Settling is derided because the implication is that one or both parties are not happy with the person they have settled with. This ends with one or both being bitter later on.

LOL alright this got me

I dunno about that, if you were to line up all the incel school shooters you would see a very disturbing pattern in most. 20 something,White, dorky, bland haircut/bowl cut , square glasses, unremarkable/near unattractive face, skinny fat. They almost look like clones. There are some outliers but it’s spooky how similar they look.

Giving someone a straight answer in terms of rejection is fine but I find too many relish in brutally putting someone beneath them in their place. People can turn down advances without purposely crushing the individual for no reason other than an ego stroke..” I don’t owe you anything” doesn’t excuse being a self centered cunt to people.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/22 03:28 AM

This person is attracted to the lifestyle you could provide them. They are not attracted to you, they could very well be physically repulsed by you completely. This isn’t exactly uncommon
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 04:31 PM

That spark is a two way street though. Dead bed rooms aren’t just caused by men. Let’s be even with this.

Lol because they wanted what was in your bank account. Come on..
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 01:37 PM

this It even goes beyond romantic/sexual interactions. People in general are going to treat an attractive person better because they have a “ pleasant aura”. A fat person who has lost weight easily sees this 180 change up close and personal. It’s jarring and fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 01:31 PM

Hah! Get fucked! I’m 5’2, brown guy who levitates on a cloud of confidence and a fat COCK, I own all the rooms and get all the ladies! What’s your excuse!!!!

Literally the point I’m making. Read around this thread if not this sub. The “ she only cares about personality “ crap is all over the place. It’s insulting in how glib it is.

Oh for the love of god.. alright. We are in a time where women want so badly to have equality right? So why is it that we have this notion that women are these angelic creatures that are so morally superior as to only care about “ personality “ and a kind heart blah blah blah… give me a break. Women, lie, cheat, steal, murder, feel jealousy, can be petty, can be shallow. They have the capability of being just as shallow as men. Women are human they aren’t angels. Why is it so out of the bounds of…

What’s your point? It doesn’t dispute the fact that some 5’2 guy who isn’t a rockstar and is just average Joe on the street looks strange and unattractive. There has to be some kind of realism in all this. Platitudes are so absolutely ridiculous. Sure, obviously guys that small aren’t all these internet incels. However to say that a guy that small is physically attractive is frankly ridiculous. I’m that size, I have a mirror, I’ve seen other men my size.. I can look at a guy that size and see wi…

Lol, prince was a musical fucking genius… your average 5’2 schmoe is not a musical genius. He’s just some dude who is the size of a small child and looks ridiculous.

Exactly, even if a guy starts lifting for women it always progresses into lifting for himself. It becomes a game you can never win but you always want to keep playing. Whether women like it or not becomes a very unimportant factor once the progression bug bites you.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/22 07:55 PM
1

Or you can not look like a twink ? Or if that’s what you are into sure I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/22 07:54 PM
2

People always use the looking like a barrel excuse for short guys not lifting. In order to get that big you have to dedicate your life to lifting seriously. Nobody curls for 5 min and becomes a meatball. Having a toned body with a bit of muscle will always look better than looking like an 8th grader or a dumpy fat body if you are a short guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/22 07:53 PM
1

I think the point he’s making is that if you aren’t on the “chadly scale” or on the “ average looks zone” you are in fact ugly by default.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/22 07:47 PM

The women who are into that type are crammed into the Northeastern coast of the US.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/22 07:44 PM

If someone is always the butt of the joke they have become the pushover and punching bag that is free game because “ what the fuck are they going to do about it”. Nobody wants to be that person.

There is a big difference between taking banter in stride and being one of those pathetic people who are such a people pleaser that they would help humiliate themselves in order to be “ one of the good ones”. If you have ever known a fat or short guy who constantly shits all over himself for a laugh you know it makes everyone around you uncomfortable.

You would be surprised the women I have messed with who either didn’t do the first or the other and it was extremely off putting

The absolutes are always incorrect. It tells the difference between the shut ins who try to figure out humans with numerical equations and people who let oxygen from outside their basement touch their bodies. However, it’s not always totally off base.

Lol it’s funny scrolling through this thread seeing 5’6 as the bottom floor for what is considered short. I’m a fucking mutant at 5’2.

Incredibly picky if they can afford to be, let me tell you about all the low class men from poor upbringings who marry the first women who can tolerate them. Welcome to the typical enlisted military man.

Sure, though it sucks that this guy as near perfect as he is could have been tossed away for the slightest of missteps because he had one single major thing to overcome. I keep using the term “ tightrope” because it’s the closest thing I can think of. The line that a small man has to walk versus someone who is considered physically acceptable. The minute a short guy doesn’t fit that perfect mold he’s just proven every negetive stereotype that’s been expected of him. This can also be applied to a…

That just sounds fucking sad.. fat guy who’s a religious nut and he only wants dull missionary fucks once a month.. yeah sounds like a fun time. “ but there is more to sex in a relationship “ Yeah sure..but without any passion whatsoever in your relationship it’s hard for me not to think of it as a roommate you may or may not tolerate.. just so.. sterile.. yeah that’s the best way to envision it. Just cold, lifeless and sterile.

See this is both shitty and worrying for very short men. You could be thinking everything is perfect, you click no worries. In reality she is trying to find validation not to be embarrassed of your diminutive body in public. That shit is rough.

Dehydrated is very specific lol
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 05:12 PM

Answer this honestly though, the minute he showed vulnerability as all humans do because they are only human, would they attraction immediately be lost due to him being both vulnerable and tiny? I ask this because there is always a caveat ( must be iron clad confident). Nobody is confident and perfect 24/7. It always comes across as these little men having to walk a tight rope of perfection that larger more attractive men don’t have to.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 04:54 PM
2

The ultimate point I was making was that if I’m with someone who feels that they are doing me a favor by just being with me then I’d rather not be in that relationship at all. There should be mutual attraction, not someone walking on a tight rope.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 04:52 PM

I’ve never understood the obsession with them not wearing heals.. dude you are 5’4… feel lucky someone found you attractive enough to date at all. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/22 01:32 PM
1

You are correct on some of this BUT.. asking a guy who has mostly likely has been tortured about how much of a wimp, midget, pussy, dwarf etc etc their entire life on top of most women finding him physically repulsive before his mouth even opened is not going to make for a positive attitude towards their own body.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 01:41 PM
1

Equally off putting: people who throw out platitudes “ just b confident” and all the copy paste nonsense that Reddit is chock full of. 5’3 is significant, it’s not normal it’s not just a little short. He’s the size of a child. Acting as if it’s not a real impediment to attraction is being willfully ignorant and insulting to any short guy that size who has grinded his ass off to offset how unattractive being that short is.

Ehh I’d say it’s more micro than macro.. your average dude doesn’t give a fuck about the wider statistics.. what he does give a fuck about is his buddies having a lot of attention and interest while he gets snubbed/ignored. He’s wondering wtf is wrong with him? Why is he defective.

People love using “ introvert” instead of using severe social anxiety and being pathetically awkward. Plenty of introverts are able to socialize, they just need time to recharge their batteries after. Introvert does not and never has meant the kid who lives in his mommies basement afraid of humans.

Hmm this I will agree with for a large chunk of of young men today.. however the example id like to use that counters this but perhaps is an exception is Wilkes Mcdermid, Asian guy, not the best looking and was described as very friendly and outgoing. The guy was not a basement dwelling asocial weirdo he was just.. unattractive. Dude ended up throwing himself off an 80ft rooftop…

Sure, 18th airborne corps units like to do twice a days… of the typical Army PT ran by an NCO who has zero idea what he’s doing. Big Army PT is crap.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 05:42 PM
1

Lol no it is NOT! Muscles are an individual thing. The guy who goes to the gym after work is the guy with muscle. The young enlisted guy who relies on unit PT to “ get jacked” is going to look like your average frumpy skinny fat kid who can run somewhat fast. Your average non lifting soldier looks like hot garbage

I say the inverse is also true, looks can and will color certain personality traits as positive or negative. A quirk in an attractive person is repugnant in someone who is ugly. I keep bringing up halo effect because it’s so visceral in how easy it is to see in action for certain people. A former obese person will have seen it for themselves the most. The change in how humans perceive you is jarring. You never changed who you were, you changed how much jiggly matter was attached to your body.

I don’t think it would change as much as you would think. I’m old enough to remember a time before social media. There has always been divides between people. There was always the popular attractive, socially adept and the basement dwelling weirdos. It’s just now been brought to the forefront because of social media
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 02:27 PM

Short guy is a pretty wide spectrum that people tend not to take into account. 5’6-5’8 guy is literally to me a normal human being. Not tall but not shockingly short. I’m 5’2, the word freak is not out of the bounds of description.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 01:38 PM

I know 5’0 guy that had sex with 120 women with just his confidence and owning rooms etc etc… god I can feel the cranial pressure rising from my immense cringe when people either embellish or make this person up.. can we not do that?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 01:36 PM

There is a ruffle in the feather of this example.. because of the halo effect, confidence in one person comes off as disgusting unearned arrogance in another.

Well then there is the fear that I believe both genders have, nobody wants to be settled for or done a favor. I’d be horrified to know somewhere down the line that my significant other never was physically attracted to me. I’ve had that happen and it’s a betrayal and insult all in one. To me that’s a baseline requirement, I’m not going to waste a woman’s time and try to learn to be attracted to them.. to me that’s just cruel.

It’s stupid advice, yes your entire existence shouldn’t be devoted to relationships obviously but thinking sitting back and waiting for it to “ happen” is a good way to find yourself wondering how the years went by. Blue pill, red pill, black pill, plaid pill.. doesn’t matter.. if there is any advice that should be followed it’s that inaction as a man is a great way to fail. That can pretty much be applied to most things. Women put this advice out to really no fault of their own, they can only b…

That’s a bit too far imo. It doesn’t take a gross incel to tell you being attractive, and unfortunately white in the west is an advantage. That pesky halo effect in action

/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 06:51 PM

Frankly I think people don’t want to admit that someone who presents as a loser should know their place and remain an unattractive loser. If you don’t “ naturally” get it then you shouldn’t be part of the dating game. Nobody wants to say that out loud of course. It’s like seeing an ugly personality acting extremely confident.. it just looks wrong..
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 06:48 PM
54

Tbf a lot of what women consider advice is “ be confident” “ just be yourself” and the worst one of all “ wait until someone just comes along”. It’s both extremely vague and simplistic but the last one will have some poor sap ending up a 45 year old virgin wondering wtf happened. An average dude cannot afford to be passive. It’s such horrendous advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 06:29 PM
2

I dunno I can only speak for my own experiences, a lot of my dating was pre Tinder and a lot of OLD in general. I will say location and race was a factor, moving to a predominantly white area as a short Hispanic was brutal in terms of prospects. Everyone is giant up north and the preferences followed that. If I was more say 5’6 ( within the realms of normal if still short) I believe it wouldn’t have been as brutal, but being shorter than most women I came across was a massive negative.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 05:32 PM
1

I think there is an assumption that a woman willing to tolerate a short man is going to be a great person overall. That is false, it doesn’t make you a saint to be ok with short height. The same personality deficiencies that you run into with any other woman is still very much in play. Believe me I know it intimately. The difference is I couldn’t just break it off and find another, which in my youth caused me to tolerate a lot of bullshit I should have never put up with.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:32 PM
1

Sure, won’t argue there but with less options comes the danger of settling for someone that turns out to be extremely toxic because of lack of options or unwillingness to cut someone off for the exact same reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:16 PM
1

I disagree, you don’t build a fire without fuel, people who are sure of themselves and have healthy self esteem have either had a very positive upbringing with success growing up, or have succeeded in things that solidified the idea that they are worth something and can achieve/be loved. You aren’t going to get any of that if you are told you are trash from day one and a failure. Just like I wouldn’t expect an abuse victim to be lollipops and rainbows. Tell someone enough times they are garbage …

Because while not a hive mind obviously there are enough patterns of what many women find attractive or I should say find blatantly unattractive that it can’t be discounted. Of course not every woman has the same likes and dislikes, same as your average man. However there are things that tend to play out the same on average. Height is the usual across the board shared requirement to varying degrees. It’s so utterly common.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 10:06 AM
2

Ehh I’ll have to defend the guy on this one. In my 20s bar hopping with my buddies you would always easily see human interactions play out if even by accident. Usually the long walk of a guy trying to approach a woman at the bar was of great entertainment if I’m being honest.

Depends really, where they were raised, where they are living. What’s the norm. A Hispanic woman raised in say upstate NY around tall white guys may have very different preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 07:29 PM
1

I didn’t argue that just confirming what you said. Hispanic women tend to have short fathers, short brothers, short men are normalized. We don’t look like defective freaks
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 07:22 PM
2

It’s on the money, I’m Hispanic and a large percentage of my success has been with other Hispanics, white women, black women and imo Asian women have never ever ever been receptive to how extreme my height has been. Now that’s not to say that I haven’t dated white women but the physical spark was never there and it always came out later… 5’2 is like throwing salt directly to the vagina area.

No no let them circle jerk about the 5’2 dynamo that fires his dick like a minigun at all the ladies!

Love how advice always comes across as a fucking complicated circular flowchart that nearly contradicts itself for an unattractive guy.. when we all know that socially awkward ( but admittedly lovable ) friend who almost stumbles into women successfully because he’s just damn good looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 06:10 PM

Sounds great, not even being sarcastic. Unfortunately I have had family members and friends who have taken their own lives.. it was always out of the blue at the time but always had signs in hindsight that could have been seen. Nobody cared enough to ask and that’s the shittiest part

Lol oh boy lemme guess you are a white girl raised in a very non violent environment. Anybody who has ever grown up in a shitty area as a guy knows that having a penis does not mean you are some badass that isn’t going to get curbed stomped by someone at night or jumped by multiple. I have personally had the pleasure of being jumped, there was nothing and I mean NOTHING I could do to stop that. Real life isn’t a king fu movie.

This all comes down to cultural norms and expectations. It’s drilled into our heads as boys that weakness is unacceptable. No ands ifs or buts. You suck it the fuck up. To be mentally defective is to be shamed. Sure media openly speaks about it being ok for men to seek mental help/medication but personally I think it’s all just politically correct talk. The culture is still very much cemented with men having to always be strong and that “therapy” is limp wristed weakness. This is especially comm…

I’d say it’s a fair point… when you fail as a man there is nobody to catch you. You are expected to man the fuck up and carry your own burdens, quietly and stoically. If you can’t? Well a lot of Middle age men answer that question with carbon monoxide, ropes and bullets. For an accomplished male the highs are very high, that’s not to be argued but if you aren’t? The lows are absolutely rock bottom and you will be looked at with scorn. Many men tend to forget that you are only a few paychecks awa…

I read this and thought this only applies if you are an average to larger guy.. if you are a small guy this all goes straight out the window on top of the fact that nobody will ever intercede to save your ass. You are on your own and you are going to get your ass beat into the ER while people mind their business or world star hip hop film it.

I think it’s not so much being alone as a choice it’s knowing that you are alone because nobody wants your ass. Two different situations. One is something you chose because you don’t feel like being committed right now and maybe you want to concentrate on other things. The other is because you fucking suck. I imagine the 2nd one would be pretty painful

The premise is a bit stupid, personally I’d rather have nothing at all then be settled for. Have someone not be physically attracted to me at all. I’d say it matters in stages if I’m being honest. You can be the best person in the world but you are getting blown off before you open your mouth if you look like a foot. A gorgeous man may get the initial ok and then literally talk his way out of a date because he’s a fuck head. And I’ll concede that the same thing has happened with me personally with women. Not going to argue about the last part however confidence is usually a byproduct not something you just do. If someone is confident in themselves it’s because they have earned a reason to be, a lot of what is down to short boys growing up very harshly stops that from developing.

It would be different if the preference was a bit more sporadic. A 6ft woman will not be some mens cup of tea for instance, but there are many men who would find that very attractive, statuesque. So while there are men who wouldn’t be attracted to that there are men who would be attracted TO that. On the flip side, I’m 5’2, that’s extremely short for a man, I know realistically that it’s a massive minus to my attraction for most women, not some most. Flings and relationships have been possible o…

Women do not… come on.. this tired idea that women are these angels of morality that never see physical attraction as important is nuts. That bullshit will work for the barely 20-25 year old dudes here but anyone older than that will tell you women can be just as raunchy as men when speaking about men they do or do not find sexually appealing. “ I only care about personality “ I want to literally roll my eyes into my throat when I read or hear this.. it’s ok to be physically attracted to someone…

Yeah I find the assertion that men want these perfect model 10s to be continuously ridiculous. Especially for myself, I am very much NOT into someone who is so thin that they belong in the 90s heroine addict phase. Yet so many women think this. I’d go as far to say a lot of guys prefer some meat on the bone. Not “ tolerate” literally prefer it. Versus say, women “tolerating” a lack of height.. she will find it unattractive but will give it a pass… maybe
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:22 PM

They aren’t glass ceilings per say, the problem is much different. Basically a lot of these young men aren’t given a foundation to even begin with, they are hollow. No positive male role models to show them how to be a functioning adult. So they become these inept loser man babies. While the culture changes the expectations do not so these man babies hit a brick wall of expectations they can never hope to meet, fail, become depressed and blast their brains out on the shower wall.

Hell no, the amount of retarded man children in positions of power in the military is ridiculous. If anything single soldiers are almost placed in a sort of man child stasis because of barracks living. The army isn’t a reform school, there are many losers that join and stay losers when they leave.

Point I’m making is you can only be as confident as your attractiveness allows.. what I mean by that is a very small guy acting like a peacock even if it’s genuine and not an act is going to look ridiculous and it’s not going to come off well. A tall well built guy is going to look absolutely normal with that kind of self assured demeanor. It’s as if a smaller guy is expected to be a twerp and insecure.

Devoid? definitely not, that’s a gross exaggeration but the very short guys are at a disadvantage like a mother fucker despite the platitudes and made up 5’1 sexual dynamo friends/boss/family member they just happen to know… Short men unless very well proportioned tend to look fucking ridiculous.. like overgrown toddlers ( long torso short legs, possibly big head ). It’s not aesthetically pleasing and even to a straight guy it looks off and frankly comical.

It really is a spectrum, you could be gifted in pretty much every way including a very good upbringing and positive social groups or.. you could grow up in poverty, look like a foot, short, mediocre talent and intelligence and have a shit life. I feel that men have no net. If you are one of the guys that fails you are going to fall all the way to that floor and nobody is going to catch you and nobody frankly cares to. “ short men” is way too general a term. There is 5’9 “ short “ which is just a regular generic dude who will be taller than most women anyway. On the opposite spectrum there is barely 5ft-5’2 male. Way I see it the capacity and competence to conduct violence in a crisis is considered attractive or at least reassuring. A guy who can do something, can be an imposing bully to everyone around him but doesn’t because he’s a good kind hearted human being is attractive. Someone who is willing to put themselves in harms way for people they care about and again conduct violence that may end up in themselves being injured or killed is attractive. You cannot force yourself to feel attracted to someone you aren’t. Quite frankly people who try to do this are doing the other person more wrong than anyone. Come on.. I think we all know that is not how attraction works. We are not robots that adjust our settings based on our own parameters. People will settle logically but that is more of a compromise rather than truly being attracted physically to this person. Attraction is amoral, it’s not right or wrong it just is or it isn’t. This sub spends far too much time trying to make a villain of something that isn’t inherently evil. You can’t think your way into being attracted to someone. For those who…

Gattica is a good example of a negative of course. The poor not being able to afford a designer baby, the haves and have nots would be far worse than just money and education. They would be genetically superior to you. Scary stuff.

I believe it’s guys with very narrow shoulders and just an overall child like body. Just small framed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 04:13 PM

Jesus this may be very realistic and many don’t want to hear it but fuck me does it make a guy want to put one in his dome.. if I’m going to be completely honest. What I get out of this is you could put your heart and soul into trying to improve yourself but in the end you still suck and all that work is meaningless
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/22 06:36 PM

You can’t produce wit and comedic talent. You can refine it. It’s like when people tell others to “ develop a personality “.. the most retarded thing I’ve ever seen typed out.. that’s not how humans work. You are who you are
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/22 06:22 PM
2

Frankly it’s because he’s tall. A tall man can get away with the slender long physique. A tall guy pretty much can get away with most physiques other than horrendous levels of obesity. A shorter guy has to have a pretty decent amount of muscle. A skinny short guy is a twink.. not great if you aren’t gay. A fat short guy just looks like a munchkin slob or comedy relief
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 02:29 PM

If you are going to the gym without some kind of plan you are waisting time flailing around like a fool. Might as well not even go.

To stfu deal with it quietly and on their own.. nobody gives a fuck about you and your pathetic problems. You are a man, it’s the reality of things.

Very simplistic, if you are living in a roach infested one room apartment surrounded with nothing and a stack of bills on your table barely getting by.. you are very much losing

I never understand this, if you are that miserable just put one in your dome ..a logical answer

Because the rule for many boys growing up in traditional households is having any obvious emotion of weakness means you are a limp wristed pussy. So you learn to mask but it does build up over time and boils over

Probably a pathetically dead bedroom and the feeling that they are over the hill and no longer 20. A literal mid life crisis, clutching onto being a “ desirable guy” instead of facing the fact that they are old, rundown, gross and married to someone who is most likely cold as ice
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 04:29 PM

A lot of insinuation that a straight dude can’t tell if another guy is good looking.none sense, you can fully tell when a dude is good looking enough to clean up. You can also tell when some short ugly dope won’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 04:02 PM

I’ll never understand this auto response on Reddit. You have an obvious physical flaw like being 4’11 and it obviously gets you rejected… yet.. You need therapy? These people aren’t seeing illusions or hearing voices. The “ insecurity “ is founded in reality. Why is everything always fucking therapy ?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 05:07 AM

“ people are entitled to their preferences” oh shit that’s right! I feel so much better being nobodies preference ! Man oh man that really fixed the issue!

Or.. they have a baby dick lol.. sometimes a spade is a spade.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 05:01 AM

Or.. the particular woman isn’t satisfied by his size… nothing to do with the guy not knowing how to be a dynamo.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 04:59 AM
2

Whoah there I didn’t say that. What I said was that a relationship that IS abusive is going to be quickly severed when the party being abused has more options or high enough self esteem to not deal with being treated like trash. If you are a low self esteem, low confidence unattractive person you have a higher possibility of staying. I know someone who is in a relationship like this personally. SHE doesn’t think she can do any better, he is a piece of garbage. The rest of her family concurs with…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:04 PM
2

Really? You don’t think the possibility that someone who has less options vs more options is going to effect their willingness to stay? I used a short man as the example. This can easily also be applied to a woman. How many women have you known who have stayed because they think they didn’t deserve better. Isn’t that the theme that a lot of abusive relationships have in common
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:00 PM
2

There was a statistic that stated shorter men were in longer lasting marriages.. what people don’t realize is that it’s because when you have less options or no options you cling to what you do get for dear life. Even if what you have is toxic or abusive. Someone who knows they have a lot more options is going to not put up with anything nor should they.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 12:43 PM
2

Hmm looks like, have nice face, normal body or thin… BE TALL.. don’t be a midget, who woulda thought!?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 06:03 AM

More like they do it up to their early 20s in clubs while intoxicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 10:42 PM

Exactly, this is such a bullshit argument for the other side. Men AND women who have had glow ups both know the harsh realities of how people in general treat them before and after.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 09:11 PM
1

Or on the flip side women not take getting hit on as a opportunity to rip you apart about your physical features to impress their little buddies.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 09:08 PM

Oh no! Gasp! They want to have sex!! They should be put to death! It’s hilarious how everyone try’s this bullshit puritanical high and mighty virtue shit.. men enjoy sex… women enjoy sex.. for Christ sake

IIRC it wasn’t that he lost it was the way he lost
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 01:49 PM
7

Man.. I see the point of the story and the lesson but fuck.. to know that in the end you ended up a piece of garbage and died alone.. fuck.. that’s a terribly sobering ending.. all too realistic and possible for a lot of people.. my father died in nearly the same way. Pleading, drank himself to death basically, life wasted. Terrifying to know that could be anyone and that you will never get that time back.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 05:02 AM

Option 1: stop believing in sky men and fairytales that create weird puritanical misery
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 03:46 PM

You made a good point but that’s the issue.. that yes/no screening is where the buck usually stops. Which is why looks are the go to for explanation
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 02:27 PM
2

You could have just shorted this paragraph to “ shut up midget, stop being a sissy and you are also mentally ill if you feel upset about it” I think that shortens it pretty well.. not that I disagree. Harsh reality is true, nothing will change so your options are stfu and suck it up. Or if you can’t suck it up suffer in silence because nobody fucking cares
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 04:42 PM
1

Jesus Christ… the second I find myself balls deep in a piece of silicone shaped like a human with a frozen oh face and lifeless eyes i know I’ve hit rock bottom… at that point I’m checking out of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 04:38 PM
2

Of course… however, an ugly, dopey short guy isn’t going to have that option a good chunk of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 04:34 PM
3

Then perhaps consistent pervasive bullying of short boys who then become short men. Who get to continuously hear about how they don’t measure up to “ real men” by the talking heads of many social media sources and mainstream ( tv shows, movies). Having to eat that kind of bullshit and then when getting “ emotional”having people say it’s “ because you are short”. But as always “ just b confident guyz”
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 01:48 PM
3

And evidently that stems from his “ flawed short genes”… it must drive him to anger… right… Jesus
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 01:42 PM

Aren’t you just proving his anger right by going straight for the throat with the “ stereotype”?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 03:58 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/22 11:31 AM

Ehhh you are right to a certain point. Height is also an issue between men. Respect, strength, assumptions of leadership ability assumptions of competence. Both women and men shit on short guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/22 02:19 AM

Why does everyone sound like they are giving some Zen fortune cookie shit. I swear half the advice on Reddit sounds like it could come from a fortune cookie.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 05:39 PM

I’m going to be honest with you, it was never an assumption for me.. it was always said to my face very matter of fact and not always in the most cordial way. I didn’t have to assume anything it was always made very clear from the get go. However I am 5’2, the very extreme.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 03:22 AM
1

This is going to come across as aggressive but it isn’t. Do you assume that short men who have dealt with this multiple times lie about these instances ? I just find it strange that people dispute this as just being normal. At this point in my 30s I just assumed it was the status quo and was just understood by all that short men aren’t considered attractive by most women. Personally everything I’ve ever experienced had pointed to it. Ive had women look past it, however the fact that it was somet…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 01:00 AM

I’m curious where do you get the assumption most don’t versus few don’t?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 12:58 AM

Lol yeah a short guy has never been a leader at any point ever .. no sir.. only 6’5 big dick chads
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 12:57 AM

Ehhh I’ll be real he looked like a gay twink. I wouldn’t say masculine in his attractiveness. That was probably his issue.

Lol some real whackos here my man
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/22 12:55 PM

I’m talking guys around my size 5’2
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/22 03:23 PM

I rarely and I mean RARELY ever see a guy I can see eye to eye with and frankly yes.. they usually resemble bagel boss. So when everybody had that 5’2 buddy that tics all the boxes I think to myself 1. There isn’t that many of us to begin with 2. The very scant amount I have seen ain’t ticking any of the boxes of these guys.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 03:41 PM

This Reddit obsession with virgins is fucking strange. Why would a grown ass man want a woman who has zero experience and a high possibility of being terrible in bed because of that lack of experience? Sounds like they need to go chill with the Taliban
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 03:18 PM
12

No it’s basically people projecting good attributes on someone just because they are attractive. Their motives are presumed to be positive. The ugly guy gets the exact opposite reaction. You’d be surprised how common it is. Shit, I do it. I’d say it’s almost subconscious if you aren’t looking out for it. Talk to anyone who has lost a lot of weight man or woman about how people treat them afterwards. It’s enough to make you hate everyone in general
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 12:04 AM

Look at that, a genuine answer. Very rare
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/22 09:40 PM

Halo effect plain and simple. You can afford to be bold and flirty when you are pleasant to the eye. If you look like shit know your place.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/22 02:46 AM

Hmm honestly I personally think it’s worse if he gets told it’s something it’s not. If I know it’s something that I can’t change it’s closure. Better than thinking I’m doing something creepy or some other nebulous thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 09:53 PM

Holy fuck, thank you for being honest it’s very refreshing. So much better than the usual mental masturbation of women claiming it doesn’t matter or it’s all in mens heads.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 03:55 PM

Lol fucking Wolverine ( Jackman) had to severely dehydrate himself for those specific scenes.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 08:10 PM

That’s ridiculous, it could be as simple as either you or him being physically tired or even sick and that’s ok. This is extremely unrealistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 04:02 AM
1

My god people on here are fucking nuts! If I caught a woman masturbating to porn in a relationship then oh well, have a nice orgasm let me know if you need a hand. Jesus… the mental illness on here is mind boggling.

Would you be less disgusted if he were beating off facing drywall?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 03:58 AM

I’d venture to say a tall black guy or white guy would do well in places that see them as “ exotic “. Shorter brown guys or Asian guys? Nah i could see it probably worsening.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 03:16 AM
1

She thinks every short guy is built like a dainty twink?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:27 AM

“ not all women are like that” over and over the same ole message.. how about we call a spade a spade and say MOST are like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:25 AM
6

Because nobody wants to look like the shallow asshole even on the internet. Which to me is ridiculous. I’d rather harsh truths than platitudes and lies that serve to only protect an image of being wholesome
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:21 AM
1

Very much so and the treatment confirms just how much I am
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 06:40 PM
2

It wasn’t an assumption you said it. You can be unattracted to anything you want but the part with seeing grown men as children is what I’m focusing on
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 06:36 PM
1

Depends how short you are, I’m 5’2. I stand out and not in a good way. Women who are extremely short ( 4’9) would probably agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 04:55 PM
2

You see these guys as children. That surpasses attraction and goes to a different place
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 04:53 PM
1

Yes but short men get painted with shittiness before they open their mouths. Halo effects are a bitch
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 02:59 PM
1

Fuckers like that should off themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 02:59 PM
1

I’m just perplexed that this is so hard for you to grasp. Or I should say have an alternative belief on.Short guys being nearly universally seen as less attractive or completely unattractive has been a thing since either of us were born. This has been a thing way before the advent of in your face social media. To me it’s not the belief of this but what short men need to do in order to circumvent it. Questioning whether it’s reality doesn’t even cross my mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 02:47 PM
2

This is a very romantic notion but.. in practice most people look like generic shit
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 12:45 PM
1

You are getting more and more hostile feedback because in a way you are basically telling short guys who have lived unpleasant life experiences that it never happened. Basically gaslighting
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 12:37 PM
1

That’s pretty pathetic. This is why short guys have stats that favor longer relationships. The fear of never finding anyone else. So they end up in shitty abusive relationships because of lack of options
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 12:30 PM
6

That personality stereotype can go both ways. Many people who perceive themselves as unattractive can also be bitter horrible trolls.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 12:00 PM
1

Lol “ I feel safe around you”. He probably took that an entirely different way than you told him and has zero idea it’s because he’s built like a bundle of sticks
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/22 11:58 AM
3

I can see this comparison however breasts may not be the best example. There are women who are absolutely gorgeous with smaller busts and it just fits their “ look”. Where as the issue with a lot of actual short guys is they look strange, stumpy, toddler like in proportion. Just objectively unattractive. You can be short but you must have decent proportions. That’s what screws short guys over. Off putting toddler proportions ( big head, short arms, long torso, short legs.)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 08:06 PM
1

That depends, you can have some good banter and it’s not going to come off as an attack. Then there are people who specifically attack it and not in good fun. Those are the ones that do it and know they can get away with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 08:03 PM
6

I’m going to have to disagree, male height seems to be it’s own demon. Why society treats it so viciously is beyond me but there is a very different attitude towards it versus other flaws. It’s almost seen as some kind of all encompassing character flaw and at the same time absolutely green lit to be shamed. You could call some guy a midget in public and you would probably get a chuckle. Call a woman fat and you’d risk a knuckle sandwich
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 07:54 PM
3

Not everyone I agree but enough that it can damage someone growing up and continue to damage them as a young adult. When the message around you is that you are wrong and aren’t good enough as a man based on the length of your limbs you aren’t going to have a good time. With social media as it is now there isn’t much of a break from being bombarded with negative messages Pair that with the message that you should shut the fuck up and suck it up if it pains you and you have the perfect shit sandwi…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 07:36 PM
6

It does have a crumb of truth. A kid who grows up tall and is given positive feedback for it his whole life is going to have a good base of self esteem. A kid who’s treated like a worthless little elf or a child perpetually is most likely not going to build a good self image. Shit in, shit out. Which is why “ just b confident” is such trite trash advice. Especially when the same people giving that advice are the first to dogpile on a short guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 06:51 PM
6

I’m not going to sit here and act like I know him, you or your relationship but I can only speak from my point of view. There are issues I’m willing to leak out to a significant other, and there are ones that I keep to myself that I wouldn’t dare ever let leak out. I’d be willing to be everyone has that line in the sand.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 06:13 PM
6

Hate isn’t the word I would use. Hate implies people see you as a threat, I think it’s more the disgust people would have for something that is considered beneath them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 06:11 PM
7

Just because you haven’t doesn’t mean it’s not a very well known phenomenon. I’m more surprised you haven’t. It’s so damn common
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 05:19 PM
4

Plenty of “ good people” do. Life isn’t a clear cut video game. Even the people you may respect or even see as your heroes can think less of someone because of their body.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 05:06 PM
3

Realistically I will say that you do have to walk a very strict tightrope in comparison to a guy considered more masculine. Any lapse in being the most confident, self assured, competent guy will serve to prove any stereotypes she may have about short men. You have to always been cognizant of how you are perceived. The shit is absolutely exhausting. This also applies to careers as well. Especially ones that are more blue collar/physical. The minute you look like the wishy washy wussy short guy it…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 05:03 PM

Lol what, the last part of that threw me off
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 05:01 PM

Ding ding ding! Men learn to keep that shit to themselves and deny deny deny
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 05:00 PM
5

Perhaps the guy you are dating isn’t going to exactly open up about such an issue IF it was more than just jokes. Everyone wants to claim they have this Uber confident short buddy yet don’t ever think that maybe they are very adept at putting on a good show so that nobody can see any issues. As a short dude let me tell you, the first thing we learn is to first stfu about it and put up a massive front. The minute you don’t it’s blood in the water.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 04:59 PM
9

Oh come on… I don’t even think it’s up to debate. It’s literally a well known fact short men are seen as lesser in every way possible. I mean shit, Disney even pushes it. Disney bad guy? Ye he’s going to be a midget.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 04:56 PM
7

It’s a damned if you don’t damned if you do situation. Let’s say a short guy doesn’t “ compensate”. Guarantee the go to accusation would then be he’s a wuss or pussy. Meek and weak. It’s all halo effect. People perceive what they want to perceive in others.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 04:54 PM
5

I wonder if those personality traits were placed on a very short guy would it be perceived as a pipsqueek, wuss or pushover. On a 6’8 guy it comes across as a well mannered sweet gentle giant
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 04:51 PM
2

A bit beyond preference when you say that men that small are basically children. More like you find them disgusting as human beings.

Lol unless you are 5’2 or 5’3
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 02:12 PM

I think your being a bit obtuse in thinking that most of these suicides are because they can’t date “ flawless women”. That silly nonsense only happens on the internet.

I realize this is a hot button in any subreddit and on the internet in general ( of course I would never ever advocate for a teen or even someone in their 20s to think that this is a viable solution since you are still developing and finding yourself.) however, if you are in your 40s or older you should have agency on whether your life is worth living or not. When you say it’s a waste, a waste to who? It’s my life, it’s my consciousness. Why do I owe it to anyone else to continue life if I feel …

Ehhh I beg to differ, I think a lot of personality is genetic, along with the environment you are raised in and the habits and quirks you gain from people around you. Some people are born dull sticks in the mud losers.

Yep, legitimately cannot even maintain an erection if they turn me off. Can. Not. Do it
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 10:22 AM

I’m surprised. Usually the response is accusations of lying or virtue signaling since short men are not considered top shelf quality guys ( no pun intended.. or maybe intended?)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 10:18 AM

If you ask me I think you get off on being an absolute asshole to a stranger and try to find ways to validate it by masking under some militant feminists facade. Why not just admit you get a kick out of being a dick to random losers?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 07:38 PM
1

The implication is that one or even both parties no longer or never wanted to be in the relationship in the first place and feel a bit of spite or disgust for their unattractive partner. You can hide this for a little while but not for an entire lifetime. The cracks will form and either infidelity or a dead bed room will occur. This is worse case scenario though I think there is conflating of two scenarios. The one where the two people have been together for a while and are content and are still…

I don’t know about that now, redditors have a very bad habit of bending the truth in order to defend their respective gender or gain make believe internet points… it’s the weirdest and most frustrating thing about debating anything here. Always having to secure the perceived morale high ground always sours any real honest debate
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 06:47 PM

There are many things that have gradients and that are not binary. Attraction isn’t one of them. You are either attracted to someone or you aren’t. You don’t agree with this? And I’m sorry I know that people on the internet love to feign the whole “ I just love them for who they are and not what they look like” crap. I’m sorry but there has to be some sort of attraction to your partner. They don’t have to be a million bucks but I don’t want to dry heave at the thought of intercourse. That isn’t …

But.. attraction is part of a healthy relationship. You should be physically attracted to your partner. Denying that is silly. If you aren’t it’s a friendship or at best co parenting if children are involved. I was raised in this exact environment. My parents didn’t even sleep in the same bed, showed zero affection. They got along ( mostly) but there was zero passion. I learned later in life that my mother just wasn’t physically attracted to my father and it didn’t help that he was a horrendous …

Or you know, not as a consolation prize that they never actually really wanted but saw as practical. I get it, life isn’t a fairytale. After 30 you are not going to be the “ best” guy in the sack or even the most attractive even. That’s just being an adult. However… I damn sure don’t want to be a bottom of the barrel choice that is “ safe”. If that’s how I’m seen then I’d rather be on my own frankly. Nobody should be content with that.

That’s the thing, I think the fear is the guy doesn’t really know if he’s considered the shabby house. I don’t see many wives telling their husband their a 2nd hand vehicle

The issue with compromise ( settling) is that in some people it breeds resentment. You are with mr/mrs dependable but they don’t exactly knock your socks off or give you real thrill.. they are a bed rock of dependability but don’t exactly thrill you. Many marriages/relationships survive despite this but there are some people who will show resentment towards the settled for party. Nobody deserves to get fucked over like that

Ehh while it isn’t 100 percent appeal there are certain traits that will appeal to most and is generally regarded as almost objectively attractive. Tall, certain features of the face that are in common with most attractive men, in decent shape.. and sadly being white. More often than not this is a pretty damn good baseline for success. If you are very short, have a.. let’s be honest a bland or what most people would consider an ugly mug and are maybe under or overweight well you are going to be …

Lol way to lump in an entire gender into one entity. What? You think being a prick to random guy number 1 is going to somehow via some biological blue tooth effect guy number 2? I hear the usual concern is a guy reacting violently after a rejection. Isn’t being an asshole as a default going to only motivate these crazies to the exact thing you fear?

Lol idiots.. treat men like garbage.. get told to take a fucking walk. No woman is worth dealing with that. Any man who willingly takes that kind of abuse and doesn’t have the complication of children being involved is a spineless loser.. period.

I’m not arguing whether that’s the truth but I don’t think your average boring looking dependable beater car of a guy wants it pointed out to him that he’s the 2nd hand choice. That’s something she should keep to herself

I think to really simplify it the fear for these men is that they are looked at as the dependable but not exactly flashy, exciting or sexy car you use to commute to work rather than the thrill of sports car you used to own. You keep it because it gets the job done but there is zero passion and it’s more for necessity and utility. Nobody wants to be that guy. For the cases where that does happen ( see r/deadbedrooms ) I can imagine it’s incredibly damaging to the guys self image for the long haul…

Yeah calling it slight is not exactly accurate. I’d say it’s nearly a universal preference. One might say the only variable that seems to be. Other physical features seem subjective to women but height definitely isn’t one. Of course there are exceptions but they are exceptions Just read this thread, it’s even coming out here.

Fun, new, sexy. People get a thrill from having a no strings attached fling. Believe it or not despite Reddits obsession with fantasy LTRs with “ the one”… sex with the same person for years can get pretty fucking dull and routine. Best case scenario is that one or both parties attempt to keep things fresh with new ideas but I’m willing to bet your average couple in their 30s+ do the same 3 positions to completion.

That last part is terrible advice, learn to be a court jester a clown. It’s the same advice given to fat people and short men. It’s not the great advice people think it is. Ever known someone to constantly shit on themselves as a joke to lighten the mood only to make everyone a bit uncomfortable in the process? ( it’s usually a jovial fat guy ). There comes a point where it comes off as pathetic.

I see it as this, an attractive person will most likely receive positive reinforcement their entire life. They can use that to fuel narcissism or become as sweet and positive as the treatment they received Just the same with an ugly person. They can use the negative reinforcement to become bitter cynical human beings or become empathetic human beings because of the hell they went through. We are all in part created by circumstance. Can’t really say what causes a person to choose between those tw…

I really find it strange that you are arguing FOR a group that could very well be responsible for the next school massacre. There was a time when ugly people or socially inept people just kept to themselves and were miserable alone rather than go on killing sprees.

What point is this trying to make, there is zero positive to incel groups. At worst they push people to commit mass murder at best they push people to put a bullet in their brain. Where is the worth in that group?

See that’s your mistake, women band together in a hot minute when something is done/said against them. Men will openly rip each other apart and stab each other in the back to make themselves look better than their peers.

Yes yes this is all good advice for anyone man or woman of any size or shape and I appreciate it but I’m realistic in the thoughts that putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a pig. It’s not hopeless it’s not impossible but I question the preferences, intent, and quite frankly the quality of someone who would be physically attracted to a man that is the size of a child. You may be right but it isn’t too far off base to assume that If someone is treated well because they are attractive that they will most likely be a more pleasant individual overall ( we know this is not always the case.. many a spoiled brat). Someone who has lived unattractive their whole life has a pretty decent chance of being very defensive and bitter, closed off and guarded. Maybe even socially inept because of how badly they may have been bullied or neglected. It really sounds like a cruel…

This is my take, if both parties in the relationship see no harm or foul in it then it should be fine. If one of the two parties is trying to hide it or is addicted to it to the point of choosing it over their partner then it’s an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/22 05:23 PM

You completely misinterpreted what I said. Couples watching porn together or couples knowing that they each may watch porn is basically vanilla. I swear have any of you actually been in an actual normal relationship that wasn’t full of hyper triggered people? My fucking god.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/22 04:43 PM

People are doing this as we speak with both parties well in the know. Not everyone is so utterly insecure about their partner that they are jealous of video on a phone or PC. Expecting your partner to only masturbate to the exact same photos of you or their memory is just unrealistic. What kind of time are you wanting to return to? If anything this is a very vanilla thing.

This is me thinking how ridiculous it is to fear sexuality in the form of porn. If someone is such a degenerate that they become addicted to porn to the point of ruining their relationships then that is their idiocy.

Naw fuck that shit. I’ve heard this mentioned on Reddit multiple times. If the person is so unattracted to you physically that it takes “ growing on them” I want nothing to do with it. I always get a kick out of these arguments. Anyone man or woman who has been through a glow up and I mean a extreme change for the better has seen the 180 change in how people treat you not just romantically but just in normal interaction. IMO a women can be masculine or feminine and still get looked at in a positive light. Look at female fighters. An extremely masculine sport, Amanda Nunes, a powerhouse and quite honestly very masculine. Women now are able to ride the center of the divide quite easily. Men on the other hand.. as much as we like to shove progressive nonsense all over the internet, nothing has changed. A straight man will be utterly shat upon and derided by both sexes for not living up to traditional masculine idea…

I mean there really isn’t increasing value at 5’3. Objectively a man that short looks not just unattractive but utterly ridiculous. If someone has a bad personality or an unpleasant personality paying 250 bucks or more an hour to some quack isn’t going to make them a charming human being lol. Literally just sounds like an excuse. You don’t have to lift extreme weight like a power lifter to maintain an impressive physical body. True as well, I guess you have to take it as a case by case. The point I’m making is, many times the physical is the only issue. Only on Reddit is there such an issue with that being an acceptable possibility. For some reason it always must be that the person in question is a scumbag.. which to me isn’t reflective of actual life

I don’t understand honestly. Other people get a say in what is “ limiting” if your physical issue is considered unattractive by the majority than it’s limiting no matter how much you try to act like you don’t give a fuck. Life isn’t a single player game. Don’t even get me started with the strange idea that women have these psychic abilities to detect intangibles from across a room.. sorry I don’t buy it. It’s simple, and I believe this goes for both genders and humans in general. It feels good to have other humans look at you in a positive light and express it in an obvious way. It feels good to be admired or adored. It doesn’t even have to come with a subsequent action. The polar opposite of people visibly recoiling at a person who looks like a bag of shit, or treating them worse than someone who is attractive.
