As one of 3 liberal daughters from Trump voting parents, who also grew up in the south - LOL okay Which gene passes down political views? None? Birth parents aren’t the highest predictor of political leaning.

Teach young boys and girls how to value relationships in general. Friendships are not lesser relationships than romantic ones. In fact, my standard of treatment is (does this man/woman I’m dating treat me as well as my friends do.) I’m both lucky and have put it a lot of work to foster these relationships. That mentality transfers to any meaningful relationship in your life.

I don’t care about how much I “spend” on looking good lol I’m doing that whether I’m dating or not. What I do care about is someone’s character. I’m a generous person, and I’ve dated a fucking miser. Never again. We are fundamentally incompatible if you bring this mentality to dating. But I really don’t care what a bunch of broke or miserly fucks do. Let them eliminate themselves from the dating pool with poor behavior.

I mean the article talks about it. “there’s also internal insecurities from a male partner to contend with, says Shuffman. According to UBS’s survey, men who are not the primary earner are less trustful of their wife’s investing and spending habits than men who are the primary earner. And more than half of non-primary-earning men say the financial arrangement causes tension in their relationship.” Additionally - being the primary breadwinner as a woman somehow still increases your household work…

I do not want kids in this lifetime but prior to making that choice (and in another timeline) I’d be 100% okay with a househusband if I had the funds. I never wanted to be dependent, I always intended to make a lot of money, even prepared to be the main money maker in a relationship with no kids. But since I don’t want kids I would require my partner have a career of some sort and bring in some amount of income, because I live to a certain standard and I can’t support that life for 2. Minimum ha…

Oh I do lol and I have for a long time. I used to bring condoms out to the bars with my friends though because they were dtupid especially in college. Also kept a Halloween candy bowl full of them in my house. Since my mid 20s i havent had to worry so much about men trying to BS their way past condoms and you get smarter with life experience, so i worry less about my friends. I’ll admit my bias because my large social circle is responsible in many ways lol. This is also why sex ed is important! …

Ain’t no condom-less sex unless we’re monogamous and can show each other freshly minted, clean, tests lmao condoms do more than prevent pregnancy.

No you don’t. She needs to communicate her boundaries and not expect people to read her mind. Or if she feels like she can’t lay down boundaries with people she calls her friends, she needs to find new friends. If she has never felt like she could do this, maybe she needs to learn to be more self assured in communicating boundaries. This has literally never been an issue in my entire 33 years and I’ve been in a sorority, and have a laaaaarge social net of women. I’ve also never had a totally ran…

Do you even understand how LLMs and AI work? Imma guess no. It is a loooooooong standing “standard” to save women and children first. AI is trained on what’s available. How many data points do you think exist that assert saving a man over a woman in a lifeboat situation. What does this say? That existing data overwhelmingly favors tha scenario. Likely from endless fiction and old real life scenarios, seeing as this isn’t really a thing in the modern day. I’ve worked on drill ships and there’s ze…

Worked on oil rigs for years, can confirm it can be pretty toxic. Most men either encourage it as a form of gatekeeping (hurr durr you gotta have thick skin to make it out here) or are too afraid of losing their fellow mens respect if they speak out against it. I think its shit men have to deal with it too however theyre not sexually harassing each other so

Wooh buddy there’s a lot to unpack here. No feminists don’t think men’s issues don’t deserve to be platformed. The problem is that men don’t platform their own issues, independently, I most often hear men speak on these issue in conversations around women’s issues. I don’t know a single feminist who wouldn’t be supportive of men having their OWN independently run, and advocated for, healthy, movements. Even here you’re not bringing up men’s issue independently because you claim they are mutually…

Totally agree with you! Even as a woman who doesn’t want kids, I’m super supportive of programs that encourage and help other women do that! I’d love to see paid PARENTAL leave (for father and mother) like the Swedes have. I’d vote for that shit immediately. I think it’s good for babies to have a parent around a lot year one. Especially if you’re breastfeeding. I’m not against people choosing to stay home but I don’t think we do enough to support women who want to do that even if it’s just for a…

I think it’s a bit disingenuous/intellectually dishonest to act like “women always worked.” It wasn’t until the 70s that 40-50% of women were gainfully employed. Prior to certain decades various industries and careers were either off limits, or openly hostile, to women. There were many jobs women were not allowed to do, careers they couldn’t pursue, and the lack of employment protections for pregnant women meant your career was likely short. Prior to the 70s most women left the workforce after m…

Have you figured that out? I’m 33 and I feel like I’m finally understanding myself, what brings me fulfillment, what fill my cup, what I want to prioritize etc. and it’s taken trial and error to get there. Beyond that I’m not saying you can’t date or pursue a long term loving relationship WHILE you’re also growing! The best relationships are ones that grow WITH you and encourage you to be you best self. But you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if your only and biggest goal in life is ge…

I’m asking though what percent of women who are married with kids and work would rather be SAHMs but can’t because of economics? It’s not like it’s just money, there are many other reasons to want to have your own “life” and fulfillment outside of being a parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 07:12 PM
12

They have no choice? Then why do 1/4 of all families still have a SAHM? (And that percent is increasing) You think the other 3/4 all want to but can’t? Im sure there’s a percentage there but I doubt it’s 50% or more of the remainder.

Because in the last few decades women have gained economic freedoms they didn’t have easy access to before. Higher education. Higher paying, and higher skilled jobs across all industries. With our new economic and social freedoms, women don’t need to get married and have kids in their early 20s. We have time to pursue our own interests and lives without the addition of caring for a family, before we decide if that’s what we even want. Additionally - even in 2 income households, women continue to…

Girl you are 22 what’s the rush? Your only goal in life shouldn’t be to get married. Your ability to get married says nothing about you as a person, it’s not like an achievement. You shouldn’t be trying to make yourself someone else’s wife material, you should be focusing on learning who you are, what makes you happy, what drives you, what your passions are, and creating a life that you find fulfilling.

I see. I’m not sure that’s true. I will say it seems like it’s becoming a more common sentiment though. I think OLD has burned a lot of people so we’re looking for more organic connections. I’m trying to put myself in the position where I’d have to choose between dating a guy who I met via like the meetup group I’m active in or a stranger from Hinge, I’m still pretty firmly in the “well I’d pick whoever I click the most with” which would require me to go on dates with both lol It’s an interestin…

I’m sorry how does having a friend group equate to being a lone wolf?? Just because they’re all one gender?? Your definitions are interesting But also I kinda don’t trust men who have no platonic lady friends. I have guy friends, I live with one of my best guy friends (and his gf is one of my best friends lol). I have a very blended and healthy friend group. “Do some research” what research have you done? Do you work on skincare formulation? Have you consulted with a professional like a dermatologist? I have a friend who is a formulation chemist, worked to develop skincare products at one point. Many products are snake oil, but plenty are not and do not have harsh chemicals. My mom has always loved it because his feet are nicer for it. Pedicures for all! Using a tanning bed is just irresponsible for your health so I’d definitely be bothered by it. Potentially a deal breaker. That’s another one that seems to tie itself to a certain personality. I wouldn’t say I’m a skincare addict but sunscreen is part of my daily routine lol so I’m not sure we’d be aligned on long term life values. Plastic surgery and Botox - depends. I am being clear. It can be both. People who take PEDs for the gym aren’t the exact same as a regular gym bro. In my experience. I also don’t want to date gym bros. I don’t care for the lifestyle competitive/physique lifting entails. Testosterone for contraception or for hormone replacement for aging (fun fact T also helps women in menopause) is not the same as taking it to make big muscles. It’s a vanity thing. Don’t care for it in that case either. But if you’re taking T becauee you have low T…

Steroids/PEDS aren’t exactly easy on the body especially long term. It’s a substance/drug. I don’t need a ton of reasons beyond I don’t like it and the lifestyle it indicates. Do you think everyone who goes to the gym does it because they are insecure about their looks or it’s all superficial? Girl please look in to weight lifting and how much it benefits women!! Idgaf about losing weight being skinny etc but I do care about the fact women’s bone density drops like crazy after 30 and the only real fix is lifting (no you don’t have to power lift or even lift super heavy, but putting that strain on your bones and muscles makes them stronger!) They are socially and psychologically different arguments. One is about a power dynamic and again potential grooming. The other you think the gays getting married ruins the sanctity of marriage. I never said all age gap relationships are bad for society, don’t make up arguments for me. But I do look at significant age gap relationships with a critical eye (at a certain age). Free speech is free speech brother. I don’t have to like it or associate with those people. But they’re certainly allowed to be hateful. I find this to be a really odd and frankly faulty comparison. Because yall keep using it with the premise of just being against a relationship. Being homophobic is different, categorically, than having concerns of manipulation/power dynamics/potential grooming. MLMs and pyramid schemes. People rail against that all the time. And it’s definitely something more women get swindled by. Also young adult men and women are being taken advantage of with student loans I wouldn’t consider that a women’s issue specifically. Men tend to fall for “romance” scams. Women do too but typically those scams are targeted at men. Sure did experiencing that not affect you mentally? If not I’m impressed! I’m not saying you’d post it on tiktok but traumatized people don’t always make logical decisions. And again hers was a very bad and maybe even borderline illegal choice that absolutely hurts her case in court. Even if the guy is a sex offender creep. Her eyeballs could see it without zoom though and that’s the point you dip Jesus Christ you’re obnoxious. Indecent exposure charges can happen if you’re naked in front of your windows! Much less naked with your door open which kinda throws expectation of privacy out the window!

If your door is wide open and you are in plain view it is no longer private so let me rephrase If you pass out drunk with your dick out on your living room floor or couch, with your front door open, genitals easily seen without entering the home. You could be charged for indecent exposure. Hope that helps

LOL the cops are famed for dealing with victims of sexual violence. So if they disagree with her, case closed! If you’re drunk as a skunk and piss in public. Still indecent exposure. Still criminal. You’re wrong. A drunk person can also be convicted of rape! So idk where you found this argument. Probably the recycling bin of the TRP

Depends on the law. Indecent exposure can be considered sexual assault. It is at the very least a sex offense or sexual violence. But it can absolutely be classified as a form of sexual assault. Legally, sexual assault can happen without touching. If you nonconsenually force someone to watch you jerk off that can be SA. Forcing someone to watch porn is sexual assault in a court of law. Indecent exposure is a crime and considered sexual harassment The woman in question used the wrong word, okay fine. It’s still sex pest behavior. It’s still harassment. It’s still indecent exposure. It’s still a crime.

Semantics. Sexual harassment and indecent exposure can still land you on the sex offender list. Yes it would still be sexual harassment and indecent exposure if the exposed person had tits instead of a duck Make up scenarios to be mad about and use as whataboutism, A+

Of course there’s some folks who have experienced more of it than others but it is still a part of life. I still do not see an accusation of sexual assault here. I see someone who is saying “we can all see your bulge” You’re really reaching here OP Do you even lift? Lmao I feel like you’ve never been to a weight lifting gym in your life

Has it never occurred to you that most people who go to the gym aren’t staring at their fellow gym goers? I’m a horny bisexual who thinks women are better looking than men on average and I ain’t staring at them in the gym. I’ve also seen plentyyyyy of men in slutty tight shorts. I can’t imagine it’s super comfy if it’s tight on your junk but I’m not “distracted” by someone’s dick print. I’m too busy lifting weights. Or if I’m even stealing glances I’m looking at your arm and thigh muscles 🤣 whic…

The autism may be part of the root cause (not understanding social norms or boundaries) but you’re right it isn’t “to blame.” The person I met blamed their autism not me lol I think that shit is a cop out and I definitely don’t mean to paint with broad brush saying all autists are creeps because of autism. Not my intention here My point is more that: it’s not deterministic. Just because you are autistic, doesn’t mean you have to behave poorly or in ways that bring people discomfort or harms them…

I recently had an interaction with a man who blamed his boundary stomping and rudeness on autism. I think y’all don’t quite know what threatening means. He kept touching me even after I moved away and said I didn’t want to be touched. He wasn’t being a literal menacing cartoon villain, but someone who whines when you ask them to stop doing something that physically makes you uneasy IS threatening. I know plenty of well adjusted autistic dudes in relationships and many are my close friends. The w…

Aight we’re moving the goal posts now lol Are you sure using Kurt cobain as an example here works in your favor?? Isn’t the story that he took advantage of someone with Down’s syndrome? Wtf kind of example is that? Exploitative relationships aren’t good ones dude. “I don’t need to mask” okay buddy. Everyone masks to a degree. Even NT people because when your environment or audience changes, you have to work with that. Or maybe that’s just a life skill I’ve garnered. I have my people who I don’t …

My mom had me at 38. She lifted weights until her 60s when an injury made her stop. Her activity levels never showed her age. And she only started lifting in her 30s! She also worked out throughout her pregnancy. If you take care of your body, you’re better off for longer. This includes fertility and pregnancy.

I’m well aware disabilities exist on a spectrum. Seeing as I’m professionally (not tiktok) DX’d AUDHD and have been for over a decade. I’ve been to a lot of behavioral therapy in my life even before my DX! It fucking helped. So did the immense pressure of not being a weird girl. I’ve now found a balance as An adult. And as far as my adhd goes my evaluating psych made me take the test twice because I scored so poorly he thought I was faking. I deal with this as a disability, it has a major affect…

“A woman who is attractive enough the flaws won’t be a deterrent” We’ve come full circle. This is the same shit yall be sayin about Chad 💀💀💀 hot guys get away with anything because they’re hot LOL I’m sorry this is deliciously ironic. Just be hot and autistic bro
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 12:01 AM

I’m failing to see how this even disputes my point about how young girls are socialized and how women are more likely to care and cater to social norms. It kinda supports it lol Those autistic girls were socialized from a young age to behave “right”. Boys will be boys but girls just mature faster! Lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 11:59 PM

I’m sorry I don’t understand your point here about women able to mask because men ask them out? Autism doesn’t just affect dating lol it affects your whole existence. And what do you disagree with? That autistic folk can’t learn to behave differently??
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:59 PM

There’s research addressing this. Granted it’s new because for a long time autism (and may other diagnoses) were based on almost exclusively male presentations. But there is some data to validate the idea that how young girls are socialized leads to higher levels of masking/camouflage. I’ll include some links below. Anecdotally, as someone diagnosed with AuDHD (both later in life and by professionals not tiktok lol) I do believe socialization plays a part. “Boys will be boys” mentality. Young bo…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:57 PM

I mean, autism affects your personality no? It’s also not a death sentence. If women can learn to mask at a high level, so can men. Anyone can if they want to, try to, and have something to model behavior off of. This includes empathy which can be learned!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:37 PM

There’s actually studies on how autistic women are socialized more to mask and therefore integrate better in to society. Women are better at hiding their autism, because of how we’re socialized. So idk if I agree with your statement. If men were socialized the same way as women in regards to social behavior or sought help that focused on the same - and they put in the effort - I’m sure they’d be able to hide it better

That’s a very generous example you’re using. Compared to some of my experience with men who blame their weird to inappropriate behavior on autism. And the examples differ here in that someone being a people pleaser and struggling to say no harms them. Someone touching you and invading your physical space because “they have autism” is harming someone else. There’s harmless behaviors and then there’s less than harmless ones. When it’s the latter, autism still isn’t an excuse. And why is it mostly …

“Why does it require a different subset” because that’s how you dig deeper and get more targeted vs generalized results. So if my question is: do women who pull in a substantial income still expect men to be financial providers - that can’t be answered by the pew study. Because it’s just generalized. I looked and didn’t see a delineation by income and expectations. That would be insightful data. It doesn’t contradict my claim as I was speaking specifically to women, not men and women. Sorry that…

Interestingly your data shows: - men place equal to higher importance on men being providers to be good partners as education and household income increases, this becomes less important While I don’t disagree there’s a general social more that persists about men being financial providers - I’m not convinced that women who want partners of equal to higher income want PROVIDERS. So if they’re working themselves to the bone - how much time does that give them to spend with their wife and family? I’ve been a workaholic and I’ve been with a workaholic. When your partner is always working or stressed or preoccupied and doesn’t put effort in to the relationship (be that quality time which is free all the way up to actively planning dates/outings, gifts etc.) how can you (royal you) expect intimacy?

I guess I’ve yet to meet basically anyone in life who wouldn’t benefit from even a little therapy. Especially men haha. I do think it’s kinda weird to talk about therapy on your dating profile tbh. It always comes off as performative. So even as someone who is a big proponent of therapy, I don’t want to put that on my profile or read it on someone else’s. Maybe they do mention it because they’re trying to weed out anti therapy men? Idk though.

There’s no double standard, because being in therapy doesn’t mean the problems go away 100% or forever. Nor does it mean someone has to be willing to be with you if you have certain behaviors. As someone who’s done a looot of therapy - it doesn’t always eradicate the issue. Maybe you’ve gone from raising your voice 90% of the time to 20%, and that’s amazing progress! Even if you never get it to 0% that’s a monumental change. But some people can’t even deal with that 20%. I’m also NOT calling you…

There is no amount of money that would make me want to date someone I found physically unattractive. Nor for a disability (though not all physical disabilities would be a dealbreaker anyway.) Is that what I wrote? Mmmm nope I think your reading comprehension skills need some work or you’re trolling. In case it needs to be said: the world does not exist in false dichotomies. I doubt your whataboutism and beyond that they’re not the same situation. A kissless virgin at 25-30+ is far far far weirder than an older woman getting less attention. The former is an extreme outlier. And if they get upset being told to center something other than men in their lives, that’s their problem. Am I supposed to police their behavior? I’m not even sure the zone of irrelevance exists. All the older women I’ve known via my parents who were either divorced or widowed either had no probl…

That’s a wild comparison lol. Insinuating there’s some sort of addiction component here? Weird as hell Idk dude maybe because they’re friends?? Maybe there was a party and it’s safer/easier to sleep on a spare room? Maybe the friend lives far away. God forbid you go camping with opposite sex friends too right? lol yall are sheltered as hell. Mmmm if men were just neutral or “not valued” then being involved with them wouldn’t inherently make you tainted. The mindsets OP described are absolutely not neutral. They are categorically negative.

Yeah war is extreme haha, your suggestion is a better comparison! Humans are actually really bad at knowing what will make them happy. I know I read it somewhere but it’s so bad that we can’t really predict what will make us happy a year from now, much less a decade. Obviously a lot of people are mean and ugly about it but I think saying “learn to be happy solo” means living your life with the absence of even the pursuit of that thing. What would your life be like with the absence of this. Have …

Why? Because you don’t trust them? What if your partner is bi? Now they can’t sleep over at same sex friends houses either? In the end it is insecurity. Cheaters gunna cheat no matter what restrictions you try to place

I’m trying to think of a good comparison here like do you think one needs to experience the trauma of going to war to understand it’s bad? But that feels too extreme. Again, I see OP calls out that extreme end “kissless virgins” but I responses to the post in regards to the specific and broad subject. It’s going to sound harsh but I think if you haven’t had any intimacy in decades of your life, you do need to be told it’s a you problem. I have never met a well adjusted, normal, desirable person …

I, again, am not unfamiliar with the concept of kissless virgins. I’ve been hearing about this small subset of people since the early days of incels. OP mentioned those people, however, their post still read pretty broad overall. Further. I don’t think it’s BAD advice to tell those folks to learn to be happy single. I also do not think it’s wrong to say if you’ve had zero intimacy for multiple decades of life it is a YOU issue. Again this subset of people is statistically tiny. Though likely ver…

Honestly yeah. Outside of some very extreme outliers or asexual people (who wouldn’t be complaining lol) it is weird and it’s very likely a you problem. The % of men who are “kissless virgins” is extremely small in reality, and there have always been people who were just…not desirable. I think most of that can be fixed/helped to some extent though
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 11:05 PM

How much being single affects you (general you) can be weird though. I was mostly answering the idea of being open about relationship history. And MOST men are not in the “kissless Virgin” territory. I even said that idk what to tell that subset of men. But I know men who are as single as I have been who also act like it’s the end of the world. Which is ridiculous.

I not only think being single is perfectly fine, but I enjoy it as much as (if not sometimes more than) being in a relationship. AMA! Lol I don’t count anything before turning 18 because idk high school dating feels unserious but I did have 2 “relationships” in HS. But I was single most of that time. 35 and 57 isn’t that big of a deal, even if it was a man who was older imo. Once someone is 25 I kinda don’t care anymore. It might still give me the ick depending on the age gap, but I think it’s unlikely to be predatory per se. Past 30? Not weird in anyway. 30 feels like the sweet spot for maturity for everyone.

Nothing about being a woman in the past sounds like it was more appealing. I’d never give up my high earning career to be a kept woman. I wouldn’t step in to the past for millions of dollars. Less freedom doesn’t mean your life is easier. Or else women wouldn’t have fought for the rights we have now. So to answer your question, personally, being someone who HAD to rely on a man for a good life doesn’t sound easier. It sound so much worse.

I take issue with your false dilemma. Lots of entertaining men aren’t “chads” or PUAs. Lol well y’all whine so much about the average woman and her tastes i suppose that’s some sort of backwards compliment then 🤣🤣

I think a lot of women still want a life partner, but I think the importance of finding one has overall lessened. (Unless you want to have kids). The zeitgeist has changed. My parents, rare chill boomers, raised me to be independent, self reliant, and to never depend on a man for money or happiness. At the same time…my mom doesn’t quite understand how I can also be happy and fulfilled without a relationship. Especially teenagers lol you’re still young and learning life. I think a lot of times the oversharers are just seeking advice or input. It could just be a social observation? Idk. One of my favorite teachers in HS was a man. I broke down crying in class one day over a breakup, he took me outside the classroom, let me cry a bit, gave me a stiff one armed hug and talked to me about it for a few minutes. He made me feel better. And he also let me skip class to go to the guidance counselor. I was also at an all girls school so maybe the teachers were exposed to our lives in a different way. I’ll be clear that I’m speaking on western American feminists movements. I wouldn’t say that an Israeli group speaks for American western feminism. Lololol the irony of saying that in this sub Sure man. Idgaf. I’m a firm believer in therapy and helping yourself. But at the end of the day both can and should perhaps go to therapy ✨✨

lol not throwing around ableist with someone who’s got the tism 😂 it has never been and never will be ableist to hold people accountable for their behavior. No it’s just that women’s compliments and attention don’t come with hidden strings attached. I’ve complimented so many other women (in a strictly platonic way not trying to hit on them) in my life and the reaction is always the same. Genuine joy at a compliment that doesn’t seem to come from being leered at.

Once again, attractiveness is subjective. I see, what I would consider, mismatched by looks couples, all the time. And that’s the problem. I’d consider them mismatched. But maybe my other friend wouldn’t. Because it’s subjective. Why would I listen to what some AI has to say about my looks/looksmatch? /r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 10:00 PM

You’re basically saying the same thing with different words. You can’t make people “manage their expectations” when it comes to something as subjective as attractiveness. Besides who would even use this AI by choice?? Definitely not anyone with delusional self confidence, they’re not usually looking for external validation
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 09:45 PM

You can’t force people to find other people attractive, not even by trying to knock their own confidence. Maybe you’d be better off developing some of that delulu self confidence instead of trying to affect other people
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 09:39 PM

Attractiveness isn’t objective. And I don’t think you understand how AIs work. Also who cares if people are delulu and confident? Let them live lol your desire to take people down a peg says more about you than anyone else.
