean the female equivalent of one of the bros. That doesn't really exist for me nor for ~99% of the dudes I know. Edit: outside of my sisters and some cousins, but it goes without saying that that's outside the realm of what we're talking about here.

In your example it is most definitely granted to him by his fellow citizens. It might've been granted out of fear (consent can be coerced) but it's still granted. They could just as easily remove said thug by contacting the authorities. Our overflowing prisons show we have zero trouble locking people up. Granted this is a 21st century U.S.-centric viewpoint, but I can't speak from any other experience. I've never lived in a lawless area.

Not really since that's what matters to people on the ground. All problems are ultimately local, consequently so should the solutions be local. Statistics oppress nobody, but specific incidents of poverty or mistreatment do. I think we should focus on those, and that means looking at areas where people live.

But it isn't helped by their race either, which is the definition of privilege. Like I said, nobody lives in an average. Tangentially this is why I think affirmative action ought to be tied to economic status rather than race. All disadvantaged people should be given a hand up.

The trouble I have with abortion is where the line is drawn. Infants can't survive on their own either and are (predominantly) reliant on the mother. By pro-choice logic, is infanticide wrong just because you can now look into the kid's eyes? Why not make the cut-off 12, or 18? If you deny life begins at conception then you have to decide where it does begin. It's a life issue that's been morphed into a women's liberation issue, in my humble opinion.

Privilege is a granted advantage to a person or group. It gets tricky when you start talking about groups because nobody lives in an average. My dirt-poor distant relatives in Eastern Kentucky wish they could cash in on some "white privilege." They're doing far worse than the hundreds of Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics in my upper-middle class Florida neighborhood. Women might get paid less "on average" but this is twisted into meaning a man and woman doing the same job at the same firm working th…

Virtue was never meant as a sexual strategy and it's absurd how the two ever got linked. People might as well say a key tenant of accounting is bravery. Almost totally unrelated.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/18 02:41 AM
2

Yeah I never got this. Wanting sex is vastly different from "only" wanting sex. It also has this implicit backdrop of women being these holy beings who could take sex or leave it (a major though declining BP myth which TRP has worked hard to smash). That's clearly bullshit. I've met plenty of chicks who only wanted sex. Not that this bothered me, to be fair.

It's a stupid name if you follow the analogy literally, because it means only partial enlightenment (you either take the red pill or you don't). But in practical terms, and what people mean when they say it, is a mix of taking into account social norms (call them ideals if you like) and higher intellect along with TRP's emphasis on the raw biological aspects/hind brain motivations. The shade of purple will vary but most people I've seen on here are reddish.

Labels can have their uses, but it is jarring to think that for the vast majority of people "the blue pill" is Viagra and "the red pill" means nothing at all.

Exactly. It's a balance. The old debate about nature vs nurture is idiotic. It's a polarity wherein each plays off the other. Reds, to be fair, are reacting to a paradigm which utterly denies nature (or at least did until very recently) but both have enormous impact on human beings.

Many of us Reds actually take the self-improvement aspect of TRP seriously. But you're right, unfortunately the general thrust is "take women off the pedestal...but leave their vaginas up there you virgin." In fact my last post before TRP went down was well-received upvote-wise, but was excoriated and ultimately removed for being insufficiently pussy-hounding. It can be frustrating.

Most of the time, yes. Because you can find hundreds (thousands?) of posts asking some version of "why don't men approach me more??" Unless a woman is a lesbian, male attention is not a problem. They want it. It's unartful/unattractive attention they don't like, but that's such an unbelievably First World problem I can't summon a single solitary fuck to give about it.

Morgan is an idiot. Playing a role in your kid's life is perfectly masculine, so long as you're not straying into "Mr. Mom" territory. As a side note, not all individual aspects of masculinity are tied to whether or not it gets pussies wet.

It's wrong to judge someone's worth by their paycheck. That's excessively materialist. e.g. Tekashi 6ix 9ine is a couple years younger than me making more than I'm ever likely to make, but I have no problem saying I'm worth more than him.

Your height doesn't make you beta, alpha, or omega, because it isn't a personality trait. It just means you have to try a lot harder. Being a non-white/Hispanic foreigner also hurts, unless you speak in an American accent. Yes. There's a bit of a gray area that gets people into all sorts of problems. In my opinion it isn't all that hard to read a situation and act accordingly, but that doesn't stop people from innocent misinterpretations.

There are ways to keep things going on the right trajectory. If you think you're going to be in the honeymoon phase for years on end you might as well wish that you could sprout wings. It's not happening. That's not the same thing as saying it has to end in a messy breakup or an affair (or both). How long you can do this depends partially on your actions and partially on how boredom-prone and principled your SO is.

MGTOW is not a realistic mass movement to begin with. For every dude who decides to retire into herbivoredom, there will be several who choose more aggressive outlets. I personally don't think the SMP is as fucked as that. My fellow reds sometimes paint a picture of 80% of dudes aren't fucking more than once a year or some shit. But if it ever did reach a tipping point mass-MGTOW isn't what you're going to see.

Yeah. Strategy is the whole war. Operational actions are major actions within that war. Tactics are what individual units carry out. Obviously it's bled out enough that they probably aren't pure military terms anymore.

Any practical advice on self-improvement and masculinity. Strategy, to use military terms, rather than isolated tactics. Looking at the broader picture. I often felt TRP should switch its moniker to "sexual tactics" because of how much small ball was being played. The occasional cautionary tale is also nice though most field reports didn't fit that mold, to put it mildly.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/18 02:31 AM
3

I think it does though. It's basically "there are no unicorns and all horses suck." It's the foundation of "don't get married." It takes the realization that your Disney Princess doesn't exist (true) and then says you shouldn't really accept anything less so enjoy the decline (not true). That is probably my biggest problem with TRP, despite being mainly red.

Jesus Christ Right back at you, Jaque. Take a pill. Don't use my comment to vent your frustrations on people who genuinely "hate" dudes with social issues. Everyone knows what I mean when I say sperg. Well almost, apparently.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/18 02:13 AM

Like attracts like, true. TRP's misguided "don't get married!" mantra largely comes from this confirmation bias. But I think the type of women RP methods attract are far more common than a lot of people care to admit. Probably a comfortable majority if you get right down to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/18 02:09 AM

Nah. It's their fundamental message(s) that people have the main problem with. The spergs, incels, and racists who admittedly flocked to it are (or were) just icing on the cake. TRP has an adversarial view of gender relations with a pro-male bias. In this day and age there is no way to make that dispostion go down smooth.

What does it matter if the hypergamy is open or not? That's like trying to correlate the crime rate with the conviction rate without any context? Doesn't make much difference for the victims.

I think it's better to say there's such thing as flirting when there's low probability of sex ever happening. "No possibility" is scarcely ever an accurate statement without the ability to read minds.

The welfare state doesn't enable hypergamy. Hypergamy can only be stopped by societal and legal pressures to limit branch swinging. You could take away the welfare state tomorrow and still not change the SMP. You'll still have the loose divorce laws, the technology-enabled thirst-fest, things like the pill (don't have to worry about pregnancy), and an anti-masculine feminist movement. I don't know where people get this notion that single mothers on food stamps are driving the current trends. Als…

That'd make more sense if this sub was more open to actually changing the culture and defeating the current incarnation of feminism. But any time that happens you get an avalanche of "can't change it bro, enjoy the decline!" Surface-level anti-tax screeds and racial redpilling aren't very useful if that's all the politics we're going to do here. So either make it comprehensive or stay away from it entirely, IMHO.

Yeah I'm always skeptical of trying to wed tax policy with sexual strategy. Divorce laws and our degenerate hookup culture have nothing to do with how much the state gives you when you're unemployed. Conservatives won that argument decades ago with welfare reform (just in case you think welfare is bad now). Hence why the Left has switched to SJWism.

Nah this is the foundation of dread. They'd rather hold onto what they have if it still has potential, than risk falling out of the tree with a miscalculated branch swing. Ideally, anyway. Remember that feelz and tingles trump all theory and logic.

I'm lukewarm on Peterson and I generally despise his fanboys, but you've highlighted an important difference. Do we encourage, or "enjoy," the decline while only paying lip service to our distaste for it, or do we push back against it and seek alternatives. Do you eat the bowl of shit while loudly (and unconvincingly) claiming to dislike the taste, or do you reject it and try to put something else on the menu? Most of the TRP, from what I've seen, falls in the former camps. I'm personally slowly…

Both you and the OP are right. Yes, it's pointless to be a nihilistic and hedonistic hookup artist. You may not think so when you're 18 or 22, but human bonding is vital. And this is missed by many (probably most) dudes on TRP. But at least the final paragraph of the OP's holds: if you want birds, build a bird house first. That bond you want isn't just going to fall into your lap.

I actually think you do need to be held in high esteem. Legitimacy is vital. And I don't think fear can be equated with consent in the sense that I mean. Consent has voluntary connotations which fear-based obedience doesn't necessarily include. The question then becomes if people don't provide consent, what are they going to do about it and what are their incentives to try and do anything about it. There are many ways to expand on this, be it political, in the workplace, whatever. But the best way I could put it in generic terms is Religion. Our word religion comes from the Latin religio, which in turn is from religare, or "binding" (in this case "binding" oneself to the gods through proper ritual and respect). What are the things you do to bind people to you? Much of power is getting people to believe in you. I don't mean rooting for you, like some uncle at his nephew's football game. I m…

Yeah in Africa my dad was a king because being a large man meant food, and food meant wealth. Having a six pack isn't the fetish over there that it is over here. Everyone's body fat % is low; so who gives a shit? Transfer him to an American nightclub full of 17-23 year olds, on the other hand, and he wouldn't do so hot. "Based on" and "totally/almost totally determined by" are two very different things. It's an interesting hypothesis, but I'd invert it. If you can easily accept some men are terrible enough to violently subject women to rape, is it really that hard to grasp that some women are mean enough to lie and manipulate to hurt others and get their way? Despite what you see in paintings and Hollywood, heavy cavalry would typically only charge in once the enemy had been worn down by skirmishers, arrows, or (later) cannon fire. You brought in the horses only when it was a sure thing, and if you didn't you got slaughtered (see Agincourt, or the Charge of the Light Brigade). I view dropping the L-word in the same way. It should only be said once it's obvious, in which case it doesn't really matter who says it first.

That's the thing: if she keeps doing it. In my opinion it's best to treat the first instance as an annoying disappointment. Cut out the drama first. I'd simplify it and say that cockyness is just the outer trappings of confidence. It isn't necessarily delusional, but it isn't deep. Since it's entirely external it manifests itself in very external ways, often to an obnoxious extent. It must be projected. Confidence can also be projected but it's coming from a much deeper base. Virtual reality is more like a drug that can't maintain its grip forever. We've deluded ourselves the last 15 or so years into thinking that we, material beings, can exist in a largely de-materialized world. Virtual friends, online economic interactions, etc. Again, it'll get worse before it gets better, but even here biological reality will reassert itself. Be conscious of your image. At that age (really any age) it tends to be the default that the world projects your identity onto you rather than the other way around. Like a nation or a royal dynasty, you need to create your own narrative and then live it out. Obviously some people will call bullshit but fuck them. Most will either be drawn to the self-confidence or shrug, take your narrative at face-value, and then move on with their own lives. You have to be your own PR man.

I think you're being too credulous on the metoo movement. You stated (correctly) that sexual crimes are highly subjective, then you proceeded to elevate what often amounts to regret sex into a call for a return to the ancient past. Trust me, that's not what these women are after. I also think you overestimate how "illegitimized" sexual attention was back in the supposed good ol' days. Women were protected mostly in the romantic abstract, not necessarily in reality. If anything what we see today …

Used to happen all the time to the black community, often with deadly consequences. We should operate under the principle of innocent until proven guilty in all cases, but when it comes to rape cases I'm especially tenacious about holding to it. The bigger the crime, the more evidence is needed.

Hypergamy doesn't necessarily work upwards. The woman will always convince herself that her new man is an upgrade (why wouldn't she?). But it's not the cold, calculating decision that a lot of people, including in TRP, make it out to be. Yes sometimes hypergamy is cut and dry, i.e. she makes more than her husband, or Bill down the street has a better physique. But people, men and women alike, leave/cheat for variety far more often than for quality. Failure to see this, is why cheating/breakups f…

Men have never controlled what women find attractive nor have they ever presumed to. Wealthy Roman female aristocrats were paying high prices for the oil their favorite gladiators used to clean themselves, for instance. This shit is primal and ancient. The problem is that today we deny what women find attractive, and when a group of dudes come together to point it out they're treated like atheists in the Middle Ages. One of the main premises of TRP is to say, bluntly, what women find attractive …

Black men are not naturally redpilled, they're just the last demographic to hold on to masculinity in a major way. Conversely they're also the most fatherless demographic, which probably explains a lot. There's nothing to channel the testosterone (hence the crime and such) but there's nothing to curtail it either. Most moms can only control their son(s) for so long.

I love Blackdragon and I don't see it as an "alternative" to RP at all. It's completely RP. TRP is the radical notion that women are human beings, not angels. In today's world that's already wildly un-PC. The trouble is that many (most?) dudes who take the RP and realize that women aren't angels then conclude that they must be demons. They pull a total 180 and end up saying stupid shit. Taking someone off their pedestal doesn't necessarily entail throwing them into the gutter.

You have a conclusion in search of evidence. Like all white nationalists, you start with color and try to work backwards. It's fine to say, for instance, that black Americans have a single mother problem, or that they commit way too many crimes. It's fine to say that Arabs inbreed far too much. But when you try to take relatively recent trends and extrapolate permanent conclusions, you're fucked. If you were a Roman citizen in, say, Egypt 2,000 years ago, what would you be saying about the IQ of…

Couldn't agree more. Good black women do exist, just like any others. But they're not easily located. I find it interesting that the only one I know on a 1st name basis (besides my little sister) is married to a white man. I grew up in an extremely white environment so I never really dealt with the politics of being "black enough." But when I'm out in public with white or Hispanic girls nobody gives me dirtier looks than black women. Not even old white folks.

Yeah we tried that. What ends up happening is the girls want to crash the boys' party. Witness the [former] Boy Scouts, or the military, or any major sport (at least in the media aspect). And name a young guy you know who's part of a non-collegiate fraternal order. An all-male space would be badass, but it'd take about two seconds before girls wanted in and there are plenty enough pussy-addled dudes who'd let them in.

Or: first you are "gangsta" enough, but later they're all bitter that you're nowhere near the white-picket-fence lifestyle they've come to want. Black men are damned if they do, damned if they don't. This is spot on. Of course most men aren't really worth fearing anymore either. The narrative of manhood not meaning anything has pretty much reached full bloom. I think the girls in your locale have an exaggerated view of black men then. I tend to think different races and ethnicities work so long as everyone is singing from the same hymnal. It's culture that counts. Don't show me how a man looks, show me how he acts. Great post. What women mean by asshole and what men mean by asshole are not the same thing. It's the same dilemma you run into when a dude asks "does dick size matter" and chicks go "of course not." We're talking past each other, often on purpose (especially the women). Women typically mean asshole as a dude who knows what he wants and doesn't always give her what she wants (i.e. he isn't a pushover). Men use the term to mean a generally horrible human being. Because in a monogamous relationship a woman is getting security, companionship, and (most of the time) resources. The man is getting companionship and exclusive access to her vagina. I disagree. I think you have to use the same method the Europeans (especially the British) did in controlling their colonies. Namely cultivating an aura of invincibility and making things look effortless. You just hit on what I think is a very close second when it comes to importance in maintaining an LTR. You have to maintain control, which is basically maintaining masculine/feminine polarity. The majority of men make their wife a glorified roommate and then wonder why the sex plummets and/or she comes to them wanting a divorce or open relationship. Most modern marriages that last, my parents' included, are ones that haven't flippantly thrown off "gender roles" in favor of PC androgyny.

It's about when a person gains and spends mental energy, not about their social competence. This can't be said enough. There are probably as many socially incompetent extroverts as there are socially incompetent introverts. I'm related to a couple of them. They can be just as awkward and are 1,000,000x more obnoxious. The equation of "extroverted" with "socially adept" is like the frequent use of the word "decimation" to mean annihilation when it actually means "reduced by 1/10th": I know I'm no…

Especially trad-con. Being a creature of Midwestern and Sun Belt suburbs I don't run across an ass ton of feminists in the wild. But fuck-damn do I run across traditionalist white knights. They're like Englishmen who operate as though the British Empire still exists; they've put their faith in a bygone system that was never as airtight as nostalgia would have them believe anyway. Which is why these dudes take it the hardest when their "pure and faithful" unicorn Sarah gets caught blowing half th…

I've come around to the idea of basic income. It essentially eliminates the labyrinth of existing programs in favor of one consolidated safety net. Social Security? Don't need it: you're receiving basic income. Food stamps? Not necessary: you're on basic income. Put a minimal amount of money in people's pockets and let the chips fall where they may. It's the welfare state streamlined. College costs are a bitch because the job market increasingly sees a college diploma as essential but universiti…

True, but in the long run you can't outrun biology. On most PC nonsense SJW's unfortunately have at least a chance of changing mindsets. But when it comes to sexual relations/dynamics, they're like King Cnüt trying to order the tides to cease. It ain't happening.

That's true. There's definitely a sort of social proof that comes with being with your boys. But that's where the second part of your comment comes in which I like, namely that you're social with others. Unless their life is in a shit place at that moment, most people are down for some chit chat (in America at least. I know other cultures are more reserved).

I like this mindset. Solid post. Besides the general point of confronting your discomfort, way too many dudes feel like they can't masturdate (i.e. go out alone). They think it's the pack or nothing, lest they be considered weird or something. I'd be lying if I didn't say I've struggled with this myself. Rather than going out alone last night (plans fell thru also) I made a post which face-planted and spent the rest of the time watching docs with some Kraken rum. Again, solid post.

I was wondering when someone was going to make a post about that commercial. It struck me wrong too (it's amazing the shit you notice after you take TRP). The game really does never end. It's just that our ancestors tried harder to keep a lid on it. Sociopaths have always had an advantage. We say "plates," they said "mistresses." We call it "TRP," they called it things like "the natural order of things." It's like if in ten years they demoted all murders to a misdemeanor. Women are only "the enemy" if you expect them to do things that they can't/won't/don't do. I fucking love dogs. Would it be great if dogs could talk? Hell yeah it would. But they can't, I know they can't, and so I love them for what they can provide. TRP is basically the radical notion that your dog can't talk. Insert "woman" for dog and replace "talk" with any BP pedestalization myth, and you've got it.

That's exactly the mindset you have to have. I said they don't chase, but that's not the same thing as not showing interest. If she's down she'll let you know, then it's up to you to make a move or not. The whole monkey dance that most guys do is insane to me, and I'm not really a reserved dude.
/r/TheRedPill07/09/17 09:06 PM

That's not chasing. That's the bait wiggling extra hard when the fish it really wants to eat it swims by. Women almost never chase. I have been chased by chicks twice, but in both cases their SMV was ridiculously below mine. And I'm in a lot better shape (physically and otherwise) than I was when that happened.

My only quibble: Women don't chase. They desire, and hope you chase them. Plenty of the supposed "bottom 80%" are dating/fucking girls who are far from land whales. A Chad could easily break up a lot of those relationships if he came on the scene, sure. But you're not competing against every man on earth. I think women can provide it, it's just a matter of how long: the longer you want it, the harder you have to work. I don't plan on getting married any time soon, so it's not like I need eternal loyalty anyway. But I don't think loyalty in and of itself is too much to ask, especially when (in my experience) she's always the one pushing for an exclusive relationship in the first place.

There are easier ways to pull chicks than paying for friends and being the personal bitch pledge of other men your freshman year. If you're about that life then go for it. Most of my friends are in frats and my high school was basically a frat/sorority training house. But to me joining a fraternity is the social equivalent of getting a government job. I would posit that most men value loyalty because they're repulsed by the idea of inadvertently raising another man's kids, or at least being in a relationship with the "community bicycle." When it comes to families monogamy is the best system there is. My parents are going on 37 years with five kids (granted they're both very old school. I'm talking 1840s). Looking at friends with divorced parents, I wouldn't have it any other way. OP and her boy's problem is that they decided to be monogamous in their most sexually active years and yet still haven't decided to make a family. They're wasting each other's time at this point. It never ceases to amaze me how so many women are so uncomfortable with just breaking up with a dude immediately. Since turning on to TRP I now know the process behind it; AF/BB, branch swinging, etc. But I still don't really grasp their need to have a loyal man at home while they go out and betray him, often frequently, with dudes they're actually attracted to. Men are desired for behavior, not appearance. Judging your analysis based off fucking Tinder, which is totally about whether or not you have a hawt photo, is asinine. Is it easier to be attractive? Absolutely. It's certainly saved me from a lot of BP mistakes in the past and I'm not even model-level. But is it the be-all-and-end-all? Not even close. /r/TheRedPill30/08/17 05:55 PM

You're putting way too much thought into appearance man. You're thinking like a girl. Men are desired first and foremost for their behavior and achievements. Being attractive helps because it allows you to do what girls do, i.e. show up and get noticed. It's easy mode, hence why TRP is obsessed with lifting. But even then you still have to perform or you'll get your ass handed to you. Don't worry about it.
/r/TheRedPill30/08/17 05:51 PM
27

Precisely. Any man who's has sisters or has dated even one chick knows this. Hence yet another TRP truism: change her mood, not her mind. The fact that they're so emotionally-driven helps them in a lot of areas, but taking full responsibility (which is crucial for leadership positions) ain't one of them.

Not self-deprecating at all. If anything it's the opposite. It's a bit of pushback against the blithe assumption, among many RP and nearly all BP, that women are expert judges of men and so if a guy gets cheated on it must've been due to some deficiency on his part. If women were truly levelling up every time they moved on, then chicks with high n-counts should be praised like gods. But of course that's not what's really going on.

Tangentially on-topic, but it's funny to see how sucking dick "doesn't count" to sooo many chicks. Keep that shit in mind. But seriously dude drop this chick. You shouldn't be travelling 750 miles for the sake of any woman, unless you live in the Australian Outback or the most remote parts of North America. And even then, if you're going that far it damn well better be a sure thing. You're a validation machine right now. A girlfriend with a deeper voice. Don't play that role.

Nah. It's the fear of rejection. You're putting yourself out there as a person and you fear that the other person will reject you. The anxiety is "what if she doesn't like me," not "what if she doesn't fuck me." Sex is Step 2 or 3, unless you're paying for it or you specialize in Tinderellas. So it wouldn't even be accurate to say "good looks only draw them in." Even then you still have to go to her. Game and frame are the vast majority of your tools in the SMP. Looks just get them to hold still longer for the kill shot.

Great post. The vast majority of us came into this with at least a couple RP traits and I'm glad I can say this is one of mine, though in H.S. it set me against the grain. Even now most people I know feel some overwhelming desire to "do something" always, and feel it's a knock on their self-worth if they don't. They need a girlfriend, they need a party to go to on Friday, they need to be hanging with friends, etc or they feel like losers. From men I don't understand this mindset. I enjoy parties…

Exactly. Inherited resources aren't the same thing as inherited skill, though it can seem that way if you get a string of competent men. But when you inherit most of what you have competence is the only thing necessary to maintain it, until you get a true fuck-up in the family who sends the whole thing crashing down. Happened to my mom's family. They were wealthy in England and then Virginia, until a dipshit blew it all and they had to move to what was then the Kentucky frontier.

Sexually, men are desired for behavior; women are desired for appearance. It helps to be attractive, and it hurts to be hideous or fat, but ultimately you can't rest on your looks as a dude. This field report is yet another confirmation of that fact.

White is a meaningless term in America. Are you Old Stock? German? Irish? Scandinavian? Polish? Same as "brown." The only reason "black" is meaningful is because the vast majority of black Americans are descendants of slaves brought here and the term has become synonymous with that unique subculture. Not to mention the fact that they were shit on as a group for literally centuries. So it's not that "whites" don't have an identity. They do. But if you decouple it from white people's relation to n…

Precisely. It's exactly what I tell Muslims when I hear them complain about demonization or stigmatization but in the next breath say that they shouldn't have to condemn those who claim to speak for them. That's bullshit. Same with the right-wing or anyone else. It's up to every ideology to get its own house in order before they complain of being misrepresented. Don't do it too often. But don't be one of those guys who brag about not having done it for 115 days either. The testosterone benefits are temporary (like a few days to a week). After that, unless you're getting it out by fucking instead, it becomes downright unhealthy. It's a natural pressure relief system that you ignore at your own peril. Nofap is stupid. Sometimesfap is what you want to shoot for (no pun intended).

Not being a nice guy simply means not being a doormat and being honest in what you want instead of trying to "nice" your way into some pussy. Also, your throw-1,000-things-at-the-wall-and-hope-something-sticks approach is ill-advised. You're wanting it too badly (visiting Romania??). Nah, AWALT. The operative word in that is "like." Meaning similar. It doesn't mean you all follow the exact same play book or will react to every situation in the same way. AWALT isn't a script or manual. It's about potential tendencies, so you aren't blindsided when you catch your "angel" and "best friend" taking it balls deep from another guy. I generally find this to be true. It goes to the old RP saw about how what qualifies as "alpha" is going to vary from place to place. Troy from Muskogee who pulls all kinds of Southern/country poon is going to be a fish out of water on Chicago's north side (definitely its south side) or on Long Island. A hotshot investment banker isn't going to dominate the proceedings at a hipster festival. Etc, etc. If you're a middle/upper middle class dude with a Standard American accent your ticket to ride …

If she's hot, yes. But I would say for the vast "middle class" of women dick is better described as really cheap. Like a few dollars. Not every girl can get any guy, but they can all get a lot of guys. Testosterone is a hell of a drug. Many of us will fuck anything we can get to hold still long enough.

Bit of a quibble; beating some dude up for fucking your chick is as irrational as it gets, barring a rape. Nobody "steals" a woman. It ain't like a dognapping or some shit. She voluntarily gave herself to another man. You don't have to shake the dude's hand, but the trouble is with your cheating whore of an (ex)girlfriend, not the dude just doing what dudes do. You should never "rely" on a woman. Especially if you aren't married to her. I think it was Patrice O'Neal who said that he can only love someone 90%, maximum, because he needs something left over for himself in case they turn out to be pieces of shit. If you go 100% on a person (man, woman, doesn't matter) you're asking to get burned. And when it inevitably happens it tends to give you an exaggerated view of how shitty people are. This is kind of a askTRP post, but: You need to be reading your surroundings better. You seem to be in the beginning phase of knowing what to do, but not when/how to do it. For example, a great white shark isn't going to devour you every time you leap in with it. But you still need to know when to leap in, and be able to read shark body language once you've dove in (i.e. open mouth and displaying the black part of their underfins means it's time to gtfo the water while you can). Being young and unmarried this is a fascinating point to me. I think most of us view dead bedrooms almost exclusively as the wife losing attraction for the husband, but I'm sure what you described (the wife changing in the husband's eyes) happens at least as often. I doubt this is helped by the deeply and widely held assumption that sex after marriage is supposed to taper off, so guys don't really push or ask until it's way too late.

This isn't necessarily true. Who you are might be who you'd like to attract, but that's never how it works out. More superficial things than character (sense of humor, interests, place of work/school/residence) tend to have a far stronger effect on who you associate with. You can find good guys and pieces of shit in any environment at any time.

If you're black in Mississippi or Alabama you're not going to find many white girls/guys willing to openly date you (remember that fucking is different from dating). In the Southwest I imagine bringing a Latin chick or dude home would meet similar resistance in some quarters. Arizona especially. Relationships/marriages are subject to cultural pressures in a way that raw attraction is not, and this is jus…

See I never stopped doing that. It never got to the point where it threatened friendships (it just exasperated them occasionally), and it is something that both comes naturally to me and tends to benefit me. That being said, revealing yourself correctly is simply a matter of revealing yourself as much as you want. Your comfort should be paramount and fuck who likes it. But if you want to be more transparent just be more transparent. It essentially comes down to talking about yourself more. Again…

Her boyfriend sounds like a bitch. And she's the one cheating, not you. But this doesn't require you to facilitate her behavior. It isn't like this is the only pussy you can get, or at least it shouldn't be. Ideally you have a sense of honor which extends to guys you don't know, rather than literally driving the point home that his girl is a slut. That's how I tend to look at it. But I know other guys have a more finders-keepers view on these matters, and I get that (again, she's the one cheatin…

People are going to talk shit no matter what. The ideal is to give them little to shit talk about. The only reason the shit talking would be a betrayal of trust is if you took them into your confidence to begin with. Don't do that. Even some of my closest friends in high school referred to me as "mysterious" (they didn't mean it as a compliment) simply because I rarely announce my intentions, explain my actions, or volunteer my thoughts. This is a natural tendency of mine that I've learned to cu…

For starters you should be aloof in a genuine manner. You shouldn't be aloof as a tactic, i.e. as a way for them to come crawling back or anything like that. You have to actually not give a fuck. The thing about games is that they all end. Merely pretending to not give a fuck will fall apart eventually. If you don't want to be aloof, and if being polite/somewhat friendly won't end up with your balls in her purse, then don't be aloof. TRP maintains a pretty harsh view on ghosting exes, and I agre…

Patrice O'Neal said if his woman ever left he'd be a bit hurt, but he'd fill the void she left with however many women it took. At the time he said that, he reckoned his girl was a 5-woman girl. You don't need to love them to have fun with them. More important than women, you need to link up with other men. Join clubs; take up a social hobby; be on the lookout for solid dudes at places you already frequent (work, gym, church). You'd be surprised how easy it is. Despite spending all our time behi…

I'm more pissed by cleverly deceptive makeup than I am by goofy fashion choices. A good body is something you've got or you don't, and it'd take a hazmat suit to hide it. But, being a face man, I've found that the makeup industry is scarily, infuriatingly good at what it does. It's led to one or two mistakes on my part.

Women are serial monogamists. They want to fuck one guy lots of times rather than lots of guys once. That's because they're a passive attractor rather than an active hunter in like 98% of situations. This isn't the same as staying with one man forever; they like different dick just like we like different pussy. But they ideally like it one at a time. So if she's bringing up other guys and she's with you, it's probably because she's done/bored with you and is looking to fuck them. The only time s…

I agree. Our instincts inform our actions, they don't direct them. In my opinion a lot of dudes here on TRP are overly biologically determinist. But the pendelum has swung so far in the "everything is a social construct" direction that I can tolerate a bit of exaggeration in the other direction. When it comes to sex, you'll get better results erring on the side of instinct than you will by trusting in intellect which is the very basis, it seems, of BP thinking. In other aspects of human behavior…

If he's gay then fine. But the vast majority of guys aren't gay so that doesn't really apply. Now, just bc she wants the D doesn't mean the guy will give it to her. Interrogators often utilize "awkward" silences to flush out the lies or insecurities in who they're interrogating. What others find unsettling they use as a prime tool, because e who speaks first loses. Not much different here. Radio silence. If she wants it, and I suspect she does, she'll come looking for it.

No one's saying give in totally to our instincts. The problem is that there's a whole dominant narrative out there which basically says that instincts either don't matter at all or, better yet, don't exist. It's all a "social construct," they say. And this has real-world, awful consequences in how people approach intergender relations.

People think this is some sort of multiracial reincarnation of the Nazi Party. Really TRP just points to nature and empirical experience. You can't make this shit up, and you don't have to. This is a big part of why I hate the traditional date. Like I've got to prove I'm 'worthy' of being the 39th guy to shag you? Bitch, what do you bring to the table? Same goes with girls who want more commitment than I'm willing to give. Patrice O'Neal had a lot of good shit, but arguably his best bits were about how men have to have all this value to earn sex, but women have evolved almost zero skill in earning commitment/love. It's just expected, and yet it's an entitlement no one questions.

Couldn't hurt to ask her what's up. I wouldn't be like "hey, the fuck's with you?" Educated guesses are fine, but don't ever assume you know what the shot is. Husband could just be really jealous and she plays the demure housewife with every guy. It sounds like she's typically girl-friendly rather than giving off 'let me blow you' vibes. If you don't have an exit strategy it's time to formulate one. Your girl prattling on about another dude being sexual toward her is NEVER innocuous. It means she literally can't stop talking, let alone thinking, about him, even around you. So she casts him in a negative light (bitches aren't totally stupid, after all) to make it more palatable. Your post really needs more upvotes. If a bitch is thinking about/talking about/passionate about another man it's already over. Libertarian/Conservative mix, I guess. Though I don't really like any of the labels. Center-right or "on the left wing of the right wing" would probably be most accurate. The fact that France today resembles Italy a lot more than it does Ireland. The highest test for almost anything is a military one, and I can't think of a better illustration of OP's point than the ruthless, relentless discipline of the Roman legions versus the fierce but easily-exhausted enthusiasm/motivation of their Celtic opponents. I think you'll find that most people work a lot. Most guys, anyway. The people you see living it up are probably doing so on their own three weeks of vacation, unless they inherited a fuck ton of cash or have already built an empire. It's not hard to make your life look cool on Facebook or Instagram. Travel bloggers are a rare breed because travel is their job. They're probably paid by someone else to do what they do (again, unless they have the means to self-finance). If you don't enjoy your jo…

I really like this post. Interjecting some nuance and complexity into TRP is hard to overdo. We have an overly-dominant image of the direct and frisky Chad who hacks into Hannah's primal tingles and steals her from hapless Connor. That obviously works with some women, but a lot of women have been there, done that. Being an asshole isn't a fresh, "why is this making me so wet?" experience for them. They might still fuck you (might) because that's what they're used to. But even if they aren't sick…

I think perception is reality when it comes to this. She really does love you. Until she doesn't. I think there's a difference between a woman never loving you in the first place and her changing her mind with her feels. They are very emotional creatures, so it's a rare chick who is actually consciously running a cost-benefit analysis in her head. For most of them, tingles trump whatever might rationally be considered their interests. The trick is how to keep those tingles going as long as possi…

A man's love is based more around loyalty and possession. Especially loyalty. The late Patrice O'Neal broke it down pretty solidly when he talked about the difference between a man loving a woman and a man liking a woman. Love for us isn't all butterflies and coochi-coo nonsense, and if a guy is doing any of that beyond the age of 16 he needs to unfuck himself. It's "this is my bitch, maybe the mother of my children, and I'm going to take care of her and do my best not to stick my dick in any ot…

Frankly I don't get it. You start by lambasting the very concept of being an Alpha, and then go on to encourage(?) people on their journeys to become Alpha. You had a nugget of truth in the middle about the obsession with Alpha and Beta. That's because these two terms are more like tendencies (like laziness) rather than set traits (like skin color). But you didn't develop that point, and the rest lost me.

Solid post. In my experience, "fitting into White World" is the biggest part of this. I'm black as a motherfucker, straight from East Africa. But I'm adopted and have an almost all white family. Meaning I didn't have to practice my Standard American accent, and I move easily in middle/upper middle class white circles because that's practically where I'm from (adopted before I was even a year old). Add in a radio voice, decent physique, and a relatively attractive face and I've had loads of succe…

Great post. I think when people say women don't care as much about looks, some people automatically read that as women not being shallow. But they are shallow; they love traits, not people. Same as men do. They just tend to look at other traits. Being physically attractive as a guy is nice because it's playing on easy mode. That's a major reason for this sub's insistence on lifting. You can do to girls what they do to us, at least at first. Meaning just show up and get attention. But notice the …

Kissing and touching are about as close to sucking dick and fucking as Georgia is to Washington state. They're in the same country, but they're not the same thing. If you landed in one when you were supposed to be in the other you'd be pissed. This isn't too much different. She thinks he's attractive enough to give him a taste (literally), but for whatever reason she's decided he's not eating. My guess is it's because after treating him poorly and six months of ghosting, she realized that she st…

I'm something of a RP novice so it's hard for me to get a read on this. It's quite possible that you failed a shit test (a lot can go into what you somewhat vaguely describe as "explaining." Did you talk your way out of some pussy?). After all, we all know how girls are when they go overseas. But I'm leaning toward her simply being a bitch who expected to be treated like a princess in a foreign country, and she got salty when she found out that guys not taking her shit is a Transatlantic phenome…
