Side note: do y’all actually unlock or open his door when you’re inside the car? I’ve never done this, which led to some men saying I failed the test, lol.

Interesting take. What about men who hold doors open, but not car doors?

I agree with this, but for different reasons: cups, IUDs, and tampons have dangers that are downplayed or hidden by their manufacturers. Google Lauren Wasser, the model who nearly died from tampon-caused TSS, who’s on a mission to educate people about the toxic ingredients in tampons.

And women know, too, but tend to ignore the signs. Listen to your gut, ladies!

Yes, this is why I don’t like beards. A study found that most men’s beards have fecal bacteria from their nasty ass hands.

A comment on another thread said the bare minimum is something that you yourself would automatically do without thinking.

Present! Turning 40 next month and away from my old ways. I read everything on this sub during my daily “Self-Therapy Hour.”

Pay attention to how he is at work. If he’s trifling at work, he’s trifling at home. Also, I read that bosses are like parents in terms of their duties, so if he’s a bad boss (abusive, etc.), then he’ll probably be or is a bad parent.

This brings to mind Jo Rogers and her 2 daughters who were all raped and murdered by one man on a boat: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/cruelest-choices-article-1.1821207

Yup. I also noticed that I brought my Pickmeisha energy to my LV jobs. I was always going over and beyond for bosses and coworkers that didn’t deserve it, for crappy pay and no recognition. I also projected insecurities and overshared in interviews and at work. I won’t be doing that again, thanks to FDS!

I’d love to see content from professional FDSers on specific topics, like AMA from a therapist or a series of educational posts on healing from trauma, e.g. Also, maybe a space for FDSers to post about local activities or opportunities? Some folks may want to meet other HVW in their area, while others may want to know about potential new hobbies or interests that they can do alone. For example, I want to start hiking in the Bay Area after the pandemic, but I’m too scared to do it alone, and I do…

I’ve been offered the coffee/bar dates, but my fave offer was this one: Neighbor scrote: “Can I take you to lunch?” Me: “No.” Neighbor scrote: “How about dinner?” Me: “No.” Neighbor scrote: “But I can take you somewhere nice. I can take you to Sizzler.” Me: “Sizzler? Why didn’t you say that first? I’ve been dying to go there ever since I had my 8th grade grad dinner there in the 90s!” /s

This right here. And they specifically target people with insecurities to make themselves feel better. That’s why I’ve been working on my insecurities during lockdown so I won’t attract any more narcissistic assholes.

He’s fishing for a woman who’s just as depraved as him. He wouldn’t reveal his “sexual tourism” past to strangers unless he was seeking the Ghislaine Maxwell to his Jeffrey Epstein.

Your friends and family could be jealous that you don’t have to work. They’re human after all so this shouldn’t be surprising, but it’s not your problem. Maybe don’t discuss things like that with them anymore? Sometimes you gotta set boundaries with your folks. Congratulations on finding a HVM that takes care of you and your kiddo!

I can be as dorky as I want. Also, no need to feel self-conscious about looking crazy on sick or tired days!
