Their is simply another pronoun and can indeed indicate singular (although it's use a non-gendered pronoun is somewhat new)

I always approach it from a parental standpoint: I have to raise my kids (one daughter, one son) to live in the world as it is, not as I wish it were. All the warnings to "not rob homeowners" will not stop me from locking my doors. Likewise, I'd rather encourage my children to take precautions that put them in safe(r) circumstances, than mourn my silence at their funeral.

Thanks. I'm actually a mom but I'm very pro-MRA... it pisses me off that bitches lie like this because it erodes the potential for a fair judgement in genuine cases of abuse.

https://family-law.freeadvice.com/family-law/child_custody/false-abuse-allegations.htm "according to statistics reported by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Child Protective Services (2007), there were 37,165 reported cases of abuse in their state. Out of these cases, only 3,998 were found to be valid" it's not necessarily indicative of the whole US, but it's something

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
