This seems like a really negative over-generalization. If someone takes this to heart, I can only see it damaging their confidence. Of course it's true that meeting women is a numbers game, but getting bent out of shape about that is like getting mad at the sky for being blue. It is what it is - accept it and keep doing whatever makes you happy. Truly excelling at seduction means getting to a point where people like this don't bother you anymore.

That's the point. Just talk to them. Maybe they aren't interested - but maybe some of them are.

Someone asked me that in another post. Here's what I wrote (abridged): Treat them like you would treat some girl giving you shit, or being outright rude: don't get mad at them. Laugh it off. Poke fun at yourself. Just don't take them seriously.

Are you saying that we you are blown off in front of your friends it affects you negatively? Treat them like you would treat some girl giving you shit, or being outright rude: don't get mad at them. Laugh it off. Poke fun at yourself. Just don't take them seriously. Consider it a shit test that guys give other guys. I can promise you that any guy who is a straight up asshole about you getting rejected (as in, that guy is really trying to hurt your feelings by being malicious) either has never co…

Good point. I did over-generalize.

I guess? If you've talked to 100 women, and all of them, in an unbroken line from 1 to 100, think that something very specific is wrong with you, then yeah, sure. Then again, has anyone here ever experienced that scenario? Even if you have, you could just be really unlucky. And even if you're not unlucky and you really are a huge creepazoid, you can change that about yourself. I mean, isn't Seddit all about changing yourself into the best version of you? :) After doing this stuff for whatever am…

It's just like approaching. Embrace the fear and do it. If they're so disgusted by your sexual advances that they shut you down right as you go for a kiss, who cares? That's just part of the game. Tells your friends about it, and have a laugh!

When I used to approach girls (I'm married now), it boiled down to two things 1) I will never see these girls again. 2) If they aren't interested, how does that change anything about me? e: Just read your replies below. These two principles can be applied to any "sticking points" you might have. For point one, I live in a city of around 1 million people. It's not a small town, but it's not huge by any stretch of the imagination. If I go out to the same exact bar every weekend, I'm probably never…

I have had this problem as well, and for me, it's all about changing my inner-monologue. Whenever I have a negative thought, or I'm being overly critical, I just remind myself thinking negatively is just destructive for myself as it is for anyone I'm directing my negativity at. I will, throughout the day, periodically remind myself to think positively, to not judge people, and to just chill out. Most importantly, I catch myself getting really negative when someone suggests an activity or asks me…

It really sunk in and I accepted the truth when the judge at my divorce hearing said 'I see it all the time. Soldier goes off to serve this country, and a woman leaves him at the worst time, under the worst conditions.' That just makes me fucking sick. It's terrible that what he said to you is true.

I think it's important to differentiate between a couple of variances on the up/down nod. First, there's the most friendly - the up-nod with a smile, raising of eyebrows, and direct eye contact. Second, there's the "I'm better than you" - the up-nod, no smile, no movement in facial expression, eye contact. Third, the "respectful" - down nod, no smile, no movement in facial expression, eye contact. Fourth, the "friendly neighbor" - down nod, smile, raising of eyebrows, eye contact. Fifth, the "I …

Well, that's the thing - you're putting your entire sense of self-worth into this one interaction with this one girl. I'm going to be real with you, the odds are overwhelmingly against you. Chances are, you'll give her a compliment, she'll say "thanks" and that's all that'll be made of that. But don't let that scare you away! You're a man. You don't give a shit if someone has so many hangups, they're uncomfortable with you being honest with them. Why would you waste your time with someone like t…

I think the biggest benefit of canned material for newbies is that it can grant confidence over time. For someone just starting out, not knowing what to say is a huge source of anxiety. So, it's important for these guys to use canned material, if for no other reason than to build up their confidence a bit. Once they've gotten their feet wet, had some good interactions, they'll start to find that they don't have to always use their go-to opener. They'll feel good about just "being themselves" in …

Hey man, at least you're being honest! I can promise you it'd be 100 times worse for everyone involved if you went along with it, against your own wishes. Also, I should mention that this kind of thing is only manipulative if you aren't being genuine. If you really do think that whatever a girl is insecure about makes her cool and unique, then don't worry about telling her that!
/r/seduction21/03/12 07:31 PM

You're right, that is manipulative. I think that's why cutting them loose is doing the right thing, and you shouldn't feel guilty about it. e: It just sounds to me like you have some hangups about what you really want out of this. Maybe it'd be best to really ask yourself that question, and give yourself an honest answer. And, if you find that you don't like the answer, do something about it!
/r/seduction21/03/12 07:24 PM
2

Why does cutting them loose bother you? Do you actually have feelings for some of these girls? If you do, why are you cutting them loose? If you don't have feelings for them, why would you feel bad about breaking up with them and saving them a lot of heartbreak and anguish when they find out the guy they've been dating for a year was never actually into them? What's your goal with pick-up? Are you just in it for random lays, or do you want a relationship? It sounds to me like you haven't figured…

I found your writing a little difficult to understand, so I want to make sure I'm getting the details right. From the sounds of it, you've tried contacting this girl off and on for a couple of weeks, and she's flaked multiple times, correct? If that's true, I think you should go meet other women.

This is good advice, but to add to this - if something actually is a big deal, don't be afraid to speak out. You're better off getting that stuff out in the open as soon as possible, rather than glossing over something that really bothers you.

you just need to go in it knowing you are a fantastic man/woman and that you are worth the same amount of time as others are worth of yours. From my understanding, isn't this what inner-game is all about?

"Ugh! Get your mind out of the gutter! Why do girls always do this to me!?" "You're right, we should totally not have sex tonight." Basically, this is a shit-test. What you do with a shit-test is completely play into it - this gives the subtext that you're ignoring it, and her tests don't bother you. If she says you're a player, you tell her your 12 dates last weekend said the same thing, but you don't know why. The main thing with shit-tests is, keep calm and carry on.

You're too dependent on the outcome. Don't worry about girls shooting you bad looks, or blowing you out. That shit doesn't matter. Getting blown out changes absolutely nothing about who you are, or your chances with other women in the future. No one cares if you've been rejected by someone so closed off, they can't see the awesome guy standing right in front of them. Pick-up is largely a numbers game, and the only thing you can do to fail is to sit in the corner, trapped in your own thoughts, ne…

I think the flaw is that you're probably treating these girls differently based on what you perceive them to be. Try treating a 9 as you'd treat a 7. If it doesn't work, no big deal. Just keep in mind that you're always learning throughout this entire process.

This sounds like an internal thing to me. It's not like there's some secret society of women where they rank each other as HB7, HB8, etc... and you, as a guy, have to follow some linear progression up the "rating" scale. It's in your head, man. You're holding yourself back by obsessing over shit like this. Just go talk to girls. Don't give a shit about their "rating" based on a bunch of subjective, made up bullshit. Don't think about it - just do it.

Honestly man, I wouldn't sweat it too much. You seem like a guy who is genuinely trying to study what's going on, and you probably know that flakes are all a part of the learning experience. Keep this in mind - there's no magic bullet for this problem. It's something I, and probably everyone else, has gone through at some point. Just keep number closing, and approach every day 2 setup phonecall/text as practice. As you gain more experience, you'll find they just start falling in place. Over-thin…
