Someone I know is a customer service representative for a bank, the kind who works from a call center. She said she’s seen the accounts of customers, usually men, who have overdrawn their accounts because of only fans. So who knows? They could be broke, but it probably doesn’t stop them from purchasing a subscription.

Unattractive and slobby guys will always be the ones telling women with standards that they’re high maintenance.

Respectfully, you sound like the very men this sub warns against. Not saying you are one, just saying with how you minimize the other person’s perspective with saying she has an attitude, you sound like them.

I want to see if saying it’s satire - even though it isn’t - will stop people from taking charlatans like this seriously since pointing out why bs like this is problematic doesn’t work for everyone.

As others stated it’s about money. Also the ones who are college educated aren’t going to advertise their services on Craigslist or whatever dubious site or walk the streets. They’re likely to end up as escorts with wealthy clients.

Hell, even I’m not, but I’m a good writer. I’m not trying to trash people who need help in these areas and pay people to help them improve. I’ve utilized such services myself. As for celebrities like Beyoncé, I doubt it matters for them.

Not going to comment on the other stuff since it’s rumors at this point. “your public speaking skills is a way of assessing someone’s intelligence” Maybe it’s because I live in a region where highly educated professionals pay consultants to help them improve in areas of public speaking and interviewing, but I don’t see it. It could also be because I do remember a time in which Beyoncé did do interviews and she didn’t sound any better or worse than the next celebrity.

My first thought was at least he’s self-aware. My second thought was holy hell, the bar is low.

Even though love is the ideal, I notice it factors very little into marriages in the cultures where it’s espoused. Either that or these guys have a messed up idea of what love is.

I noticed you moved the goal post from not being able to speak without written aid to not speaking with “emotion or conviction.” Which one is it? Again, I maintain the fact that someone being a good public speaker on its own isn’t indication of anything other than they are a good public speaker.

“ reading off a card because she can’t articulate herself well on her own.” Lots of educated people do that. Not being able to express an idea/feeling on the spot isn’t an indication of education levels or less intelligence.

Globally not so much. I remember her being way more famous in the 2000s, but it wasn’t necessarily due to her work. Chadwick Boseman did more than Black Panther. Before playing Black Panther he was in the movies 42, Gods of Egypt, and Get on Up among others. It’s a shame he only got his big break within the past 8 years because he was so talented.

Desi is a short hand term for South Asian (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). It’s about geography irrespective of religion.

What’s the problem? Isn’t that what you’re advocating? A woman should still provide for herself financially even in marriage so by extension you’d still have surplus. I’m going off the assumption that you have a high income and you live within your means.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
