Exactly my thoughts. IBS is not 24/7 (in my experience) but is brought on by stress (not totally controllable) and diet (totally controllable) Something tells me he's shitting his pants every night because of his diet, and just doesn't care about how it affects his wife. Disrespectful, and totally worthy of divorce

The author makes a point to state the stereotype of a strong independent woman is a thin white well to do woman, when in reality we all look different And then uses a picture of a thin white well to do woman in the thumbnail picture 😬😂

The first red flag was talking to a guy who claims to be an INTJ lmao.... in my experience, every guy who knows about that quiz claims to be an INTJ because it's the personality type they wish they had.... any guy so over run by his emotions (that I'm sure he refuses to acknowledge) is not in fact an INTJ

I'm sorry you feel so lonely right now, I know how much that sucks, I've been in your shoes, and I know its easier to give advice than to live the experience, but if there is one thing I learned: That type of loneliness was very much connected to a fear I had of never falling in love again, and ending up alone.. whether realistic or not, it affected me a lot. What helped was answering those fears, and learning how to live my life as if I would never have another relationship with someone other t…

For me, I see it as the situation is what it is. Accept that not every space is for you, and move into one that is For example: My brother is who he is - stop trying to make him into someone he's not, and move on with my life (cut contact) An old job I had was horribly toxic - stop trying to make it better, and find another job Traffic will always be there - accept it, and stop getting annoyed by it And from that lense, it has made my life so much simpler. Either the situation is for me or it is…

I think what irks a lot of people about this message, (or at least for me) is that it promotes giving the benefit of the doubt to a complete stranger, which is stupid at best, and dangerous at worst. Never in my life has a guy acted like an ass in the initial stages, and not had him turn out to be an ass. If this company really gave a shit about their female base, they would encourage being very discriminate with who they choose to mingle with

I'm really sorry you're going through this, I know how much it sucks.. 😣 Unfortunately the only way I found to deal with it was to understand that as long as you fight back or defend yourself, your ex is getting what they want. In their eyes, bad attention is better than nothing. So, don't respond, don't defend yourself, don't discuss your situation with anyone outside a therapist or one or two very trusted individuals... if someone asks about the lies being spread about you, just say "that's no…

What's sad, is that the incel movement was started by a woman in the 90's who just wanted to create a friend environment for lonely people to openly talk about how they were feeling.. then men overtook the group, and it all went downhill from there.. This is a perfect example of why women need women only spaces

This moron can speak for himself. My dad is an electrician, and was making over $100k back in 2008. I'm sure it's way more now. He has so many people asking him to do a job, that he's booked 2 years out.

Thank you for sharing, that was pretty insightful.. I am at the point of low contact, and no contact is something I think about basically every time I see him, it is a difficult choice to have to make, but you're right, i really shouldn't have to put up with this shit

I see my brother maybe once or twice a year, and only speak to him as needed.. but as long as he has access, even if just the tiniest amount, he will use it against me. Its to the point where I don't want to celebrate holidays with them... except I do. So its get torchered by my brother, or spend holidays alone. Either way he wins

You're 100% right. He just wants me to defend myself and seem like the irrational one. The only thing he had to say to me, was really to the whole family, which was that he thought my new tattoo looked like a blob. He wanted me to respond, and look like the asshole. I did not do that, and just let it go, but it just shows the type of person he is. I wish there was a way to never have to deal with him again, but I don't now how possible that is.

My brother did the same. Straight up would beat the shit out of me, and break all of my things as a kid... today the only thing he said was that he thought my brand new tattoo looked like a blob... cool beans bro. Not sure why you had any desire to even say that since we have ZERO relationship, but cool. I just literally hate him so fucking much. I wish I could have these moments with my family without inviting him....

I would be careful with this. I've had plenty of dudes share every traumatic event they've ever gone through within the first week, and then turn around and expect me to do the same... and when I'm obviously not comfortable opening up that quickly, they try to pressure me. Narcissists have zero problems opening up, if it means it will get them closer to what they want.

I write step by step processes at a professional/corporate level. I could definitely facilitate something like that. But it would require a group collaboration, preferably with women who have already needed to get out at varying levels.

Even when I was a kid, I was repulsed by grown men describing themselves as a "big kid at heart". I would see their actual children begging their mom for something like ice cream, the mom would say no, and then the dad would start begging too.... in what universe do you think that makes you attractive?? And then so many times, if the mom complained, there would be a sea of other women telling her "BuT he's A GOoD mAn🥴"

I dont think anyone will care whether or not you have a picture, but I think your full name, city, and previous work history will be more telling than a photo. On top of that, if you are working with recruiters/head hunters, and you give them your resume, (which will have a phone number), that will go into a database and able to be accessed by hundreds of people. LinkedIn is awesome for finding a job, but you can't really be stingy with the info you put out there, or you will have a hard time co…

If your best friend was going through the same situation would you be angry with her or would you have empathy, and be proud of her for being able to see that she deserves better? It took you one shitty relationship to realize that, while it takes some people their whole lives. There is nothing wrong with looking back on a point in your life and thinking "I never want to be like that again." Its called growth. It is an immensely difficult and but oh so beautiful part of life 💛

The best thing I ever did for myself was change the way I allowed myself to speak/think about myself. Would you ever tell your friends they're ugly? No?.. so stop saying it to yourself Would you keep harping on a loved one for some dumb mistake they made? No?.. so stop doing it to yourself Would you cheer your bff up and make her feel amazing when she gets that big promotion? Yes? I agree with this. I generally prefer not to ghost, if the person hasn't done anything wrong. It rakes 2 seconds to text "I dont think we're compatible long term". I think it's to the point, while staying respectful. However, if that person has attempted to cross a boundary, or was rude for any reason... it's a ghost from me.

I think the level of frustration or anger should be in proportion to the situation. Sometimes theres good reason to be actively trying to sooth yourself - ripping paper.. But if you're getting pissed off over stupid shit, thats a red flag. I always pay attention to how people react to me making a wrong turn when driving. If you can't handle a minor inconvenience, you can't handle major ones either. Next!

Don't move in with someone if you are not in a place to want marriage. Personally, I am not against long timeframes for younger couples, but you should not be living together in the meantime. Get your own place, and be independent, that way you don't risk feeling stuck.

I'm sorry you went through that for so long, but I'm glad you were able to take your power back. I resonated with her on a low level, with her fantasies of abuse.. I think when you are abused at a young age it can be very difficult for you to separate love and abuse. Which is why I would fantasize about having a bf that would slap me.. I wasn't into bdsm, I just had a skewed image of love, and I wasn't going to break the cycle until I took responsibility of my life and changed that

I get what you're saying, and I know it sounds controversial but there is such a thing as Victim Identity, and is a response to trauma as a survival technique, and a way to never have to fully engage again. Thank you for sending those links! I have heard this before, and it is a sad reality women still have to deal with - I hope as more women get into leadership roles, this will lessen. But I do believe there are small things women can do that would set them years ahead in the workforce such as: Apply for that job you aren't sure you're qualified for (your probably are) When in a meeting, say what you know with confidence. Just wanted to add one of my own CONFIDENCE!!! But he was trusted by senior management and even got promoted.. At the time, I had no confidence at work, but I saw that, and thought shit, if he can do it, so can I. Welding can be pretty lucrative, and requires additional schooling. You couldn't just pop in one day and start to work, so personally I would have no problem dating a welder. As for the rest.. I know I am in the minority, but I think we need to stop putting so much emphasis on having a degree. As you've pointed out, it doesn't automatically come with job security, and these days you don't even have to be all that smart to get one (just cough up more dough). We need to stop looking at the degree …

Mothers who coddle their sons, is the # 1 cause of L/NVM. My mother coddled and enabled my brother (still does) his entire life. These are tactics I use all the time at work, and they're super helpful, and I'm sure if you were communicating with someone who wanted to listen, and was also focused on resolving the problem in a way that doesn't hurt you, it would work great in a relationship too..
