This annoys me because I was brought up to be beta until my late teens despite my father being a very alpha man. I wish he'd helped me out more, especially when I was maturing. Luckily I caught on from his actions and my own experiences anyway and got it together at a fairly young age.

One crush ended up doing that to me. Obviously I was beta as fuck at the time and didn't realise that probably meant she wasn't attracted to me anymore. When I realised that I was guiding her so much and she'd never even help with anything, I literally stood up and walked away. That worked fairly well actually.
